40–49cm Dolls Another Angel Arrives (Volks DearSD Nono)

Volks SD Nono is my favourite doll of all time, and when I saw the DearSD version of Nono unveiled several years ago, I thought she was absolutely adorable! However, it wasn't until very recently that I was able to welcome one of these delightful dolls into my home and my collection.

She actually arrived on Christmas Eve!

This box was so large that I could have packed myself into it and mailed myself somewhere... if there was anywhere to go in 2020!​

It was so large that I couldn't really get it "under" the tree, in fact!​

​

Thankfully it was extremely well-packed—which I especially appreciated because the box for DearSD is so cute!​

The actual box was much smaller than the shipping box!​

I really adore that the box looks like a house!​

When the roof is up, it's even more ridiculously cute!​

Opened it up to see that cute little white zippered cushion! This is my first Volks with the zippered cushion; my other dolls have all been the kind that come with the white pillows.​

Unpacking the box! Cushion, wig, papers, and some other accessories!​

I really enjoy that the certificate comes with a greeting card and envelope—I wonder how many people give DearSD as gifts...​

 

Unzipped the cushion to find the doll inside, dressed and waiting! It felt like such a nice feeling, to have her already "complete", so to speak.​

She's just so cute! ♥ My heart can't take it!​

Unpacked and put on her wig, which came with a ribbon already tied​

I'm so very happy that she's here! I love seeing this sweet, familiar face on this childlike body—such a nice combination!​

I love all the details on her outfit—the dress, the apron, and her stockings!​

I do really love the box; it's so fancy! I wish I had room to store it in house-shape.
