are there dolls you would like but probably won't buy?

I have a list of dolls I like but would most certianly never buy as long as my arm ...
Uhm, Dollshe Hound, Unoa Sist, SD10 Magical Michael, Yo-SD Rengumaru, Soo Dark Human, Delf Sleeping Yder, Elf Shiwoo, MSD Ken ...

 

The doll I love the most, and probably will never buy is Bermann. Mostly because I just know I won't be lucky enough to get into a Tensiya LE pre-order, and I already have Hound, who in many ways I like even better than Bermann.

There is just something about Bermann that keeps tugging on my heartstrings though.

I also love Soah, but don't imagine I'll wind up buying her. I really DO have enough BJD (and other dolls in general).

Tragic, isn't it? Shall & Lahoo are amazing ... Rosee Asha's ears (esp the mermaid ones) are adorable ... & that's just in the last month alone. Now if I won the lottery (which I won't, because buying lottery tickets would take away from my doll fund) & had a huge house, I'd be dangerous.

there are sooooo many dolls I really like, but never see myself owning, for the simple reason my family will be complete when I have my second doll ^^ I would love a girl doll(*adores Cindy*), or a Hound(or Bermann ^___^), or an androgynous doll, or a tiny..(Naripon )..but..I don't know, I only need two dolls, that's enough. Those two boys belong together, only together, without others..they have no need for others, and so I don't need any other dolls either.

So, I enjoy looking at the dolls in the gallery ^_^

I think her name is Belladonna? I know that Ashbet has her, the really pretty pale vampire-girl? I think that she's very beautiful, but her wide-open eyes kind of scare me a little!

 

I really love DOT Lahoo... but I want to try to hold off on getting a second doll for now, because I'm not entirely convinced I *need* two...

 

The large Narin boy looks stunningly beautiful but I don't have any plans to buy him. I have one boy BJD and that's enough for me, I don't have enough of an interest in making boy's things to buy another.

 

^_^ I really like Bermann, but I don't think I'll ever own one, just cause I feel like I have too many dolls and he wouldnt fit in as well with my others.

Oh I would love to buy any of those tiny angels from volk's with thier cute little wings!!! I probably will never ever find one, and if I do it will probably cost more than I could ever afford.

I'm positive I've forgotten some.

I notice a lot of this list except the Volks dolls consists of minis and tinies. Probably because I seem to mostly be a 60cm person...

 

Iplehouse's Soo Ri, he's gorgeous but just wouldn't fit in with the family I have planned right now.

 

There are loads of dolls i like but i'll never buy. The main reason is money. There are some limiteds i like, but i know i can't afford them. Even non-limited dolls that i like are most likely too expensive for me. The second reason is space. Even if i had the money, i wouldn't buy every doll i wanted, because they take up space. These are large dolls! The third reason is time. I want to be able to sew lots of things for my dolls and for them all to have distinct personalities. If i have too many dolls, then I won't have the time to devote to them all. The last reason is planning. I have a certian family size i want to stick too. I can deviate from it a bit, but honestly, i want a girl and a boy "adult mini (unoa, narin, sdc, minifee)" sized dolls, a girl and a boy "SD sized" dolls. That's a good, managable sized family to me.

School Head C girl. *__* I love her, but I am about to make a huge doll purchase and probably won't be able to afford another expensive doll for a long time.. maybe never..

And Sch C is going to be pricey, not even including the body. ^^;

 

Same with me, Bermann is one of my favorites but I don't think I'll ever get one because I'm starting to feel like I have enough dolls (including the 2 I'm saving for) and I keep thinking he would look out of place with everyone else.

Another doll I really like are Unoa's, but I doubt I'll get one anytime soon if ever. Mainly because like I said I'm starting to feel like I have enough dolls and although I like them they aren't dolls that I feel like I "must have".

Heath's the only Volks doll (well, the only non-customised one anyway, there are many SDs out there that I'd happily kidnap!) I've ever really thought "Ooooh preeety!" over but I don't think I'll ever get one since I'd just gawk at him constantly.

 

Oh, yes, lots. There are so many lovely dolls out there, most of which I wouldn't mind having! But as I've learned from my current dolls, owning a doll involves so much more than just buying the dolls - wigs and outfits and shoes and storage space for everything and time to get to know them - and I realized there just isn't enough time to do that for every doll I find attractive. Sometimes I wish I had infinite time and resources!

My mom really likes Hound. (she saw him in Singapore) and always asks "Is that Hound!?" When a doll of any sort appears on the screen. I'm trying to convince her to get him for himself. xP Then I would have an excuse to have Sir Hotness skulk about the house. XD

I think a doll I LOVE but would probably not get is a Lishe... They're so beautiful, and have such elegant faces, but I when I look at them, I see "Lishe" - I can't think of them in any character of mine. Same with El. Love his sculpt to peices- in fact, Elf El was my first head-over-heels BJD love. I still feel my heart flutter when I see one FS in the Marketplace. But alas, what would I do with him? Heeehee....

 

Hmm.... El and Kun are at the top of that list... And Berman, too, now that I think about...

