Sketch I did of Vince while doing my warmup doodling at the arts center, wearing the shirt I'm in the process of making him, and with the suggestion of a slightly different face (he needs repainting), and his default wig.

I tried sketching my other on-topic boys and it turned out badly, but I'm happy enough with Vince's sketch.

 

My coloured pencils arrived today. Haven't been drawing a lot because my tablet is broken, but once I start drawing, it's hard to stop!

Now that I've finally gotten to the point in the story where other characters are showing up: all of them are dolls (though Sage is the only one who was a doll first, the rest were bought specifically for their characters)

These are what I lovingly refer to as ''crapsketches''. They're designs of dolls I will sculpt in the future, or mod from the dolls I have now. They're not terribly artistic but they're enough of a reference to get the job done.


Drew this for some random people on TC who wanted ''homestuck'' fanart (never read it) but liked the facial structure enough to commit it to a doll. Maybe my Venitu, maybe original sculpt. Dunno yet. I don't name my dolls.


This guy's got his whole body and joint system sketched out and he's HUGE. 120cm huge.


Another concept sketch, webbed fingers, claws, and crazy horns that don't makes sense. Also catfish whiskers. Just cuz. Probably my ID Sullivan. I'm probably one of the few people that actually enjoyed the fact that you can barely tell what Sullivan looks like in his promo photos.


Another ''homestuck'' request, but I like her face enough to want to 3D it. MAYDAY NSFW exposed TATA warning.

 

This is one of the dolls that's coming in this November/December-ish. I've been drawing her for years and am finally getting her in BJD form, but here's the latest drawing. I just finished it yesterday.

Pretty sure I have drawings of all my doll characters somewhere or other, as well as a couple of cherished original characters I've been drawing for years which I didn't come up with just for dolls but am currently turning into them (and so far I'm rather pleased as how well they're matching up to their art)...I'll be back to this thread later for sure ^^

I love looking through these! I have a feeling I will be frequenting this thread. I just sketched my Zenith (LM Little Kliff) yesterday out of boredom, and actually really like how it captured his developing personality. Chances are I'll be drawing my wife's dolls next.

So, a lot of my bjd crew is based off OCs for a story I plan to work on once I have the time to do so. In the meantime, I chose to do a book cover for the series as a project for my portfolio class. This is the progress I've got done for it thus far:
