Another ebay seller of copied sculpts - power.trade88

May 26, 2008

    1. power.trade88

Saw him turn up first on the UK ebay, but now he's on the US site as well. The price is dirt-cheap but who knows how good or bad the resin quality is, or even how well the dolls are cast. What I did notice is that he has an auction with a rip-off of a Luts El and another with a Luts Moon head, and the bodies are definitely Luts bodies. Another auction is a Latidoll rip, right down to the body. I don't recognize the sculpt in another auction.

There only seem to be a couple of auctions in the US site, but I remember seeing over 20 on the UK site, with several other companies' dolls represented as being original "babydoll" dolls.

Just FYI, guys. Although the *stolen* El really irritated me--

Edit: It does look like there has been minimal changes, but a double elbow joint is in place, which is different. But that torso, and the hand positions and more are pure Luts.

    2. That's him! He was only on the UK ebay at that point, but now he's also trolling the US ebay. I see there's still a bunch of auctions on the UK ebay, so obviously they didn't ban or limit him despite reports being sent in. So just as well I started this thread, since I couldn't find the other one even with several searches.

    3. Ahhh, thought so. I can definately see some Luts features in there. One of the girls is a DES/AES knockoff IMO.

    4. "shihouw?" .... i dont know much about recognising shiwoos, but with the name.... ugh. I saw that on the UK site :(

    5. Man, they even copied the Dollshe hound... I wonder why ebay hasn't shut down their store?

    6. Its the fact they havent just copied the hound head sculpt, its the entire body as well, its so OBVIOUSLY dollshe. I dont know how they get away with it :|

    7. I have no idea if ebay will do anything. Well, we can take turns messaging the seller from within each listing, telling him we're aware he's copying sculpts. Too bad the seller has the choice of making questions public. It would be great to see a bunch of people calling him out!

    8. I've already emailed the seller, THREE TIMES. The first time, I got a reply saying, "Our dolls are not copies. Thank you." that was it! The other two times, I got nothing.
I think this was being talked about in another thread, too. I found them when I was accessory hunting on Ebay. >O<
