Baede and Vraeden

Hello there,
I just thought I might share my two Self made dolls, Baede and Vraden, with you all. First off, I gotta say that neither of them are really very well made, and they are both pretty small compared to most BJDs, but I really like them a lot . I made both of them out of just regular sculpey (which I wouldn't recommend most people using) because I already had a lot of it (as in "Artist/Teacher's Bulk Pack).

First theres Baede:


Baede was the first doll I made and he has a few problems. He was made during a long period of time in which I did not have access to the internet and so I had basically no resources to work from. Because of this, his joints are not made the way I would have prefered. Also, (here comes the reason why regular sculpey is not recommended) there are a few cracks in his arm. Nothing terribly bad, but obviously not a good thing. It took me about three weeks to make him and, despite his problems, I love him to bits .

Vraeden:


Vraeden was (somewhat obviously) the second doll I made. He is also made quite a lot better, in my own opinion at least, since I was able to avoid a lot of the problems I had whilst making Baede. He is quite a bit taller than the other and he can stand a lot better as well. I think my favorite thing about him are his eyes. They came out a lot better than I expected them to and I think they really do suit him. Also, just to give a hint of his size, though he is a good bit taller than one of them, his wig was taken from a "What's Her Face" doll (this is also a disclaimer, I did not make the wig).

I'll prolly be making another doll pretty soon since I'm getting kinda antsy. =P

I think I'll most likely start a larger doll as soon as I can get some stronger material.
