    1. The dining room tables might work out and give us some place to sit down. If we buy something, such as a drink do you think that IRT
      will be less likely to make us move? We might also want to think of a back up if they shoo us away :)

    2. Do you need a badge to get into the food court? I think they moved the dealer room so there not in the same room anymore. I personally am not buying a badge, so a meet up where you don't need a badge to get in would be awesome!

    3. You do need a badge to get into that area, yes, but we can have meets in different places!

      So far what we've got for potential locations are:
      - Lower Dome
      - Hyatt Lobby Couches
      - DES Food Court

      Only the last one needs a badge, so we could do a later-afternoon one there, and have a more midday one in the dome or lobby so badge-less people can show up.

      EDIT: For backup if we get shooed off by IRT from the food court, maybe down into the ballroom hallways (which are fairly wide) if we stay out of the way of panels out there?

      I guess we don't want to stray too far from
      our initial meeting areas so that picking up
      and moving isn't a hassle.

      I like the idea of the Hyatt lobby
      couches being a back-up if the food court doesn't work. Or we
      can choose the couches first and choose something else as a
      back up for those that won't be purchasing badges?

      The Hyatt Lobby couches are actually a pretty long hike... the food court is in the DES, so we'd have to pack up and hike through the habitrail back to the Hyatt if we used that one. We'll probably want something much closer; the hallway I was thinking of is the one around "Panel Room 1," which I remember being fairly wide, especially on the side bordering River Road. (The area along the other side, where the curved outer wall is, is the drive-up with the fountain, if that helps anyone orient themselves.)

      Is anyone adverse to this idea of using the Food
      Court first and the Panel 1, 2 and three's hallway as a back-up?

    10. I liked the lower dome it was nice being tucked away in the corner. and being on the ground means if a doll tumbles its not to concrete :0

    11. I liked the lower dome but it is kinda nice to not have to sit on the floor. I'll be going as well. I may or may not make the thursday meet, but I'll try for the others. If anyone has any requests for dolls they'd like me to bring, check my profile and let me know. :)

      Right now I'm pretty undecided on what I'm bringing with me.

      @vicemage: Well our first location was the DES food court and we didn't want to move
      too far and I noticed that there's a bridge to the Embassy. That might prevent us from
      having to move in possible bad weather and it's right across from the 1,2 & 3 panel rooms.
      What do guys think? Is the Embassy possible?

      Also what is the policy for heads? Will anyone want to see them? I don't know how I
      would transport one though >.<

    16. Embassy's a good idea. The bridge is wonderful for bad weather and staying off the street. I think spreading it around is a good idea. Also remember the food court area of the dealers room is only open 10am - 6pm and last year it took a long time when they first opened the dealers room to get people in, but the tables wouldn't be full or dirty first thing.

      Lower Dome??

      Anyone have preference time wise?
      We could all look at panels and shows
      we wish to attend and try and figure out a
      universal time? :)

    28. Maybe Saturday evening could be the Embassy Lobby? With so many major events going on, the DES and Hyatt will absolutely be crowded, but we may be able to manage the Embassy better. And Saturday midday could be the Lower Dome? The DES foodcourt would have to be a midday one to avoid the room closing up on us, and Saturday probably isn't ideal for that... Okay, tentative schedule here (no actual times yet):

      Friday midday: DES foodcourt or DES ballroom corridor
      Friday evening: Lower Dome

      Saturday Midday: Lower Dome
      Saturday Evening: Embassy Lobby

      Sunday Midday: DES foodcourt or DES ballroom corridor

    29. I like the schedule so far. :) Can both of the meets on Saturday be at the Embassy? It might be easier to remember if we keep the same spot.
      Also do you know if there's any seating or tables in the lower dome? Also what dollies are you planning to bring vicemage if you don't mind me asking? :)

    32. I think we could do that! Mostly I was shooting for a distribution of locations in the first draft there, but we could definitely shift both Saturday meets to the Embassy instead. It'd definitely be quieter than any location in the DES or Hyatt on a day like Saturday!

      kmac1342, it's been ages since I've seen a Euclase, I hope you can make it (and I can too)!

      AnnoDomini, I'm still not 100% sure on who's coming. I do know I'm bringing my Tiny Jace and Edward (LTF El and Soom), because I have a perfect little carrier for them, but whoever I bring for bigger ones is still a bit up in the air (unless anyone has requests). There's a good chance my still-blank DollPamm girl might come since she was pretty popular at the last convention I attended! (And if I'm lucky, I'll have a chance to run out and grab sealant, and actually blush her before the con.)

