Back after a long absence - Reintroduction

    1. Hellol, I tried joining DOA when I first started getting into the hobby, (about 3 years ago) but the rules and such, were very intimidating. I follow Asenva's BJD Dollie Talk Tuesdays and she recently talked about DOA and I'm encouraged to try it again.
      I don't know how active I will be or can be (I only have 1 doll on the approved list). Has Impldoll been approved?

    2. Hi! Welcome to DoA! I’ve been a member here since 2015, and in my experience everyone here is really patient, and really nice about people who are still getting to know how the site works!!

      Impldoll IS absolutely approved for discussion on DoA. I’m in the large impldoll discussion, because I have a Eudora and and an Aurora hybrid. Which impldoll do you have?

      Also if you have off-topic dolls like 3D printed BJDs, you’re welcome to discuss them in brigadoon threads, which is the general off-topic area. The only dolls anyone would ever get in trouble for mentioning on DoA are recasts, so don’t feel like you have to never talk about your off topic dolls! There is a place you can talk about them!

    3. Welcome!

      Many of us have interests in off-topic BJDs (and non BJD dolls) and, as @Chameleon said, there's also the discussions for off-topic dolls in the Brigadoon section.

    4. I have some 3D printed dolls but I have them strictly for personal exercise (when learning 3D printing) and don't post them on social media. I know most of them are a legit, for personal use only, but one I paid for the .stls and its questionable - so she is a "bad" doll. I wipe her face and redo as practice for my legit dolls.
      I have a CP Fairyland Minifee Sircca (my first resin doll), an Impldoll SuSu (the plump body), a tiny Granado Jade and this year, I acquired a blank PashaPasha Doll - Simply Beautiful. I have a couple event heads I want to hybrid on Impldoll bodies (Lutz and a Rain Man head - he did independent of Elf Doll).
      My partner got heavily into vinyl dolls so they are still a huge part of our collection but I have been slowly moving toward resin bjds.

    5. Cool, I may check that out. We still have a disporportionate number of vinyl (dollfies, azones and smd) and I became addicted to those tiny blindbox abs plastic "bjds".

    7. Hello! It seems like as long as you stay somewhat on topic to BJD, people are pretty forgiving ;^^ and I do think there's a lot of overlap between resin fans and people who like vinyl dolls! I mean, I'm mostly a resin person but love TinyFox, which are MJD ;^^

    8. Hello and welcome :) I have 2 Impldoll's a Greta which was modded to have a scorpion tail (not buy me) and Xavier. I love watching Asenva's Dollie Talk Tuesdays but it's rare I catch it live due to time difference.
