Hello everyone Apologies if this question is asked a lot, but I was just wondering what wait times currently are for AE minis? I'm assuming it's the usual 3 months, but some info I found pointed to 6+ month waits! That was awhile ago but I just wanted to ask here before ordering a Mini Calandra ^^

 

My wait for my most recent body order was 4 months, buuut it didn't have a head or face up. :3

 

Well I'm very excited, I just placed my first doll order of the year at 1AM for a merman Arweil! Just waiting for a confirmation from Legend Doll, fingers crossed I ordered him in time According to the order time on the website I should be safe still.

Has anyone else ordered a mermaid yet?

 

There are two that I want - but just the heads on regular human bodies :3 I'm waiting to hear back if I can order them in that combination.

 

@wherethelilacsbloom That sounds like a lovely idea! They all have such sweet faces, they'd look great as humans. Hope you hear back about it soon.

 

Welp, I settled on ordering a Candice. I really just wanted her in human form, but I had to order the mermaid sets in order to get her head. X_X So I didnt have the budget to get them both, as I was hoping to do. Maybe an Undine head will pop up on the second-hand market sometime But I'm pretty excited about Candice!

Won't be keeping her mermaid body, but I'm thrilled with how lovely her head is.

 

I ordered an Arweil back in November. I've been desperately searching for wait times since lol. Seems like no one buys from this company or something. I guess i'm probably in for at least 4 months? Maybe a bit more with Chinese New Year taking up this month *sigh* anyone got their mermaids yet?

 

@DontShoottheDucks I ordered an Arweil as well, though on layaway. I haven't finished paying him off yet I couldn't find any up to date info on wait times either so I think it's definitely safe to assume we have a 4 month+ wait ahead of us.

I wonder why more people don't order from Asleep Eidolon, their dolls are all really lovely. I can only assume it's because AE don't have many dealers so maybe a lot of people just haven't heard of them before?

 

@Magical Rin I guess that could be? It's really too bad. Glad i should at least see a few more merfolk soon!

I already have everything planned for my Arweil and i've always wanted a merdoll so the wait has been pretty agonizing despite it not being as long as dollzone yet lol

It's been a dream of mine to own a merman doll since I entered the hobby in 2009, so I'm excited to get mine as well! Can't wait to see what you do with him.

I've ordered all my bits and pieces for him as well; ordering through Legend Doll made that easier to just add his wig, eyes, etc to the same order. Oh god, I hope the wait isn't as long as DollZone/DollChateau

The wig is all i don't have. I was supposed to get it commissioned but the person i asked seems to have dropped off the planet so i'll likely have to make it myself when he gets here. Which will be.. an adventure. I've never made an updo besides buns before lol
I plan to do his faceup myself too. Man i wish he was here haha

 

@DontShoottheDucks I've never made a wig before at all so I applaud your efforts! I'm sure it'll turn out great.

Ooh, I look forward to seeing what you do with his face up. I chose to get his company face up myself. What colour did you get his tail in, the one in his company photos or different?

I wanted to get the rainbow tail but there was no way i'd be able to do that extra like 90 or however much it was. So i got him in snow white and plan to paint it in pastel colors. I was tempted to get the company faceup, it's so cute! But i had already planned some 80s makeup for him haha. I hope someone who ordered before us pops in with an update soon

 

@DontShoottheDucks The rainbow tail was so pretty~ but yeah, the price definitely was a killer. I look forward to seeing how you blush it and his face up too, the 80s concept sounds really interesting. I couldn't resist his cute default face up

I didn't order mine until January 1st so I've got a long wait ahead of me yet. I'll be keeping a close eye out for any wait time updates that's for sure.

 

Hey! I ordered an Arweil on Oct 29 and am still in the waiting stage; hope that helps! I was searching around for average wait times and I found nothing, so I suppose we're the guinea pigs this time around :' ) Excited to see everyone's mers when they come in!

 

Nothing to say about wait times, but someone on the BJD Addicts page on fb has received their doll with a rainbow tail

I just paid off the layaway for my Arweil! Hurt the bank account a bit but I actually feel like "The Wait" has started now

I hope we start seeing some mermaids/men popping up on the forum soon! I can't wait to see how they all turn out.

 

@Magical Rin that's great! I think i saw a recent post made that someone got a mermaid in! I forgot to ask when they ordered and how long it took, and now i can't seem to find it, argh
I'm still waiting on my boy, though. I keep checking for an update, but no luck..

Guess who!! I didn't even get a ship notice or anything. I thought he was supposed to come with a harp though?

I'm going to ask about the harp, but i'm just happy he's here!

 

@DontShoottheDucks Ahh! Congrats on his arrival~! He looks so adorable even without any blushing I'm positive he was supposed to come with a harp so I hope you hear back about it. None the less, hooray for the first merman photo of the thread!

Good news, everyone! The harp randomly appeared yesterday in the mail. I guess they sent it separate. It's much larger than i expected. But very pretty!

 

@DontShoottheDucks How lovely, grats on him arriving safely!! My boy was apparently sent the wrong certificate of authenticity but he will ship this week so I'm super excited *u*

 

@DontShoottheDucks That's great news about the harp. I was wondering if it was going to be on the large side or not, I couldn't really visualise it next to a doll so was curious how big it is.

@Koru Congrats on the impending shipping! Be sure to post photos when he arrives. I didn't order my boy until January so I've still got a while to wait myself so I'm excited to see user photos of him

@DontShoottheDucks Oh wow the harp really is huge Much bigger than I was imagining! His face up looks so cute, looks like he's got a lot of personality even without his wig That being said I can't wait to see him with it on.

