Animania Sydney 2012 Discussion Thread

I've ordered my tickets! Unfortunately my bank didn't allow the credit card online payment

I'll have to pay a different way. Because today is the last day for the advance tickets, will I have to pay the presale price, or will I still get the advance price? Thanks, and sorry for the silly question.

Looking forward to this! I'll see if I can wrangle something together for Best Dressed. I think I'll only be there on Saturday, at this stage. Which is a pity. I usually really enjoy Animania

 

I'm pretty bummed that I'm not going to be able to make it to Animania this year. I'm sure you guys are going to have an awesome time though. Be sure to take lots of pictures ^^

Put in my availabilities to work, got my tickets, all that's left is figuring out who to take with me.
If you guys are fine to have me I might spend a bit hanging around and gushing at all the prettyness.

 

I am going to be there on Saturday 22nd with my daughter. I will be the one carting around the orange n black check dollmore trunk carrier if anyone wants to say hi =^-^= Got my tickets all booked last week.
Will be submitting my work by midnight Tuesday. Thanks for the extension on the dates for submission as Monday was a bit of a write-off for me. My bank account got skimmed over the weekend (lost close to $1000) so I was a bit of a wreck most of Monday trying to sort out what I needed to do to get by in the mean time whilst the bank investigates the issue. All I can say is at least I had enough cash out for the basics at the moment, and either way as I already booked my Animania tickets I will be there (just that I am sadly unlikely to have any spending money.)

 

I have actually been trying to call Aurora Entertainment to try to cancel my tickets due to my financial circumstances. It could take up to a month for the bank to investigate the situation. In the mean time, here I am with my account in negative balance and school holidays about to start with 2 kids I won't be able to take anywhere or do anything with. Animania is now the last thing on my mind and, to be honest, all I am thinking about is trying to get my account back into positive figures.

 

Sorry to read about your troubles, JenKat. I have no suggestions on how to get in touch with them unfortunately.

Do we have a confirmed number of people on this thread that are going? I'll be there, but I'm currently in the 'deciding who to bring' phase. I want to pack my bag and prep for it this afternoon.

Lesse...my two CP Delfs maybe? My Unidoll guy? Real Puki and Puki Puki? Decisions...

Oh Jenkat, that's horrible to hear :c Crossing fingers and toes and eyes and everything else that can be crossed that it will all turn out okay.

I am actually going both days. I'm in my 'who to bring' stage, too (left it kind of late ^_^" ) My pretty boy who I have to dismantle to fit into his carry bag, my flower girl or my SD boy. Times like these that make me curse loving bigger sculpts over the smaller counterparts xD

I did finally see in the fine print of Aurora Entertainment's "refund policy"...or no-refund policy is more like it:- "A change in personal circumstances does not entitle the ticket holder to return or exchange the ticket." (Peels of crazed laughter ensues after a particularly bad week).
Ok, so one way or the other with my bank account in negative balance due to the account skimming I am really in no mood nor financially able to join you today. Instead I am looking at my dolls and doll related paraphernalia and sorting though who and what is going up on ebay next until my account is out of the red.

Edit:- No sour grapes though. I still hope everyone who is going has a great time..,.have extra fun for me and congrats to those of you who end up as prize winners in the 3 comps.

Haha!!!! I just spent an hour bring paranoid and wrapping her in like 2kgs of padding for today! First time I'll be taking her out and so scared something will happen OAO.

 

Yay! Lol I can't even begin to imagine how you would wrap her!

 

I went yesterday and I had a fantastic time! I was lucky enough to win a lucky door prize! Yay! Shoes and socks for my Yo-SD!

Thanks very much to the origanisers and sponsors! Your display was excellent and we had a fine contingent of volunteers there to help out and keep an eye on things! Really well done.

I'm going to sort out my pictures, and if there's some good ones I'll throw 'em up in the Meetup Gallery section.
