Ordering April Story Faceups?

I don't think it's possible to currently because the news said English site will stop operating December 2018 and ball-jointed dolls now being sold is terminated end of November.

 

Their contracts for their dolls just ran out, yep! I have heard that this happens with Aprilstory from time to time and they'll be back with new (and some old) sculpts later, supposedly. (however, their english site is to go defunct, since they dont have anyone on their team that speaks english and can run customer support).

That said, I did just order a doll from them - i'm also curious about whether faceups are available, but in doing some of my research, i suspect that they no longer have a face-up artist due to costs? Their dolls may just have faceups for the promo photos. I'm not positive, but that may be the case.

I didn't see any options about faceups when I ordered, but if anyone's ever gotten a face-up from aprilstory i'd love to know too; since i'd love my boy to have the look he's got on their site.

(as an aside, its super funny to me to find you on doa via asking about this - i just found your youtube channel looking for reviews and box openings of the new aprilstory body before i bought my boy :> )

 

yea!! im obviously not an expert but i needed to know whether i really should buy him this year or not :'3 i elected Yes, obviously, for both the english website reasons and that he used to be a limited sculpt, from what i can tell, so he may not come back! plus i really love their current bodies

And yeah!! i couldn't believe it for a second, haha. I just ordered Liam! im soooo weak for those cheekbones. he's gonna be named Lance, he's a part of a story with a few of my other dolls

their model has a smokey faceup of the flavor that absolutely slays me, so if i can ask for it i sooo want to hahaha
