Yep. These eyes just saved me. I have got 2 pairs of glass brown eyes from Leeke and they are desperately big for her. I can't see the white part at all.

But I'll try to get some other eyes for her. Acrylic eyes look... hm... maybe cheap? I don't know. I like the gloss and shining and weight of glass eyes.

 

AmoreMio, Your Aure is so pretty! She looks cute in all of the wigs but the short blonde one really makes her look so adorable! It also makes me want one of my own. I think Aure is at the top of my list now. I checked out your box opening too; thank you for the blank head photos. She is such a pretty sculpt!

These little gals definitely have a way of getting what they want! Does she have a name yet?

 

I'm not quite sure 'bout the name... Maybe Amy or Annie. "Annie" is a first name I thought of when I applied a first layer of blush on her little head and saw how delicate and shy her face is.
I'm so sorry to say that now but she seemed to be so much more simple-minded and... gosh it's hard to find an English word for that... uncomplicated, maybe? But she's not that kind of girl, oh noo.

 

Both those names seem to fit her, AmoreMio, she definitely has a sweet look about her! It is funny how sometimes names will come to me right away and other times my dolls just don't seem to want to tell me!

Hey everybody, I have a question. I've only ever owned Fairyland dolls and I'd like to know how AE's posing and quality stands up to FL? Anybody care to share, please?

 

littlegreycoconut I don't know any doll which is comparable with FL in posing. If you wish I can make some photos of Annie so you can judge yourself. Just tell me what poses you want me to show you or give me some pictures of your FL girls in this poses so that I can refer to them.

About quality. Annie is my first bjd doll and I was ready for dreadful seams and chipped thin parts (our Russian Post is known for its peculiar attitude to their customers' valuables) but I can't see any seams on her body AT ALL and she went through her long journey without neither chips nor damage.
Her default hands are not as graceful as "glamor" hands I ordered with her. If you want I can take some comparison photos.

I've chosen her not only for her lovely face which I fell in love with at first glance, but for her body proportions, too. AE body proportions remind me of mine (except for the leg lenght, of course)

while Minifee's body is too perfect for me not to get jealous (it sounds weird... but....) And it's easier for me to love someone who looks like me than someone who reminds me of my flaws/imperfections.

p.s. I'm waiting for YoSD by Xaga-doll (which is AE's... mmm... what's the world for this? collaborator?) and I think of Littlefee body for her. But the serious skintone mismatch makes me hesitate. On the other hand, Littlefee's are at least popular and I can meet someone to compare resin irl easily (to figure out what will it take to blush the head to match). And other movable and posable tiny bodies' skins are are not so easy to find and compare. But I know that in theory AE's NS resin is simimlar to XAGA's so if it turns out to be true than I will have many comparison photos on flickr.

 

AmoreMio: Thankyou so much that's so kind of you! It's good to know that AE seems to have good quality. I know what you mean about choosing a doll who has some slight imperfections. I also feel more comfortable with dolls who are a bit more real.

Unfortunately I don't have a FL Minifee. I'm just interested in how well AE dolls can hold a position, and if you have any problems posing her. So any basic poses like sitting, kneeling, walking, standing on one leg would be very helpful. I guess because I've only ever had tiny Fairyland dolls (and by tiny I mean Pukipuki Realpuki size) I'm nervous about...

1. Ordering a larger doll and...
2. Ordering from a company other than Fairyland because when I've never seen an AE doll in person.

But whatever I do I just can't seem to get Aure out of my mind. Maybe I'm meant to order her.

Congrats on your new Xaga!!! Littlefees are amazing posers but, yes, you'd probably have to blush her head pretty heavily to match. FL resin seems to be slightly darker and peachier than or Xaga from the little I've seen. Good luck deciding though. I hope you find a good match.

Congratulations jenniekay! Your Lemon is very pretty! That combination of hair and eyes is perfect for her! Blueberry is on my list also, along with Lemon, Aure, and Coral. They are all so cute but slightly different; it makes me want to "collect them all" even though I know I realistically can't.

Hello, I'm new here, nice to meet you all!
Does anyone have Blueberry blank head photo? I'm in difficult phase deciding which girl I want to choose, Blueberry or Aure.
I found a clear blank Aure head photo thanks to AmoreMio but no luck with Blueberry.
The only difference I notice is Aure have fuller lips and their eye shape have a little difference? Someone who have both head should be able to know better, but everyone opinion is very helpful

 

Welcome Twinage, it's nice to have you here! Sorry I don't have a Blueberry, but I do have an Aure.

