USA Any collectors in Utah?

    1. Hi! Just getting my feelers out here. Is anyone else in Utah and do meetups happen around here?
      Also, do BJD meetups happen at conventions like FanX in SLC? We used to have Anime Banzai here as well, and I once saw someone with their doll there years ago.

    2. I'm in Utah. I feel like you are the first person I've seen ask about UT meetups on DoA in years, if at all!
      There was supposedly a FB group for Utah BJD collectors, but iirc it was largely north UT, and I'm south of SLC, so I didn't pursue it. There was a "Utah BJD Lovers" FB group as well but it hasn't been active since 2023... There was a respectably full BJD panel at Anime Banzai I went to maybe 3yrs back as well, but since AB is defunct now I'm not sure if they moved to FanX or not... I went to FanX this year but couldn't find any signs of doll-related panels. (Though I was terribly busy anyway)

      All that being said, I'd love to know as well! :sweat

    3. it certainly seems that way lol, I double checked the meetup posts just to be sure. but yay I’m glad to hear from someone else in Utah! :XD: I’m further north from SLC.

      I went ahead and checked those fb groups and they both seem pretty much dead unfortunately! our best bet right now might just be FanX, and maybe some other adjacent cons and events. I thought I saw some other first year anime con crop up in place of AB, but never looked further into it. I’m hoping to bring one of my dolls to RenFest next May, just for fun. maybe attend an event out of state soon :) !!

    6. aw thank you! I do not do enough withmy dolls these days but hopefully in the year to come that will be able to change. I have health issues that tend to run my life for me, but when I can I like doing dolly things. In my ideal dream, I get well enough to run a dolly hospital.