Like many here, I don't think larger dolls would fit well with my MSD sized dolls... However, I had the opportunity to see an El at a dollmeet not too long ago, and he is absolutely gorgeous.

 

SD Shiratori, SD13 Sweet Dreams Lucas, SD Nono, SD 4 sisters, CP Delf Shiwoo, CP Delf El, K-doll Kayan, Peakswood Yulli -> I like the look of them very much, but they are just the wrong size for me. I stick strictly to minis: although I might dabble in tinies one day, the chances that I will ever buy anything taller than ~50cm are slim in the extreme.

 

I just discovered DOD's 'Camine' and 'Lahoo' Dream Teen dolls. Wowsers! But alas, I've planned my family to three so I wouldn't go for them.

 

There are some dolls I would love to own, but probably never will because they are so expensive. I would buy Tsukasa and Yo-Tenshi Yuki in a heartbeat if they were in the price range of, say, Heath and Yo-SD Suzuna, but as it is I just can't imagine shelling out that much money for them!

I also adore Pocket Fairies, but they're just too pricey for their size, even compared to similar sized dolls.

I was gonna get one to take on one of my characters whose name is Kaz, but then I realized that if I get the doll I'd already picked out to be his girlfirend...he would be a LOT taller than her.....I know it doesn't matter to some people, but it matters to me....
Now I'm thinking I might not get him....and there are plenty of other dolls I want, but can't have, because I am a high school student with limited funds and parents who don't believe in giving Dollfies as gifts.....

 

Narae I would love, but I don't see myself owning her, this is the same with the k-doll heads. I like them but I don't like them enough. Also f-16 and f-28... they just wouldn't fit in my family anyway.

I WILL get a Bermann. It seems impossible, I know, but it WILL happen dammit!

 

A friend and I were looking over my wishlist last night. It's a rather long list, and I already have many dolls. At this point, everytime I bring home another doll, I have more and more difficultly getting them to "fit" the rest of the group. I just brought home two dolls and a head, none of them fit in at all!

 

There are a bunch of dolls I'd get if I was rich, but there are some dolls I "need" and those are the ones I actually get

 

Hound. Especially the tan kind. I love everything about them, and saving up to buy one won't be a problem. But as mentioned before, I feel he will need companions, and that will be too much for me.
I don't know, really. I might get him someday...

 

I don't find hound size a problem ^^ He is tall... but I like tall guys *___* - A LOT XD

 

See...I don't mind tall guys in real life...but I'm afraid he'll look out of proportion next to the others..
Plus the one thats supposed to be his younger brother is an MSD and so he'll be A LOT shorter than him, but he's not actually that much younger than him....
Then there's the problem that Hounds can look really girly if you stick them in certain wigs or outfits and Kaz if purely a manly man...

 

Right after Juniper came home, Soony came out. I was really conflicted about it. If for some reason I hadn't gotten Juniper before Soony came out, things would've turned out differently, but I didn't want two 60cms and I loved Juniper too much to get rid of her.

For the longest time Ttori has been my absolute favorite headmold ever. At the time I started liking her, the kid delfs as a whole (including ttori) weren't very popular and I had never seen many Ttoris, much less a girl. Now Ttori eventually got more popular and at this point I'd say that he/she is the most popular kid delf. A few girl Ttories showed up while I was saving, but none of them had the likeless of the girl I was saving for until a particular girl Ttori came along. Mandiiv's Purin fit almost exactly what I wanted a Ttori for, and even came up with the perfect name for her. It was like the Ttori I wanted had picked someone else to live with. I was kind of dissapointed, actually, like she let me down. But I didn't feel as if I needed her after that.. it was if she didn't need me anymore. XD

Now if for some reason Purin showed up on the secondhand market, I'd buy her in a heartbeat, but for now I feel that she and I are content where she is. ^_^

Ksy.. I love Ksy a lot, but not only do I not want another 60cm, but she is so hard to find. Aya is another 60vm that I adore. I came so close to buying Aya on one occasion, I would have named her Lotus.

 

I love Soah and PF Yoko...but I really doubt I would ever buy them. I'm just not as interested in Girl dolls and I feel that I wouldn't play with them enough or do them justice.

They're still two of my all time favorite dolls though. ^_^

 

I can admire the bigger male dolls but cannot see myself owning one. I just like MSD-size and under the best, I guess. I once had 2 bigger girls but sold them (and I miss my Ryung terribly, esp. when I see Sher's beautiful Iliana-goddess!!). Someday I will likely have a big girl again but for now it's just the smaller kids

 

Hmm.. I like the new DOT dolls.. all three of them - but I dont see myself buying one. I love the Mini Fees.. and possibly WILL buy one.. or two.
I admire a lot of dolls from afar - but I am happy with just admiring.
I like Namu and Rain from Soom.. and the new Iplehouse boy. Love Unoas.. but they are just so expesive and hard to come by.. and LONG waits if you do get in the preoder.

I love School Head C.. and really hope to be able to get one ONE day... So he doesnt count

 

There are some dolls I just see and go "Wow I'd love to own her/him, if only I had a back story to go with them..." I don't really judge on price. More like, once you know you have to have them, it's worth the pain of saving up for each one!

