Hello!-- I'm surprised that these big(63cm) ladies haven't made the list yet.... Souldoll Zenith Shiva and Agnetha. Both seem very Asian in appearance to me. Here's a pic of my Shiva...

 

Hmm Souldoll Double boys. There are three of them who look Asian. These boys definitely cannot be mistaken for European if you ask me. Tae, Kanguk and Chiru.

This thread might also be of help possibly? Asian Looking Girls You could always find the head and put it on a male body if there happens to be a sculpt you like. Hope that helps!

I spent a long time searching for dolls that could pass for my Japanese/American boy and the Souldoll boys turned out to be perfect. It was hard to choose between them, but eventually I did. I think they are perfect for the kind of look you are going for. I couldn't really find much else, apart from the gorgeous Bichun who is of course waaaaaaay too big for my skinny boy. XD And not right anyway, even if he is gorgeous. lol And of course Asa who is a great love of mine, but just not right at all.

There's probably more, but I can't think off hand. I'll have to go through my huge BJD site list... And that could take a while. lol

 

I think the Souldoll Double boys are pretty feminine with the proper faceup^^ I've also seen a beautiful Oasisdoll Yaoyue modded into a boy - he looked adorable.

But back when I only had male bodies and short wigs, I had to realize that she'd actually look pretty sweet as a young, feminine boy:


(though she could have done with a more masculine faceup, especially in the eyebrow department )

I think my Masao fits the bill? He is an onnagata (no white face 'cause he's sharing a body at the moment)

 

Yes, it's a Luts Senior Delf v.3 male body. Skintone didn't match at all (Oasisdoll heads are quite pink), and I think a male body with 9cm neck circumference would be the best (SDF necks are 10cm and it was showing in certain angles)

This is a really lovely thread. Here's my Soom Sphaler, he's definitely Asian although he can also be European with the right wig and lighting condition. He's on white skin.

That somehow reminds me of a CP chiwoo O.o (which is a guy), but I'm probably wrong.

Lol, that's what I thought! CP dolls are pretty interchangeable tho, so I guess it wouldn't be too hard to imagine someone making him into a girl

As for Asian/Chinese looking girls, have you considered Dragondoll? Their dolls are designed to reflect their Chinese heritage, and thus, they look very asian and are beautiful! Mint on Card and Junkyspot both carry them

 

CherryBlossom, that doll you posted is a Luts Delf Woosoo, which was limited and is no longer produced (and is SD size). I believe there's one in the Marketplace right now though.

For MSD size asian looking girls next to Iplehouse, you could look at Elfdoll Yumi for instance (like Leliel on BJDcafe forum) some Minifee molds from Fairyland look asian (Woosoo again, Fairyland makes the minifee version, and there's Ryeon, Rheia and I'm sure more) and there's lots of other companies with more or less asian looking girls out there^^. I'll look around for you^^.

There are several Dollmore Kids that might work for you. Sona, Miro, Torrie and Vora are fairly obvious choices, depending on your tastes.

Migidoll has some Asian sculpts, and many of the newer Souldoll faces seem to have some Eastern features. Also, Soom's Sphaler, Angelsdoll Ivan, Asleep Eilodon Xun, all the boys from Dragondoll, a Limhwa To-L if you can find one, just to name a few.

B&G Aurora tends to look very asian. Mine is a whiteskin boy Aurora:


And pretty much every K-doll sculpt is really asian looking. I have a Karon (he's normal skin though) :

 

I absolutely say thirds on Elfdoll Wu. Love this sculpt.

 

What size of doll are you looking for? Knowing that would help people provide you with suggestions.

They're long discontinued now, and very hard to find, but the larger Dollti boys had very distinctly Asian features. My "D," Choi Ha-Neul, is supposed to be half-Korean, half-Mongolian.


The "Rosy" sculpt by Supia has very Asian features, and makes a good boy if you put her on a different body. My girl is tan skinned, but the other skintones can easily look Japanese or Korean.


Several of the Iplehouse sculpts look very Asian. YID "Ryuushin," "Asa" (SID/EID and JID), EID "Bichun," and BID "Byuri" all come to mind. Some of them were limited editions and are no longer available.

The Oceanmoon male sculpts (Hwa-Lan, Shou-Ryu, and Sa-yu Shou-Ryu) also look quite Asian. They do limited ordering periods for their heads, so while they may say they're sold out, some of them will likely come up for sale again in the future.

Quite a few of the older Hypermaniac sculpts also had Asian features, though the company no longer sells them.

Along with Elfdoll's "Wu," their "Soah," "Sooah" (discontinued), "Hazy," "Mir," and "Eun-A" sculpts have an Asian appearance. Elfdoll sells their heads separately, so if you like one of the girl faces it would not be hard to get one and find a male body that works for it.

 

o_o Hmm...I actually think that many companies out there have Asian looking dolls.Especially the companies from China....
Well if you are going to exclude them...
I would say Volks,some of their boys sculpt like Minoru and Genji do have the Asian feel o____o...

 

Iplehouse, Oasisdoll, Elfdoll, Souldoll, and Dragondoll all have some great offerings in this department, especially in the larger sizes. You might also like to try searching the term "Asian" in the thread titles in the Picture Requests section; if I recall correctly, there are at least a couple of good threads devoted to BJDs, male or female, with Asian-looking features.

I don't know about the universality of your description. I've followed Japanese films and Jpop for years and have seen full faces, thin faces, long skulls, rounded, thin lips and full. But I'm assuming you're not looking for the more typically Chinese very soft-looking "moon face".

I consider my EF Soah, Ayame, to look Japanese, and rather like an actress I've watched from 50's films:

 

I am also not convinced on the description of the "typical" Japanese face type, but Iplehouse Asa is a very striking and fine-boned oriental sculpt.

I would show you a picture of mine, but I have Westernised her and she doesn't look quite so Asian. But it is a stunningly beautiful sculpt.

My advice for your search would be to look more towards artist doll heads, rather than more popular companies. Genuine Asian features seem to be rare!

This subject has been raised before and often the responses have been bordering racist (lots of suggestions for dolls with 'squinty' eyes. ick)
