Rowan Thank you very much for the website. It's thoroughly documented, well organized and easy to understand. And the most important it's legal. Arcadia's business practices are unlawful. How the sisters divided the chores between themselves are irrelevant. They both have responsibility towards their customers. The Professor entered into this on his own and volunteered plenty of information again from his own will. Put his name on the letterhead under Arcadia and that makes him an accomplice. This business is operating on a large scale worldwide. We are talking about thousands of dollars merchandise. At this point the best solution for this business is to refund the customers even if they have to take up a loan. Unless the professor will learn how to sew there is no guarantee that these orders will be fulfilled this year. Or flawed merchandise will be exchanged. The customers have rights. This is a business transaction. And this business didn't honor their end of the contract. I hope Rowan that your hard work and dedication will pay off. You helped every customer!! And I have the right to decline any further comment!

I forgot one thing! Why is it relevant how the professor's house looks like? That is part of gathering information to support the credability of your words when you argue your case in the court of law.
Okay...I just read through all seven pages of this thread. First, I did see their thread here, on DOA, and then went to their site. I placed my order on 5 June 2010 in the amount of €92.00 for Order No: 100605-141050-6897... Outfit AC014 (Fabric - Bodice - FAC10, Fabric - Skirt - FAC35, Size - Rainy Elfdoll) I really would like my outfit and would appreciate to receive some status on it. I understand they are going through some sort of troubles and I can be patient, but I'm hoping to receive the outfit soon as it's possible for them to make it. I'll keep tabs on this thread.
I agree. Also, is the full names of his ex wives, who are not involved in this situation at all, really needed? You haven't even included your own first name, but you've included personal information about them. I feel like these things could be causing your case more harm than good.
Update: I received a very nice email from Licanen, giving me status on my order. I really appreciated it and feel more at ease in waiting.
I never had to wait so long just to have some clothes! I made payment and order on March and it's been 7 month -.-; I just have need to get my money back. This is just one huge disappointment and empty promises from Arcadia company.
Received an e-mail from Licanen as well saying she's working on my order and it'll be posted on friday so am hopeful this will end well.
UPDATE:::: Order status FINISHED I got my fashion in the mail today it was the correct size and color no email .it just showed up .... I ordered on Feb 6th 2010 .. I hope there is resolution for the rest on this list

Just wanna give an update regarding my February order: After all these months of no communication, I finally received an email from Licanen on Wednesday stating that part of my order will be ready to be shipped next Monday!! Also that she expects to complete the rest of my order by mid-October and she'd keep me posted. That was a really nice surprise!! Tho I've no way of knowing exactly which items will be in this 1st shipment, since there isn't any status update on individual items on my "Order History" page on their website. *big sigh of relief* There's hope yet!! ^o^ Will also post again when the package arrives.

Hooray, I'm glad to see that people are starting to receive their orders. I also got an email from Licanen the other day, stating that my order should be ready to ship by Monday. Hopefully I'll get a tracking number and receive my items soon as well. Thank you for keeping the order list organized, Rowan, it's been very helpful having someone track which orders are received/still pending. I'm sincerely glad to see that Arcadia Dolls is still attempting to complete and send out orders, that they're trying to make things right with their customers. rowan~ My package was shipped within the US. I bought my items during the free shipping event, so I didn't pay shipping. The package return address was from Spain, unfortunately, I already disposed of the box, and I don't remember what it was. Sorry!
It seems that the dress I bought in the beggining of the year is finally coming. My Yumi will be very happy with her new outfit. During the waiting process, Arcadia Dolls was always polite and answered all my emails.

