Everyone has such lovely dolls! I love the AE minis! As soon as I am in a situation where I have the space for larger dolls, I want one. I have two itty bitty AE's (a Donut and a Chocolate) who are twins, and one day I plan on having a mini doll be their mommy (and maybe eventually a daddy as well!). That will probably be eons away, but whatever!

I'd love to see some Coral spam with default makeup, if anyone has any. Blueberry and Cherry are also on my possible list, but like I said, it'll likely be a year or two before I can get a doll as big as a mini - my roommate thinks dolls are creepy, and has a hard enough time with my teenie weenies! If any one has any of the AE tinies (either 1/6 or 1/12) as well as a mini, I'd love to see pictures of them together as well!

These dolls are so cute! I was wondering how the posing is with them. Do you have to do alot of modding?

 

I have the newest girl body and it poses very well! I did hot glue suede her to help her hold them a bit better, but she's really a very good poser IMO. I've been thinking about doing a video body review since there aren't any out there. Would you be interested in seeing something like that?

Okay! I'll try to get it done within the next couple of weeks. I'm moving to a new apartment soon, but I should have time to get it done before then. I honestly love the AE mini girl body, and I don't think there's enough information out about it!

 

They are very pretty dolls. and your right there isnt much about them out there. it makes it really hard to decide what doll company to choose from. Im stuck between AE Coral and Resinsoul Ju. It will be my first doll. And i want something good quality that wont break the bank. And plus Im in love with both of those sculpts. Im so indecisive lol!

 

Haha I understand completely! I was really nervous about buying my girl because there were hardly any owner photos or anything like that. But if you do end up going with AE, I don't think you'll regret it. I'm quite impressed with their quality.

I got one body + 2 heads and I should say I failed searching for good clothes for them *casual looking* so I didn't try to play with them much.

But now, lately .. I've been getting more connected to them and I actually had Melanie on my desk in cabinet for like 4 months. I would return home from work, open the cabinet cover and see her sitting inside beside my books ..

I should say I plan to order new eyes for both of these girls . I think 14 mm should suit them well, and I am thinking of Mako eyes .. I never tried them but urethane and gradation is lovely, I guess.

 

Oooh! I can highly recommend Mako eyes. i have two pairs for two of my girls and they are completely gorgeous. Really lifelike!

 

Why thank you When it comes to taking dolls outside, I find people usually ask me what I'm doing and sometimes ask about the dolls, but luckily no one has yet to try and touch my doll without my permission. As for yellowing, if you just take them out for pictures and then put them away, they're usually fine. If I'm out with a group of dolls, I'll take pictures of one while the others are still in their bag and then rotate so that the ones that I'm not currently taking photos of are always covered from the sun...plus I live in Newfoundland. It's usually fairly overcast here

 

Hi, I'm new to this thread and was wondering about the AE bodies for both look and poseability. I'm thinking about getting a girl for my reshelled/recreated OC Aria. Are the bodies more pear-shaped? Thank you.

 

For the record, I'm also a big fan of Makoeyes! They're gorgeous.

Things have been a little more active in here... yay. I haven't been able to check recently because I've been busy moving... but my girl is finally out of her box again and on display where I can enjoy her again, so I'm pleased, lol.

I've had some pretty positive experiences taking my dolls outside. For the most part, people ignore me, but I have had a few people ask questions. I even took my girl's wig and head cap off for one group of people whose daughter was interested in my doll so they could see how some of the customization works. ^^ No one has ever tried to touch them or anything like that, though. Just remember that even though some people might ask questions, you're not obligated to answer them. You can politely tell them you're busy or you have to go and you can't talk.

I'm not sure I would call the AE bodies "pear shaped"... but they do have a rather large bottom. All in all, though, I think they're fairly balanced.

I really need to do that body review... need to find the time. I'm working on it!!

 

That review would really be helpful, ChronicallySpaced. I'm down to two choices for Aria now, and hopefully, I can get this reshell finished soon.

I heard from people that real photos of the eyes are not like the ones online. I hope this only mean they are prettier !

I ordered their eyes in 14 mm and mako eyes told me that the eyes will finish in 10 - 14 days so I hope they will be hear soon so I can show them ..
I also hope those 14mm are not big !

 

I should finally be able to pay off my girl this week, I'm so excited to finally get my Blueberry home. Still not sure exactly what to name her yet, but I'm sure it will come to me.

 

Thesize should be fine! Both my YO Lily and my MSD Evelyn wear them, they are certainly not big. And yes, they do look prettier in reality!!

 

I guess I should order a pair of Makoeyes if the reviews are this good. Question--does anyone have a Cordelia Jr-Sleeping or Yara Romantic Eyes for some spam? I haven't seen many of either of these two beauties. I would get a Pear, but she's not right for my character.

 

I wish I had a Cordelia Jr or Yara to help you (my mother has a Yara, but she doesn't have Romantic Eyes).

I haven't played with her in a while and I was thinking of putting her away but I decided to try and just let her take her own form instead. She has no name now so suggestions are great, but she's absolutely adorable now and I adore her.

I know how that's like:P I JUST found the final look for my pear! She has now officially become my first rp character I had created, Aftiel but I do like how the color of your girl's wig matches the colors on her shirt

For both my girls, well they are on 1 body ..
But I use 7/8 wigs .. or KDF size wigs from luts
I just ordered 2 wigs for them, and we will see how they fit. I actually have 2 KDF girls, and I tried those wigs on my girls, and they look nice and fit nicely ..

 

sweetpoupee, I have a 6-7 Leeke wig on Tegan, though she's not a Blueberry. I think as long as it's a stretchy wig it will fit on to her! What companies have you tried on her? Blueberry's head is 17.2 or something, right? 6-7 should fit on her then.

Thank you for your help. I've tried Leekeworld 7/8 wig and its too big, then I tried an LW wigs and they were too small (but it might be the styles I tried). Right now I am looking at a Monique or Nine9 style wig.

Hello! I am more of a lurker than poster but I wanted to show my Cordelia Jr. that I recently purchased from Mint on Card. I had been looking for pictures of her when I noticed that MOC will send you a photo of the face up of any doll they have in stock. I instantly fell in love! I have since changed her to smaller eyes but here she is soon after she arrived:



For the moment her name is Elsbet. She sometimes has a sad kind of "I just lost my puppy" look that makes me want to carry her with me everywhere.

 

This is Yue my Yara Jr. she was one of the last ones made. I hope to get her a body some time soon.

Daeriel: Thank you! The outfit is borrowed from my Dollzone Nina; it fits pretty well but the sleeves are too long, they cover her hands. I plan to make Elsbet her own dress next.

CosmosPrincess: Your Yara Jr. is really pretty! I have a Yara Jr. head too. I think mine is one of the older ones, she is on the old two part body. She is currently undergoing a new face-up. I hope your Yue gets her own body soon.
