AOD seller renaissancefashion?? (resolved!)

Blimey! Can you be sure the email came from AoD?
I just checked out the iffy sellers eBay feedback and it seems they send out any items that they have sold.
Did you buy from this seller or from the legit AOD eBay seller?
I would just wait and see what happens....why would Alan ask you to pass the message on when he has an agent who is a member here? Just wondering as it all sounds very confusing.
Does this mean there will be further problems/delays for people who are still waiting for their AoD dolls?

 

I don't think there will be delays for the members who buy it directly from the AOD site.
The issue is probably that he is breaking the rules of his contract (as some are very clear that you can be an agent but there is no selling stuff on ebay).
Also he uses the official pictures of AOD (bad quality pictures tbh) instead of showing them how they look

I think you may have to mention (to keep thing legal) that he has, as yet, not defrauded money out of anyone to clarify things and to keep things fair.
As far as i can see the seller is selling on AoD dolls which obviously is misleading people into thinking that he may be an agent for AoD but, they have'nt ripped anyone off yet.
A bit underhand no doubt but until they have actually defrauded anyone out of their money.....better to reword the statement maybe? Don't want to get DoA in any trouble do we.

 

It seems they did ripoff AoD. So AoD can call it fraud.

But AoD are'nt 100% sure yet so i'm playing devils advocate here in case DoA gets into trouble for having spurious comments posted.

True, this is something between the ebay seller and AoD.

 

I think 'fraud' was the wrong word. The Ebay seller broke her/his terms as a dealer by selling on Ebay, so what AoD should say is that she/he is no longer an official dealer, rather than that they are a fraud.

 

Or it's someone who bought the dolls just in the hope of making a profit on Ebay. It happens all the time. But there are people who use pictures of dolls and don't sell any dolls. Some even have accomplices who leave good feedback on "transactions" to make them look legit.

I'm not saying this is the case here. But AOD lifted a flag because it's concerned... and frankly is that all bad that a company wants to make sure his clients don't get swindled?

 

To Katasha, I would keep an eye on your paypal file date, but I wouldn't worry yet. This sounds like an internal AOD matter. If I am reading this correctly, they say people who ordered may not get their dolls because they won't ship merchandise to the seller (to fulfill those orders) once they find out who it is. But if they're selling stock on hand, that won't affect you. If they're not, given the time they've been on eBay (over 4 years) and their feedback, I think it's more like that you'll be given a refund than that you'll be out your money.
Just keep an eye on it.

 

They are selling the dolls at the same BIN price as AoD, maybe they are agents...who knows...

Gah.. that scared the crap outta me. I just placed an order for an AOD Mini body last night.. Thankfully I ordered from the sky18482310521 seller and the person responded quickly to my qustion about shipping with the name Allen. *big sigh of releif* Ok.. Yeah, thats kinda sketchy that they don't know if they have a auth dealer or not though.. But yeah I'll add in with the keep an eye on your PP date and maybe email the seller asking for an estimated shipping date and tracking number?

I have to state clearly here, he is only an agent, who even hasn't signed a
contract with AOD company. He has the right to sell on ebay and so do I.

I am another AOD seller on ebay! The only difference between us is he began to sell earlier than I. What I am doing have all been authorized by AOD company!

I do like fair competition, but sky18482310521 does not!!! He pretended to be the general manager of AOD( the true manager is Mr. Sun, of course not Alan), wrote to every of my customers, asking them to buy from him. What he is doing makes me really disgusted and angry. We are an new agent and new AOD seller on ebay ,never do anything to spoil sky18482310521's business. What we want to do is own more customers with our good service.

Here I state that all my items on sale is directly from AOD company. I am an authorized seller of AOD company. What sky18482310521 did have all been reported to EBAY both USA and China. If necessary I will also go law process.

Now he is keeping sending messages to me and my customers. oh my god!

Well isn't this all very interesting.

I have to say that I bought from Alan (Allen?) because that was the only one available at the time, and I really wanted the doll body quickly. ("We will ship within a week of confirmed payment." It was closer to 3 weeks before the body shipped. I just received it today. I'm very pleased with the actual product, but I have to admit that this whole business has me thinking buying direct from the site is the way to go.

Geez I wish people wouldn't do stuff like this. It just gets everyone upset and creates a huge amount of distrust in the hobby.

 

This will happen frequently. Some sellers do not have stocks at all, they will buy from AOD company after they have sold the itmes, which will avoid more risks.

The best way to solve the problem is that seller should have some stocks. Customers have to wait only when they have special requirements, or they should be given a despatch asap.

