Jemima is a lovely way to start the thread!

 

We need some help!
I ordered her back in OCTOBER with both the regular head and a smiling head (face up #1) and several other items. She just arrived a bit over a week, almost 2 weeks ago.

every thing has arrived fine EXCEPT for her smiling head.
I email and message them on the Q&A about this, but the answers I've gotten for these nearly 2 weeks are in the direction of "I'll go check" but then nothing.

my order is marked "shipment completed" .

Does anyone have a better way to contact Elfdoll and get a response?

To the person the previous thread who was wondering about the fact the sculpts aren't listed as sold out.
I asked them about it and here's what they replied

Production team says we've started the ordering period delayed so we're getting orders
by end of this month.

trinlayk: "I'll go check" seems to be ED's standard answer for any kind of issues. They had sent me the wrong head at first, and I had finally reached them via the Q&A board after a few weeks. They sent me the right head then…

 

I've gotten 2, "I'll go check" answers and no "yep, they'll be on their way" or anything. I DEFINITELY paid for two heads with face ups.

waiting on a Sian head! She shipped within two days after ordering, which I'm very happy and at the same time very nervous about @_@

 

Mehh.. My order status still says Confirm receipt(Credit card) ... How long will it take untill they finally ship it ; - ; ...

 

Yay! her smiling head seems to have been mailed YESTERDAY, but they've not given me a tracking number so I'm feeling a little nervous.

Yaemaru: I ordered my Soah back in October, (face up, some clothes and other items too) and she JUST arrived a couple weeks ago.
However, check in and ask on the Q&A board for status from time to time. I was first told she'd be shipping the beginning of December, but there was
apparently some question about my order, and I didn't find out right away... and then even after answering them. there were several unexplained delays.

and then, having ordered both her regular head and a smiling head, only got one of them, and no explanation... and a need for much follow up to get a clear answer.

So while I love her just to bits... I'm not likely to order from the company again anytime soon. Not that it was a horrible experience, but that it's difficult to get clear and reliable communication.

 

trinlayk , sorry to hear that... I only ordered a vivien head in ns without face-up ...so I hope she'll be here soon ><

 

Could be a few days or could be the more standard time for dolls, a month or so. They shipped my Eun-a in three days and another head I ordered on October they shipped after a month and a half.

trinlayk, that's really unfortunate. I know they have had some problems with orders in the past but lately things seem to have been going better, but apparently not perfect yet (or as close to perfect as you can get). I really hope they'll get their customer service in shape soon because it's ridiculous how long they sometimes take to answer questions and the answers are so... bad, really.

my order has been shipped to New Zealand instead of the Netherlands. OTL

 

How did that happen? My order did go to the Netherlands (I live there too..) .. That's so strange o_O

 

According to tracking, my Soah's smiling head should be arriving tomorrow, possibly the next day! Yaaaaay!
also I want to give a shout out, and thank you to Tomoe's "dolly godfather" MVB who helped me with tightening stringing this evening.

My order shipped as well, body for our Eun-a and Sian and Yuan heads too. *___* I wasn't expecting to have them shipped this fast but I'm definitely not complaining. And simply because I can, a shot of my Emma boy, Max.

Tomoe's smiling head just arrived. WHoot! I was expecting it to include eyes (along with the face up, which is amazing) to maybe even match her serious face head. Fortunately, I found a near match in my box O' eyeballs.

ForeverVirginia, your Eun-a is so sweet! I was wondering how the Feeple 60 body would look with these girls. Looks to be a perfect fit.

 

We've been knitting, there's a sweater that might get finished tonight, in the mean time, here's her shawl.

Oh my freaking god, how is this even possible?! I just received my Elfdoll body in real skin for the real skin Eun-a head I got from the company two weeks ago and the colors don't match at all. It's not just normal patch difference, it's like the head is yellow and body is pink (in tan-ish color of course since it's real skin). I'm starting to really lose my mind with all their color switching, I hope they'll do something about this. x__x

 

Ibilintu your body is from the new batch, those are a pink tone. They also said this on their website I believe... Sucks tho.

