[Azone] Do Obitsu/Azone "Iris Collect Petit" (AZT8-45 Body) clothes fit regular MSD BJDs?

Aug 3, 2021

    1. I'm pretty sure the AZT8-45 Obitsu body is off-topic (although I can scarcely find any information on it) which is why I posted this thread to Brigadoon! If they actually ARE on topic, please do move the thread elsewhere!

Azone has this line of dolls called Iris Collect Petit that seem to be 1/4 scaled, as I think they are somewhere between 43-45cm. They seem to use a body called the Obitsu AZT8-45 body, but I can't find much information on it. They look similar to standard MSD bodies in terms of size and stylization.

So I was wondering if their clothes might potentially be regular MSD sized, or close to it. I don't have much interest in the dolls themselves, but their clothes are really cute! I would love to own some of the dolls' outfits for my own BJD.

Anyone own any of the Iris Collect Petit dolls? Would you say it's close to MSD size / measurements? Comparison pics would also be useful, if possible.

    2. That body should be essentially the same as the Obitsu 45cm body, which is a lot easier to find information for. I think the Azone clothes would be too small for a typical MSD body like Volks, but would probably work for a lot of the slimmer 1/4 bodies. Here's a chart that has measurements for the 45cm body so you can compare to your own BJDs' measurements.

    3. All the 40-60cm bodies used on Azone dolls should be grandfathered here as they are Obitsu framework bodies (some are the same bodies, some have slightly unique vinyl shell pieces). It's hard for me to give you a perfect answer because I mostly sew my own clothes and I favor stretchy things but as far as "smaller" dolls go I have Volks Sdmidi girl, Volks MSD girl, and obitsu 40 and they all wear the same clothes really well for me. I would compare images of the Obitsu bodies on the Obitsu/Parabox site and see what you think, if that info is helpful in your situation with this particular body.

    4. When I get home from work today, I can try some of my Iris collect petit girls clothes on a more normal sized body -- although, it seems a bit skinny, so maybe they will suit slim msd better than anything... I will definitely see when I get home!

    5. I probably should have specified in my original post, but my own doll is a slim MSD, so the Azone clothes being more fit for slimmer MSDs is actually really good to hear for me! I don't really mind the looser fit of certain kinds of regular MSD clothes on a slim doll, but it's always nicer when the clothes fit better rather than looser -- and gives more options too.

From what people have said, I'm guessing these Iris Petit dolls are slimmer than regular MSD, but maybe not as slim as say, a MiniFee? It sounds very inbetween, but if it's closer to a slim MSD, that's better for me, as the doll I would be putting the clothes on is a slim MSD. I forgot to specify in my original post :sweat

I'm not sure if you have any slim MSDs, but even seeing the clothes on a regular MSD would still give some kind of scale. I've tried regular MSD clothes on a slim before (and researched it otherwise) so I have a bit of an idea of what's a bit too big and what's passable, so seeing the Iris Petit clothes in comparison will still be helpful.
