I remember that someone had mentioned it a very long while back but I did a forum search and I can't seem to find the thread. Has anyone found more info on it relating to the usefulness of it for dolls? I.E. the strenght of the resin and things like yellowing and even the ability to color it? (Their website says painting specificly and nothing about pigmenting it.) I've actually found a place that sells it right in my town so if no one has done any testing yet then I think I will pick up a kit and play with it. I haven't worked with resin at all before though so I wouldn't be able to compare working with it, just the end results.
And according to their site, it is durable enough to be used outside too. From what I can teel it looks like it is ment to be painted and not pigmented but when my finals are over I'm going to head over to the store and see how much they know about that. Does anyone have ideas about how to test the durability?
I suppose for durability you could make some casts at varying thickness to see how they hold up, or put one outside for an extended period of time... Im not Quite sure what you mean by durable
Oops, sorry! By durability I mean how it will stand up to the wear and tear of being played with as well as things like yellowing and color change. Also, maybe a drop test of some sort? They have examples of and recommend the aqua resin for outside applications so I will definitely be testing those.