 

Okay I do have a question for you then... I ordered from Allan, he was the only one around selling them on Ebay that i could see. So you're saying you are dealing directly from the company or are you a resller also? Just trying to clarify the situation here because this is getting a little confusing and starts to look like a soap opera.

I got my body today and the only bad thing I can say is that I was scared the doll would be damaged because of the state of the box. So I would recommand that you get strudier boxes to ship the dolls because it was really unnerving. The doll was okay, it was heavilly wrapped in bubblewrap but still, for a monent I was really concerned.

I don't know what your dealings with AOD are and what Allen's were but maybe you both jumped the gun at each other a little fast. He probably thought he was the only representative that was officially accepted. And he was concerned because a lot of people get swindled by scammers on Ebay.

I am assuming that you aren't one of those people and that you're doing an honest business. But surely things could have had been handled better?

 

I just looked on Ebay and Renaissancefashion has never been left a feedback on a doll sold. They sell dresses. But just recently they have changed to AOD dolls.

 

Yes, we changed to AOD dolls recently. But we have selling AOD dolls in China for a long time. Aod doll is a new business recently began on ebay, but good service will still be provided, such as the second day despatch service.

 

Ebay doll business is new to me, but I have a store in china selling BJD for quite a long time. Alan and I are both agents of AOD. We get all our dolls from the same place,AOD company. Alan is now working in Dalian, Liaoning, China, selling on ebay is his part-time job. I just can't understand why he prentended to be the general manager of AOD and send messages to my customers!

I don't intend to influence Alan's business, just want to use our good service to win more customers of AOD. I had kept silent for a long time, hope alan can stop sending false messages himself, just want to solve the problem peacefully. But I am keeping receiving emails from my customers asking what happened. Just can not bear any more.

You have your own right to choose whom you wanna to buy from. Competition between two sellers will also result good service, is that right

 

Hmm, have been thinking to write something here for a few days now ^^ I've been following this thread every since I ordered my own BJD from Renaissancefashion.

1.) About the weird e-mails. I don't know anymore whom to trust, but to be really honest I think it's nothing they should fight out through the ebay customers. And I think it's not legal to ask a customer on ebay to step back on a made auction even IF the other one should be the legalized seller.
I have word against word right now. Two people claiming to be the "true" seller of AOD. I won't take sites just because someone told me to ^^ I have no right to condemn someone just because of the word of another.

2.) Until now I've been quite happy with my ordering from Renaissancefashion. They're very friendly and patient (even with a noob like me As long as I get my doll now without having to make trouble I'll be completely happy ^^

3.) We're always quick to sentence someone and find excuses for doing so just because the word of another ^^ I guess this is a fight between two people worth to be watched to see what the outcome is, but nothing to be part of as long as I don't have to ^^

Ok, that's been my 2 cent ^^ You're allowed to throw stones now (no matter if it#s because of my oppinion or my bad morning-english) XD

 

FYI if the other seller is messaging your buyers through the eBay system and telling them not to buy from you that's actually a pretty big offense called 'Auction interference'. Well, renaissancefashion, Good Luck to you. I have been watching these dolls since they started showing up on Ebay, and reading here about how happy the buyers are with the dolls, so I may pay you a visit.

 

So, I was correct in assumimg that you both were legal agents and were kind of going neck and neck. Way to go me!

But, back on topic.. I heard you say something about introducing everyone to new AoD dolls. And baby 1/6 dolls! When are the new ones coming?!!

 

Yes, AOD is not inventing new 1/6 baby dolls. If possible, you will see them in August. I am also waiting to see them

Anyone who knows is free to answer this for me. Exactly what size is a 1/6 doll? ^^; I only know about the 1/3 and 1/4 dolls. I don't think I've ever seen a 1/6 before and if I have, it must have been called something else.

Well competition is always good. I just hope everything can go back to normal so people don`t get confused with this issue because I love the dolls and I will probably buy more.

You need to remove the addresses. People could copy them down and use them to track these people in real life.

I know if sounds crazy, but even seeing their first anme on the list, these people will know to contact you.

Renaissancefashion, posting personal information is against the rules of DoA. I know that you have the best of intentions in terms of trying to contact your customers, but this is not the way to go about it.

Perhaps a notice on the front page of your website asking the customers to contact you (without posting their addresses, just the names) would work? I'm sure that people awaiting doll orders would check by the site at some point.

Sorry that the Singapore agent has left you with such a mess to deal with! Hope all the dolls are reunited with their owners soon
