I can't believe my camera actually captured the tiny snowflakes!

 

I'm doing a catalog of BJD sketches for an art class. My prof and I agree that my most successful sketches are the ones that accentuate the doll-ish-ness of the subject. This gave me an idea for a cool thread: photos that show off the fact that your doll is a doll.

By this I mean photos with lots of exposed joints, awkward poses, detached limbs - anything that makes it obvious that this realistic figure is a doll and not a person. Sort of the opposite of those realistic photo and natural pose threads.

 

And I thought this might work, although I didn't mean to attempt an awkward posing effect...they looked like proper dolls to me in this picture, anyways ^^;




Well =A=, and this because I've had non-doll friends tell me the knees completely give it away:

I have a few photos that I consider to be more than just random portraits. Mostly I like to play with shadow and light.

 

I tend to take very artistic photographs of Yaris.