Yays, my package has promptly arrived today!! The "Twilight Garden" dresses that I bought are in the correct size and are beautifully made, so my dolls and I are very happy with the product. ^^ Now to wait for the remainder of my order! Regarding the improving communication with Arcadia Dolls: - After my last post saying I didn't know how my order was being split, Licanen immediately sent me an email detailing which items were going to be included in each shipment. That was nice. - A tracking number was provided for me this Monday. - And it was shipped from within the US, even though the return address is in Spain. Like Anya'sMom, I also placed my order during the free shipping event, so I didn't have to pay for shipping. If it's indeed mail fraud like rowan said, perhaps Arcadia Dolls should be advised to change their address labels and shipping rates policies. :S

Recieved first part of my order today. Two items out of three are in wrong size, but when I wrote Licanen about it, she answered REALLY fast, like, 15 minutes later, and said that she's really sorry, and she'll do her best to make those items in right size asap and ship it with my pending outfit. As for items in wrong size, she said I can keep them as their apology. It was REALLY nice of her, because those items (dress and pettycoat) are beautiful and well done, just as the shirt that arrived in right size. So, by now, I am softening to arcadia, because it seems Licanen is really doing her best to complete our orders as fast as possible and leave us satisfied.
I am very frustrated. I bought one in oufit in May, has not arrived. Arcadia sent me an email on september 24th saying it had be sent. It was a very expensive clothe to not receive a tracking number, hope it arrives this week, is my deadline to waiting.Ouvir Ler foneticamente

Can I ask a question? (it may be a little OT) I want to purchase from Arcadia when they come back (if they do), and thought that I would register an account whilst waiting, but I can't seem to do so. Is this because of the store being closed or should I just try on someone elses computer?
Yay! I received my two orders, and Im very pleased with the outfits. This issue is closed for me now. Im heartily sorry that Arcadia Doll ran into such difficulties, and that there were so many delays for everyone; but Licanen seems to have gotten herself back on track and is sending out her orders. I wish everyone good luck with the receipt of their outfits. I know this has been a trying experience for many of us, but I have no doubt that if and when Licanen opens Arcadia Dolls again, if there is an outfit I love, I will order from her again.
I received my two SD outfits today. They were posted from the US. They are OK. I wish I could say I was thrilled but maybe the nearly 8 month wait has just soured the whole deal for me. The outfits are well made. To be honest for the price I would have expected overlocking on all raw edges on the inside of the garments and they are not all overlocked (the T-shirts are made form a thin stretch cotton so maybe it can't be overlocked). A few of the seams could have been neater. Other than that the jackets are beautifully made and have lining in the torso part (not the sleeves). I wish the pants had been lined as well. I have always loved Arcadia photos and the look of the clothes in them but the whole experience has been negative and I don't know if I ever want to buy from them again. I hope they get through their troubles though and wish them all the best.
I just forgot to say a couple of things about my order. The outfits I got are a bit different than what is pictured - the sleeve length on the jackets are not 3/4 like pictures but full length. Also I was told by Arcadia in an email "You will receive a gift of thanks for waiting" and there was nothing. No big deal but it would have been nice. Anyhoo that's the end of my wait and order. I ordered on the 30th of April and after several emails back and forth on the 29th of Sept Licanen emailed that my order would be sent out the 3rd week of november. I ordered a complete Lolita type outfit with Blouse-Skirt-Petticoat-Pantelettes-Stockings-headdress. I really really really want this outfit so although I've been nervous about the wait as long as they communicated with me (touch and go there for a few weeks) I was willing to wait. Now I'm excited and waiting to see my long longed for outfit. Will update after I've received it.
My order is finally fullfilled now! Received my pending outfit and dress&petticoat in right size yesterday. Items are very well made and lovely. I am satisfied with them, and happy that this transaction is finally complete. I am not sure if I'll ever deal with Arcadia Dolls again, but I might, someday. I bought from Arcadia on 2 separate times and originally had great communication with them. This time, not so much. I've been waiting on 2 outfits (multiple pieces) since April 12, 2010. I must say that I'm not impressed that they've had time to make some outfits for ebay (june 25), design some new outfits (june 5), etc ... while people are waiting on orders. Plus they had a sale in June. Also, this time, I am finding that they're very slow to communicate back and I'm not getting email replies. I actually had to pm them. I guess I'll wait and see, like everyone else ...
Well, I finally received my April 30th order this week. The outfit was well made and I really really wanted it so although I didn't appreciate the long wait I am Happy to finally get it. Would I order from them again? If it was something already in stock I would...... If it was something to be custom made I'm just not sure. Anyway good luck to everyone still waiting.
Just an update on my order...I got it yesterday and it fits my Elfdoll Soah perfectly and the quality is great. I think I ordered it in July or August...and though the wait was long, I was greatly relieved when I did get the communication about it when I entered this thread. I'm glad it's here now and my girl can enjoy it. Good luck to those still waiting.