 

I love L-bi and Lusis, but I will most likely never by either of them.

 

There are quite a few dolls I like, but I won't buy them until my money-making schemes start paying off!

I think that there are a lot of dolls I like but won't buy and for many reasons. One such reason is an inability to portray a doll exactly like the doll that you like. (Example being, even if I ever got a Tsukasa Konoe, I'll never be able to make him ... Uno of Mistula.) Another reason is that some dolls, no matter how much I like them, may not fit into the family of dolls I already have, or that I'm planning for. Sometimes, it's because of the body joints. XD; Other times, it's due to the ridiculous prices. ^_^

I collect pictures of this boy. I follow posts of all the Hounds like the addict I am. . . and yet. . . in the end it might be grabby hands but not a grabby heart. Maybe someday if there is another spurt of "I'm selling my Hound!" then I'll adopt a lonely one. But no buying new. Just not happening.

I just go crazy when I see tan dolls. Pretty. But I never plan well enough to have money for them set aside. I don't want to wait for tan molds of dolls I like, so I just admire from afar.

There are mods I would want to do on her. But if I had her then I would need another doll to compliment her since she is part of a pair and I am not travelling down that road again. That's how I ended up with like four more dolls than I should have in the first place.

Tanned Hound - because I can't picture myself owning two Hounds, even if they have different face-ups, skin tones, eyes, styles and wigs. Too much friction, I don't think Chulyen would like it at all. He might be okay with a Bermann, but I can't see myself getting lucky enough to snap one up on Tensiya.

Kohya, Heath and Isao also are going to be admired strictly from afar. That's just the way it goes sometimes, and I'm okay with it.^.^ But if I ever win the lottery, watch out! All bets will be off then!

 

I love B-el, but I think he would look odd with the other dolls I own. I also really like Paris and Volks' F-17 SD-13 boy head.

I really want to keep from getting too many dolls so I can always enjoy them and most of them fit in a particular storyline so.. *shrugs*

I'm glad so many other people on DOA do own dolls I don't so I can admire them.

 

El, I love El I just..don't have a place for him? And all of the new DOT dolls. I'd Love a Tan Shall....actually If I ever get a girl doll, it will be a Shall.

I think the School Head C has found its way into my wishlist somehow, but Im not certian I'd ever own him either.

 

I absolutely adore B-el. I love his naughty smirk and I want the optional penis parts so bad! But I don't think I'll ever be lucky enough to own him, or it will be years before I do. I'm hoping that someone here who owns him will ahhh utilize his optional bits to their fullest and share though ^_~

The first doll I saw and loved in person was Shirou Tachibana, but due to money constraints and wanting a default fullset, I've never seen a repaint on him that I really liked, I doubt I'll get him.

 

Being sixteen and unemployed, money is pretty rare. I love sooo many dolls, but I know most of them are out of reach. Tsukasa, Heath and Jun are all dolls I'd love to own but probably won't ever be able to afford. I'd love a Volks F-05, Dollkot Kiss, and Kawainino Ando head. I'd love to get my hands on one of Customhouse's letdie02s but I have no clue how to find one. x_x

 

Oh, many, many, lots!

Some because they're so expensive, like a Madoka boy, or the limiteds with outfits at Souldoll or Custom House.

Some because they're the wrong size - I'd love to get Hoo, Jerome, and a bunch of other minis, but I want all my boys to be able to pose together, and they just look wrong together, because of the scale. So I'm sticking to fullsizes (except for characters who are meant to be children).

Some because they don't have the right sort of faces - the boys I have are kinda halfway between realistic and anime-ish. A doll with a realistic sculpt (like a Narin boy) would look odd next to them, and so would a really anime-style doll (like a Rasendo).

And others because I just don't have the room ^_^;

But if I had enough money to not care about the first or last points, then I'd certainly have a lot more dolls than I do now *grins*

I used to be a SD fan since that was the only thing in the market... Nowadays... I'm a MSD fan with a weird, weird fascination/inclination towards Isao Nanjou and Soo ri. I'm likely to get Soo Ri but AFTER I complete my MSD family. I have no idea when I'll be able to complete them since I can be so damn indecisive.

For the sake of whims and all CP BW/Normal DELF El and Dollshe Hound - White were both impossible dreams of mine. I had the idea of customizing them to look like someone from a manga I'm a fan of (Anybody here familiar with Yamane Ayano's You're my Loveprize in my Viewfinder?) and he would be a constant cosplayer and such... Then I realized how whimsical it was to like both since now that I think about it...They have qualities I wish were in one doll. Not two. Then I met Soo Ri...

One doll I've been thinking about lately is Kiss from Dolkot. I think he's gorgeous, but he just doesn't seem to fit into my future. Though I think that could change if I grew more attached to him. I also love Bermanns but I'm not sure I'll ever get my hands on one. Oh! And also, DOC U. So many people have gorgeous ones but I just can't see owning him myself.

 

Volks F-16/28 FCS or whatever number he is going by nowadays ^_~ I'd love to have one, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford FCS any time soon, and I've already got 3 boys, 4 would be crazy!
