Hi everybody, it's been a while! I'm Monochrome (man I haven't used that name in a while) and I'm a casual collector. Life had gotten in the way the past few years and I've been away from all the doll and figure collecting communities. Though I do like to add a doll to my collection from time to time. I've been collecting bids for over a decade. I was surprised when I got a notification that I had been member of DoA for ten years already. Wow time flies. Other things about me are that I work for dental and I do vtubing on the side along with video editing, drawing and rigging vtuber models. The job and vtubing take up a lot of my time so I don't have as much time working on my dolls or making clothing anymore. The main reason I came back was because I have a big life change coming up. I'm moving for the first time ever. This means I'll have a bigger room to display my doll collection! So I'm also wondering what kind of display others have. I've been looking online how to display bjds but most of the results are with people that own MSD or smaller sizes. I own a lot of big guys that I'd love to have in one spot. Currently I have most of them on a ladder shelf and the ones too big for that are on an ottoman. Other than that, I'm excited to be back! I hope I get to meet new people and get back together with old friends!
Welcome back! Some of the Iplehouse owners could probably help you out with display ideas. I'm pretty sure a few of them had some nice glass cabinets they were displaying their dolls in. However, I can't remember who off the top of my head; I also just came back from a long hiatus a short time ago. I think some people have tried using Ikea furniture, but I can't remember for sure.
Oooh that's a great idea! I'll definitely have to look into the Iplehouse threads soon! Thanks for the idea!