Hopefully my Vivien head is arriving today or tomorrow.. Now I have a question, what eye size do you guys recommend for an elfdoll Vivien?

 

I know it is, but the head and body are both ordered this year, two damn weeks apart. By all means of logic they should be the same tone, but nope. I wonder what they reply to my complaint, Oka said she's forwarding my message to someone called DK :'D. Oh well. The body also lacks the stopper part inside the torso, meaning to just flops around and won't stay upright. I hope they at least send me a stopper part sometime soon.

As for your question, my Vivien wears 14mm and I've found that to be the best fit imho. 16 goes if you like larger eyes, 12mm is a bit too small for my taste.

Hello everyone! I am new here, and interestingly enough also have an Elfdoll Vivien on Miro Doll body! Her name is Naomi.
I had been lurking the thread before this one and you all inspired me to try Elfdoll.. their faces are so pretty, and I like that they can be boys or girls. I had to control myself and only get this one.

Oh, lovely new pictures to look at &#8230; Thank you all for sharing your girls! It's amazing how versatile the Elfdoll girls are. They can look so very innocent and sweet and also so mature. And even without a face-up they are gorgeous. Love all of their styles!

Let me join the thread I'm in love with Elfdoll girls (oh, and boys), they're so realistic, almost alive.

Shariss, she's cool! i think she's the first ED girl I've ever seen with hair like that. Love her look!

 

Thanks, Evie! Her eyes are a greyish brown, they're the defaults that came with my IH Eva. They're actually a size smaller than Yuan is supposed to take (12 instead of 14), but the gaps are hardly noticeable and even though I had planned blue or green eyes for her I'm beginning to really like these. (The wig I want for her is a slightly darker blonde, Elfdoll's RDW-13 )

Hey everyone! I have a question, and I am sorry if it has been asked before, but:

Has Elfdoll changed the color of their Normal Skin at all over the last 5 years? I have a 2008 Hazy and I want her to body share with a 2010 Vivien. I'm almost completely sure it'll be fine, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks!

 

There has been a lot of discussion about this in the last thread I think? Anyway, yes, they have, and very atrociously so. Elfdoll's skintones have gone from yellow-ish tone to bright pink, so color matching is always a bit hazardous. They are both old-ish batch so the color difference might not be that bad, I have (I think) 2009/2010 Vivien and about a year or two older Emma (both are second hand so I don't know the exact batch) and they have some color difference with the older being more yellow naturally, but it's not that bad. The new heads are completely different color though compared to older ones. Here is a link for Elfdoll skin comparison I took a while ago. Hope this helps! &#9829;

 

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. I'll just head over there and research the thread. I'm shocked at how much it has changed, but I think 2008 and 2010 might work with the right face up.

 

Hello! I hope this hasn't been asked before, I searched the old thread but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know if Elfdoll Emma would fit on a Spiritdoll Elegance boy body? I know the resin match would probably be ok but I am worried about the proportions.

Also out of curiosity, what bodies do your Emma boys have?

Wow, no more order periods?! That is the best dollie news I've heard this year. Seeing as how I love the Eun-a and the Emma sculpts it might be rough on my wallet, though.
I gave my Vivien (hybrid on a AOD body) a quick faceup yesterday, now all she needs is for her wig to arrive... and to get a name. ^^'

I'd love to buy a June head for my Ariadoll body, but I'd like it in the Snow Skin and I don't know how the Elfdoll ordering system works. Do they often release the heads in snow skin? Or is it once a year thing?

 

You can pick the colour on the ordering page, right underneath the "faceup" option.

 

If Normal Skin is the only option does it mean they're out of the Snow Skin for now?

o.O apparently! I checked a random head (Eun-A, I think) and it was available in all colours, but quite a few of them seem to only be available in certain colours ... I'd drop them a line in the Q&A if I were you, maybe they're only listing the in-stock heads.

 

LOL, it's okay. I've only been checking the June head listing, so I never thought to check the others. I'll go write a question to them then