I am still waiting. I got a message in September saying my order (for three outfits) was scheduled to be done at the end of November. I haven't received anything so far. I just e-mailed to check on it.
Yeah this is just great. If Id now that it would be taking so long to just have some clothes I wouldn't bother my self buy. I mailed to AD month ago asking if I can a) have my stuff b) ore get my money back. The replay was answered rude way and didn't had any concrete info when my stuff would be done. And AD didn't see giving back my money as an other option.
Efoto, same here. If I only knew... AD is not a serious business. The clothes may be pretty, but there are many other companies that also sell amazing stuff and that know how to treat their clients. We do not need to put up with their rudeness and lack of effectiveness. Never again!

As far as I know, they closed in order to catch up with all the orders... CH did something similar after receiving lots of complaints about important order delays with dolls.
Well it has been a year sins I made the order. AD e-mailed my last time on Christmas and they promised my to send the doll stuff on new year. Sins then they didn't answer my 2 new e-mails. In my last e-mail ( posted last month) I ask to return my money already. I don't see any change to have my stuff back cuz they never answered on both e-mails. So I think it's better to inform people that AD is not safe to make deals anymore.
Arcadia Doll sent my order! I ordered two outfits in May '10, then added another in June '10. In October they sent an e-mail saying they should get the order filled by November. I sent them an email around Feb.'11 asking about it. They said my order was soon to ship... and then it was sent out. Everything is here, now. Yes... 9 months is a long wait, but I was not in a hurry to begin with, and I'm glad they didn't just shut down and declare bankruptcy and not pay anyone or make clothes for anyone. I have worked for a number of companies--big, legitimate companies, that have had no problem with closing down and not paying anyone, so filling their obligations, even if it takes time, is appreciated by me. I can understand that people have been made very unhappy by this. It's an unfortunate situation all around. But by now, most of the people I've talked to have actually received their orders. I hope everything is cleared up soon.
I shouldn't be writing here again (since I'm not representing Arcadia Dolls anymore), but that's good news! For what I know, Efoto and April's orders were the last ones to be delivered. That means that everyone already received their orders or (in April's case) has it on its way. I don't want anyone reading this thread believe that orders were not sent. Efoto and April, you've been very kind and understanding. I want to thank you on behalf of my sister for your patience.
Everything arrived with no problem. I didn't mind waiting. I run a one-person business, so I know how things could go wrong. As long as I finally got what I paid for, I won't complain a lot. I'm very glad everyone got their items.
I recently had an email from Arcadia inviting me to order from their web-site. I would love to do so but am rather nervous after the previous delays. Has anyone got any advice or views?
Personally, after the way they handled the last debacle, you couldn't pay ME to go back to them now, but in the end, they did actually FINALLY get all the orders filled, so they do have some semblance of professionalism left I guess. I got the same email and was frankly STUNNED that they're even attempting doing business again after this. Certainly they have no good will from me.
My own experience with Arcadia Dolls was good. I ordered about 9 outfits with accessories from Arcadia Dolls' Circus series in April 2011. And communications with Licanen during this period to discuss ordering and selling Arcadia Circus outfits at my booth for a local BJD event (The Doll Affair 2011) went very well. I had also broached the subject of Arcadia Dolls' problems in finishing orders during our discussion and voiced my concerns to her as I did come upon this thread before ordering. And Licanen assured me that Arcadia Dolls had settled all their outstanding orders. As there was only a window of a month and half between my order and the BJD event, Licanen also assured me that she could complete and send out the outfits in time. And she kept her word, the completed outfits did arrive on time to me and were all well-made and stitched. I ordered from them on February 2 and today I sent them an email asking about my order. 6 weeks for one t-shirt, pants and socks are a bit too much (even if I'm a patient person ¬¬)
I placed an order early January and got a confirmation from them on Jan 17th.. But have not heard from them since. I wrote them beginning of March to follow up, but no responses yet.. Just sent them another email and hopefully this one will get their attention! I wish I had found this thread before I placed my order..