 

I'm quite leaning to Aure (mainly because beautiful photo like yours, Coco ), I think I love her head shape more than Blueberry but the only thing that prevent me from choosing her is fuller, plumper lips. It's actually beautiful but for a more mature look, I will need a small one like Blueberry. Is there anyway for me to mod lips shape? Or maybe I should wait for new AE girls?

 

Twinage: Aww, thanks, I'm glad you like my girl. I can't recommend Aure enough, she has such a sweet gentle look. Yes, you could mod her lips yourself. Also there are some really talented modders out there. You might want to take a peek in the marketplace to see who you can find. Good luck hun!

Hi everyone, I just want to check something:

7 years ago, I bought an MSD sized Yara, and I heard that MSD Yara was discontinued because there's a problem with the mold.
Is she still discontinued? Or did they re-do her?

I know they have SD sized Yara, but do they have MSD Yara now?

Because I'm thinking of selling her and wonder what price range she should be.

I was shocked by her skin tone when I first received her, but my mum wanted me to keep her. I later learnt that she was discontinued.

 

Hi there! I love seeing everyone's AEs! I love their sculpts.

Here's my Blueberry, Tali. I've had her for awhile now, and I adore her so. :3 She just got new shoes and a panda shirt today. I'm quite pleased with how the top fits, it's almost like a mini-dress, much different than the pictures. A lot longer than I thought. It is KuYinDiDai from MoC, just in case.

Ever since I discovered Terra had a tiny (microscopic nearly) scratch on the side of her faceup she seems pouty at me.
But it's an adorable pouty. I don't think I can get her redone anytime soon!

Terra is so cute! I love her eyes. I removed the blonde from Tali's hair recently and she got some new clothes! I need to take pictures. I adore pouty dollies.

Also, RS is a nice match for AE! I'll have to get my dollies together and take a resin comparison photo sometime soon.

Tali is such a cutie! I need to get some new eyelashes for Terra too. I destroyed them when I changed her eyes. ;_;

 

I remembered I had some somewhere after typing that, I just put them on her! She's looking cute! I'll have to get some pictures later. :3 She had teeny tiny eyelashes from when I sent her to my bff for a faceup. I wanted longer ones, though, so yay for finding some longer ones! She was originally gonna have red hair, but then I got this blue wig, and I love blue/purple/teal so much I wanted to try it on her. Tali's head is really big compared to my other MSDs. Like, that wig is SD sized and it fits her great. It also fits my DZ June head. I really like it on Tali though, I'm thinking it is gonna stay. :3 She has red eyebrows. Not sure if I'll see about getting her a new faceup or what. I really like hers now. >.< ah, dolly decisions!

I'm thinking Blueberry may be one of my favorite sculpts. I've only ever seen adorable ones! Yara is very cute too! I really want to get a Lemon and Orange someday, but I don't know when I'll do that. c:

 

Hoping it's okay to join in the conversation here. I've just adopted an AE Blueberry. Her name is Charlize but everyone calls her Charlie. She's mom to my AE Peppermint Trixie. Have to say that I love the AE dolls. They are solid and pose so well! I do wish they were a bit easier to get and a bit more popular.

Hi Cutiepie! waves with both hands I have been known to hang out on the tinies thread with Eilidh and Eirwen. They have both moved on now so it's just Trixie unless I borrow Max and Miela from my daughter Lubelle. They haven't met Charlie yet

How hard was it to put on the eyelashes? Charlie doesn't have any and I was thinking about getting her some.

 

I know this question wasn't exactly directed at me, but putting on eyelashes isn't too hard.
I'd say it's a lot easier putting on your doll than it is putting fake eyelashes on yourself.

Lol! I've never put fake eyelashes on myself so maybe it's a good thing I don't have any experience to compare it to! I guess I won't have to worry too much about poking Charlie in eye though

My Yara couldn't look nice in blonde at all, unlike animagic4u.
I think it's the skin colour though.

She looks much nicer in a black wig. I think she looks quite Asian. I guess Asian styled faceup would be nice.
I saw Yara on display in the 2007 Dollism Plus, and she looked great in Chinese fairytale clothes.

Hey everyone, I just adopted a beautiful Coral faceplate with some birthday money I got from my parents in England! I'm thrilled! My long term plans are to create my favorite Disney Princess characters from AE mini girls. I already finished Snow White (Aure) who you can see in an earlier post. Sleeping beauty is #2 on the list. So stay tuned to see the progress. I'll post a pic of the head as soon as I get permission from the seller.

Everyone, I want to share my new girl. Brier Rose. She's my Sleeping Beauty character, inspired by the movie Maleficent. She's borrowing a body from my Aure, Snow White, temporarily and she's still waiting for her eyelashes but I absolutely adore her!
