Oooh these are gorgeous! I am particularly in love with Remi and that body... Wow! I adore it and I love that it has natural boobs, ones that aren't huge and are shaped so nicely. Gorgeous body and lovely faces. I think I just fell totally in love and now need to think about adding one to my collection some day. XD

 

These dolls are mega gorgeous?! I don't need if I need another funny-sized, hard-to-clothe pretty though... Nnuurggh...

 

Argh. You had to post those pics, didn't you? Now I find myself wanting yet another doll. *sigh*Sadhana looks great. So does Remi. And I love that body.

yeah I orderd....I have a tiny mahi and she is great...but I love all the dolls and fell in love with sadhana the first time...but well just didn't get one...but now the price is lower then last year (only until end of may)...for me she will belong to my bigger size dolls , she is now offering her with bodyart...that did it for me..so I orderd a sadhana with black hair blue eyes and bodyart ofcourse......it is just that these dolls are so special that clothings just don't do them justice...have to think about something special for her...

 

I am falling in love with Remi... Very delicate body and face... Oh that might be on the list... Or an order

As St. James noted higher, Remi is the new one in 2015. Sadhana appeared first time in 2013- so that is why Sadhana has a bigger discount

I come to share some info that I got from owners of Sadhana - she can (and Remi as well) use some staff from 16" fashion dolls: shoes made for Sybarite, Numina, Tonner, Fashion Doll Agency fit very well, some Tonner clothes can be used as well.

I make wigs very tight fitting doll head, so in a case of little difference in head shape they may not fit perfect to other manufacturer doll head, I think ...

Oh thanks for these comparison pictures... and I think sadhana can wear wig size 4,5-5 can't find any doll head size from popovy girls, but handmade wigs are difficult because they mostly have hard headcaps?....monique wigs have stretch caps so they will fit (they are not so pretty as the handmade ones)

I love my Sadhana! I got her last year and she still doesn't have a faceup.
Her dress is by Julia and her wig is a stretchy 4/5. (slightly big) We have never tried any shoes.
Her sister Remi will join us this summer.

Since the thread is so quiet - I'll just add that I just got my shipping notice for Sadhana. I have no idea how long she'll take to arrive from Russia but I'm expecting it to take at least 10 days to arrive to US.

I've also commissioned an outfit for her from someone who makes things for Popovy girls. I think it will work since most of the measurements look similar and it will be a loser style. Also have shoes shipping that should fit but may be on the large size. We shall see.

For those of you in the U.S., how long did it take to recieve your dolll once you got the shipping notice?

 

Amber, my Sadhana has arrived a while ago. I just love her.
She is borrowing a wig and doesn't have proper clothes yet, but I plan on making her a wig and I have commissionned a white dress for her.

ah great to see more girls, love the comparison ...she is so perfect skinny....mine will take longer, I didn't hear anything yet, but then I orderd her with the pretty body paint and face-up......just thinking about getting her a pair of smaller eyes, on the pictures her eyes are 8mm but I like it a little more realistic so need to get her a pair of 6mm I think will see when she is here...

not sure how long the shipping will take to us....

 

I think it can take around 20 days to arrive to USA - I live on the border with China, very far from Moscow, where the package should go first for customs.

Sigh…my girl is still hanging out in Moscow - it's been almost 10 days. But the wait will be over soon. So far I've ordered an outfit and shoes for her. Shoes are here, outfit will probably take another 20-30 days. Then off to the dolly spa for her face up. It will be a good 2-3 months before she's all together. I'd like to make her jewelry to pass the time but want to wait until I get her so I can judge the proper scale.

 

Oh, these days EMS works really bad here I'm waiting for my package from China for a two weeks and still not get it...

aaaahhhh that's great thank you...the body paint is so magical....I do have some things for her(like a corsetdress...don't want anything that covers the painting...shoes...and I did buy some extra wigs and turned them into some sort of headdress/crowns...not sure how to call it...it was fun to do, but I am not even sure if she will like them ( she is a sort of goddess ).her raven black hair is going to be her basic one...and the others are specials for taking pictures.

 

Oh I'm sorry for you too! Even though both countries are so big, they are next door to each other!

I think my girl is taking a final tour of her country before she leaves. I hope she's taking pictures!

