Sculpting Armatures?

    1. Hi there!

      I've seen a lot of people talking about cores and armatures... but I'm not really sure about them. I know they're so the core of the doll is clear for elastic... But what do you use? I'm absolutely clueless about this. haha Help a newbie doing research?

    2. I've used styrofoam before, covered in film, it worked well but I didn't like working with it because it made a mess. Honestly from my own experience anything works as long as it's reasonably smooth and can be retired easily (drinking straws for arms and legs, etc)

    3. just saw this video yesterday. you would make a mold of the shape you want the core to be (let's say a wooden bead for the head), fill that mold with candle wax, then melt the wax out when you're ready to hollow out the head. the wax could be re-used (unless you follow the methods from the maker in the video