 

@Magical Rin yeah i thought it would be like half this size.. very surprising lol. And thank you! I just finished him up this morning lol. He's obsessed with the 80s so his makeup is Jem and the Holograms inspired haha

 

@DontShoottheDucks Oh wow, he's gorgeous!! May I ask how you painted his tail? It looks a little shimmery too *o*!!

 

@Koru thank you! I used a makeup sponge actually! It made it super easy and no brush strokes. His tail is super shimmery lol. I wish my camera was good enough to pick up on it, but alas.. for the shimmer i used a fluffy brush after the paint was fully dry and put a metric sh*t ton to be sure it would show through the sealant (and also i just love shimmer)

None of my other dolls can lay like this. I am so proud of you, Prince Indigo!

 

@DontShoottheDucks You definitely did a stellar job with him, and he looks SO beautiful with everything put together!

 

@DontShoottheDucks His wig looks so pretty~ he looks great all complete, and it looks like he can pose extremely well. I don't think many, if any of my dolls can pose like that either, even my LoongSoul mermaid girl can't really do that

 

@Magical Rin @Koru thank you both so much! I was quite surprised by his posing. I wasn't expecting much honestly, but even the tail has quite a range of movement. I'm very impressed, especially since he's quite tight right now

As a side note i'd like to thank AE for numbering the tail pieces lol. It made it way easier to put it back together after painting. So if anyone plans on painting the tail make sure you check the numbers during re-assmebly!

 

Good news, my boy shipped today! So I am expecting him to come in the next few days ^_^!!

Just got my Arweil boys back from my makeup artist!
Will have to hunt for a body for my Human ver. Arweil, myou normal pink is a very good match!

 

@Hyakkiyagyo the first picture isn't working, but the second one is super pretty! Did everyone get Arweil? Lol

 

He's finally here!! Super excited to start painting him!! Although they didn't include an assembly guide so I have no clue how to attach his tail fin ;; Help please!!

 

If they're anything like the 1/3 size, you have to pull the large S-hook down and attach the smaller S-hook (connected to the fin) to the elastic, then remove the large S-hook entirely. It's just there to keep them strung during transport.

 

Question, how do you guys able to get the white or ns tail? On legenddoll solid tail only comes in pink

 

@Koru you probably figured it out already but yeah just pull the big S hook and put the tailfin's hook in. I found it easier to actually use a tool like a head puller or just some ribbon. I held the tail with my feet so my hands were free to do the rest lol

@marxwyn really? That's strange. When i asked legenddoll, they told me it'd be the same color resin as what you chose for the skin tone unless you got one of the fancy transparent tails. I ultimately bought mine through Clover-Singing and it was the same deal through them. Are you sure it was a mermaid from this run? I know AE had a different mermaid that does come with a solid pink tail no matter what at some point and i think legenddoll had a few left in stock or something (or they weren't limited. I can't remember)

 

@DontShoottheDucks you could be right. Perhaps I was confusing it with previous mermaid series.
Aw.... now I felt a bit silly, could have gotten mine plain tail >_______<

 

How long have you guys waited on your Arweil? I ordered Feb 1st from Legend doll.

 

@Rynn007 I ordered my Arweil on Jan 1st and still haven't heard anything yet so I'm almost 5 months into my wait, I like to think he might be ready soon though.

 

@Magical Rin I think you will get yours soon. Especially if yours no makeup/tail blushing.
I just received confirmation that mine is on it's way here. I ordered just after Christmas.

 

@marxwyn I ordered him with a face up and the tail blushing so I wouldn't be too surprised if he takes another month to get to me, but I'm quietly hoping he might be ready this month. Only time will tell

 

I ordered my mermaid Dione from Dolkus on Dec. 24, and am still waiting for it... Mine is also with face up and tail blushing but I'm also hoping it'd arrive soon :'(

 

Exciting news guys my Arweil has shipped from LegendDoll~! I'm so excited!!

I ordered him January 1st and he was shipped May 25th. So in total he's taken almost 5 months.

@julia9295 I'd say she'd have to be nearly ready. I've heard Dolk can be a bit slow getting orders though, I think they order dolls in batches like DDE? I've not ordered from them before but maybe that's why she's taking a bit longer. I hope she gets to you soon!

I would be more thrilled about my shipment but as it turns out my Arweil was almost accidentally sent to the United States!!?? I noticed on the tracking it said the destination country was the United States and immediately got onto Legend Doll. Thankfully, they said they'd contacted EMS and will have him sent back to them where they will then resend him too me in Australia

I do not understand how this happened, but I'm thankful it seems Legend Doll have things covered. They were very nice about the whole situation. Hopefully I hear from them again soon and Arweil will make it home this time. Fingers crossed, I'm still a little worried to be honest.

 

Hello everyone! I will be joining in on the fun of this thread. Thanks to Fabric Friends & Dolls I will be getting a Arweil. They contacted Asleep Eidolon & agreed to let me order one. I was happy to hear the news as I know the order period for that doll has long passed.

I'm very happy and excited to report my Arweil arrived today safe and sound! It was very unexpected as Legend Doll didn't send me an email saying that they'd re-shipped him. You can check out more photos of him in his unboxing thread here

He's the cutest little merman ever. I've named him Caspian, but his nickname and more commonly used name is Lumie



I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to see his harp was painted. I didn't think it came with blushing at all.

Did you order the lower human body for him by the way? Are his upper body and lower body detachable?

I didn't order a human lower part since I've got no intention of turning into a human, his tail and upper stomach piece are two separate parts but you'd need to unstring his tail to separate them completely
