    1. Hello! I know it's early, but after seeing a severe lacking in BJD panels at my previous year's convention circuit, I decided the best solution was to dive in and host it myself. I'm thinking of signing up two, if I can, one for education and one for hanging out and looking at other people's dollies, but what do you think? If I run both, what do you want to see in each one? And what other meetups do you want to do?

    2. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this year, but I think a general overview of BJDs is always a good panel! I host one every year at Anime Fargo and people seem to enjoy it.

      Otherwise, I think safe buying would be an amazing second panel. With the hobby becoming larger and larger, this topic is so important to those who are interested in the hobby! A lot of people get into BJDs from seeing them at cons, so this would be a great way of showing how to get started!

      I don't think I could do enough on safe buying to make a second panel and make it something people would really want to come to, but I do definitely want to include it in the educational panel if I can, with good clear reasons why to stay away from recasts and how to buy legit while sticking to a budget. Lower prices and layaway are your friends, people! :D

    5. Just got the panel approval, so we'll have the main Q&A one going on this year! Barring changes in the programming schedule, here's what we've got:

      Name: ABJD Q&A: All about Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls

      Time/Location: Friday 8pm to 9pm, Plaza 3

      Description: What are those fancy dolls you see people carrying around? I'll do my best to answer questions and more in this educational panel about the ball-jointed doll hobby.

      Panelists: ViceMage

      (It'll cut into my nap time a little, but so it goes. :) )

    6. So it looks like there's a second BJD panel, too; I'll add in the official information on it once it's actually officially out there (because things are still subject to change), but it looks like someone was thoughtful and put them back to back. :D

    7. The official program listings are out now! The second panel is "Asian Ball Joint Doll Show and Tell," 9:30-10:30, and also in Plaza 3, hosted by DeadLegato. I'll probably hang out for that, too, but might truck dolls back to my room in between or quickly ditch when that one ends (so if I seem like I'm running away, please forgive me, my shift starts at 11).
