August Comes Home! (Xaga Doll Bobby box opening)

I got dolly mail today! It's my Xaga Doll Bobby, my first YoSD.
I fell in love with this sculpt from the second that I saw it and just knew that I had to have her.

I ordered Bobby through Alice's Collections on June 7th. She shipping on August 22nd and arrived on August 31st.




Proud parents David and Jolene have come to oversee the box opening and meet their daughter for the first time.




The Xaga Doll box is without a doubt the most beautiful doll box of any that I've received so far. It's a lovely turquoise with soft pink polka dots and a silver Xaga emblem in the center.




Beneath the lid we find a silky soft cushion, a gold envelope, and a red mesh drawstring pouch.




That is a for reals wax seal on that envelope. I don't know why that thrilled me so much, but it was super exciting for me. lol The certificate of authenticity is quite beautiful as well.
She also came with a pair of dark blue acrylic eyes.




There are some lovely sculpted details on the body that weren't apparent in the company photos. Her belly, for example, is ever-so-slightly rounded, which you can see fairly well in this shot. It's really adorable.

She's looking a little Daft Punk with all that headgear. I think it's time to free her.




Eeeeeee! She is sooo cute!

This is another shot where you can see the impressive sculpted details quite well. Her collarbone and chest are very nicely rendered. The sculpting is soft and subtle, but doesn't feel lacking in any way.

Popped in a set of 14mm chocolate brown glass eyes that I had lying around, and with that August Jane Sanada is born.