    35. Yeah that's how my sister is too. She helps restring them, dress them, and gives her opinion on them but she won't get a full doll on her own. I've been wondering what to dress my guys in as well. I already know what my 65cm will be in but it's my Switch that I can't figure out >< maybe I'll bring a second outfit ^.^;

      Is there some theme we an choose or is that too much? Either way I love seeing doll clothes :D

    37. @Doveheart: I also have pajamas but the elastic waistband is weakening so much they just fall off his butt, lol!
      Unfortunately I'm not a seamstress(yet) and I can't fix them. I also don't want to go back to the person that made them
      because I don't want to be a bother :(

      I'll probably just bring my newest outfit for my 60cm. Maybe another wig :)

    38. AnnoDomini, Jace is definitely coming along with me! He and Ed tuck perfectly into my "personal item" for traveling (it's designed to hold two LTFs and some extra stuff); it comes more to a matter after that of who fits nicely in the carry-on bag after that. I've fallen for the El sculpt a bit myself and am sorely tempted to violate my "no big dolls" rule with an F60 El (and a Shiwoo on an F60 body to go with him).

      Dove_Heart, I haven't finished the outfits for any of mine, so they'll come along in whatever I have, though if I can dig up some PJs for them for the meetup, they'll have those, too!

      EDIT: So the meetup schedule (I knew there was something else I needed to say here)... how does this look to everyone?

      Friday noon: DES foodcourt or DES ballroom corridor
      Friday 6 or 7 pm: Lower Dome


      Saturday noon: Embassy Lobby
      Saturday 6 or 7 pm: Embassy Lobby


      Sunday 11 am or noon: DES foodcourt or DES ballroom corridor

      There's some rough times now, up for debate... they're sort of based again on last year's schedule, for simplicity's sake.

      i'm probably going to try to make it to the official meet (joining in on the "why 2 in the morning" cry) but that'll depend on how i feel after hardcore synergy @_@;;

    45. It's a bit last minute (the planning to go to Acen at all, that is xD) but I'll be attending for the full weekend this year and will definitely be going to at least one of the meet-ups! I went to the Saturday night one last year, but arrived a bit late so didn't get to meet many people at all. I'm not sure when I'll be arriving Friday but I'd like to attend the 'official' 2:30am one and maybe the later Saturday evening one. I'm still debating who to bring, but it might just be whoever I can stuff in my pretty roomy MSD carrier. ^^'; Thinking of leaving the big guys at home because they're such a pain to drag anywhere.

      I'm looking forward to meeting some (or all!) of you. x) It's been a while since I've gotten to geek out in person about dolls.

    48. I should make it to all the meetups except for the Friday afternoon one. I'll be bringing 3-4 MSDs and Yo-SDs from my shop and tons of wigs and glass eyes. May also bring some used dolly clothes from my personal collection. This year I'm actually able to take credit cards too! Yay!:)

    53. I'm crossing my fingers here that it warms up a bit soon so I can spray sealant... really want to bring my DollPamm girl but she's in pieces for blushing right now. It's too cold to spray right now, and yesterday was too wet. At least the first round's done and, if it gets warm and stays dry, I can get her finished off in time!

      I've decided I'm bringing the same group that went to the last con, they traveled well and (hopefully) all but one are actually more or less finished aside from clothes, which is more than I can say for most of my crew. :sweat So I'll have two LTFs (Shiwoo/Edward and El/Jace), one WithDoll boy (Kyle/Jace), and one DollPamm girl (Ivi/Razzy) with me!

      I actually have a bit of a request, if anyone would be so kind. I'm bringing my musclelady again, and I'm interested in getting her a set of Dollzone jointed hands since they're on preorders again. Does anyone have a pair of the 65 or 70cm male jointed hands that she could try on? I'd like to see how they fit before I commit. Thanks!

Not sure which of the unofficial meetups I'll be at, but I'll be carrying around my Dollmore Trinity all day Saturday and should make at least a few of the unofficial meetups and the official one if anyone wants a chance to see her in person. Friday I'll be carrying my souldoll sharics and Sunday will be my coco tribe faye in mint green. I'm not sure who else I'll be bringing to the official meetup but I'll have a half dozen or so with me.