Wilkies - you got the tattoo… can't wait to see photos. I'm regretting not getting that done.

EDIT: Just checked shipping status and my girl is finally in the US. Now she just has to make it across the country to SF. This final week of waiting is going to be painful. Hoping to have her by next weekend!

Victoria Sam…you were right on so many things! My girl showed up today. Took 1 day to get to me once she arrived in US.

And while I "knew" she was a delicate girl - I really was blown away by how delicate she was. Her hands and fingers, so slim and all arrived in perfect condition. She was packed so well. I cannot wait to get her painted.

Anyway some notes that made be VERY excited. She can fit some 1/6 scale action figure clothes and shoes Of course shirt sleeves and pants are too short but with a little creative styling - it can work. At the moment I have her wearing some items from DiD but also tried some Phicen & Very Cool pieces. DiD shoes fit and look in scale. I also tried some shoes made to fit FR16 which worked as well.

I ordered the handmade wig from Oxana which is beautiful but I'm afraid I'm going to mess it up. So I plan to use a Monique wig as a back up. I have a 4/5 mohair wig and it fit her perfectly. I'm so excited that she isn't as difficult to dress as I was anticipating. But I'm really looking forward to her custom outfit. Below she's wearing various things from DiD & Ken.

Congrats on your girl making it to customs! Can't wait to see another post. DiD is "Dragon in Dream". They make various action figures and accessories for 1/6 scale (11/12 inches). Because Sadhana is so slim, she can fit some 1/6 scale male clothes, especially DiD which runs slightly smaller than some other lines.

 

she is home!!......so pretty...she is perfect.. Just changed her light blue 8mm eyes for darker(warmer) blue 6mm eyes...I will post a picture now and then, because we are not allowed to put more then one picture in discussions?....ah well you can always look at my flickr....I will sure make a lot of pictures..so everytime I make a series of new ones I will put one here

Although my girl isn't finished. The fullest that I commissioned for her arrived today and I had to try it on her before I send her head off for painting. I can't wait until she's "complete."

thank you, and thank you st james...I forgot that I can put her in the gallery...anyway.. it is more fun to discuss and show a picture now and then...she tried out some wigs I changed for her, they are a good fit, they are monique 4,5-5......they are real photoshoot wigs.........she is also trying out clothings and it is fun she can wear some blythe stuff..yosd stuff and msd stuff...some things has to be a little changed but I seem to have enough clothings that she likes (also some casual outfits if she is tired of being a goddess).....here is the red wig, the color is nice on her......sorry I removed picture and put in a new pretty one...

 

Oh that's exciting…especially the blythe stuff. There are so many things made for that size. Is it mostly dresses that would fit?

I have restrung her, and she can stand by herself. Rather surprising

 

oh my girl can stand without restringing...but I put on her other feet so not sure if she still can..I think a stretch blythe dress will work but way too short...I just have some things from ttyacom that I tried on her ( I ever bought them blythe sized..like a oversized overall and some hoodies...so it was fun that they fit...not really her style...but you never know....
here she is with the first outfit..I bought them for my dollzone gill(but she changed into a boy...the corset was to wide so had to make it more tight.

She has a wonderfull face-up by Marlequeen, who taught me how to make her wig (it was my first try ever at latex wigs)

 

Aaaaa yes! So happy to see a thread for Miss Oxana's creations! She's hands-down my favorite sculptor - such fine detail in everything she makes, and such gentle, beautiful curves! I have Oxana's 18cm Mahi (unfortunately off-topic because her eyes have to be painted on), and I've been putting some serious thought into adding Remi to my doll family in the not-so-distant future.

A few questions for the owners: What kind of elastic are Remi and Sadhana strung with? How do their heads, hands, and feet connect - with s-hooks or something else?

 

not sure what you mean with the elastic? it is just the normal white elastic....her hands and feet are connected with s hooks,so you can change her feet ( I have a pair of high heel feet and normal feet)...here a picture of my sadhana and mahi

 

wilkies, thank you! I was curious because, well...you know how Mahi is strung. The only s-hook she has is in her head. It's unlike anything I've ever seen, so I was curious about whether or not Oxana's 40cm dolls are put together similarly.
