Thank you that's great info. And I'd love to see that. I bet it'd be so cute. And there weren't many pics of them clothed so it's kind of hard to picture just how much more like a child as apposed to an infant they'd look. Thank you both immensely.
If I'm going to be honest I have sooooooo many of them in mind that I'd want to buy. At least four. A dodo, a guy, a ND probably two mom's... though I am weak and want more because they are ADORABLE! So only finances hold me back. I've already got characters in mind, these cute guys would just be perfect for them.

Oh my gosh I love it! I wish they still sold the sailor outfits, they were so precious! And seem like they'd be a pain to sew. >o<

 

They should bring them back, they were apparently popular. Not long after I got mine they were "out of stock"!

 

Yeah that sounds about right. Unfortunately. I wish they would too. It makes no sense to not supply the demand. If it's a matter of no longer having access to the exact same fabric they could post pics of the fabric they can get and I'm sure people would buy. Anyways too bad for us eh? Oh well I guess that just leaves those who want that look three options; craft it, commission it, of skulk through second-hand for it. Thanks for the pic btw. Have you guys seen the new Sagittarius doll that AS put up today? Its so adorable!!!! I think I am going to get her!

 

Love the doll, but unfortunately not the stock. I was really looking forward to this one (being a Sag.) but don't care for all the pink. I love the boys stock though, and his normal (non anime) face up! Thinking about it....

 

Awesome the girl Sagittarius is sooooooo cute! I adore her outfit. Though I've never really liked the anime face... 8/ though I love the boy version's shoes! X3

 

I just received Virgo today after a long time looking for her. All the horoscope series dolls are really unbearably cute. Its too bad they'll only release them as limiteds.

Its an Iplehouse KID outfit, and its actually too big. the starry body is exactly the same size as a regular YoSd, just with super long legs lol.

 

Aw!! I agree...although I don't have any of the horoscope dolls they're adorable! Love the current Sagittarius but can't get her/him.

 

Anyone interested in the new Rong Rongs? I think they are adorable, and remind me of Xagadoll or
A-S Scorpio.

Quick question: do Blythe clothes fit the Baby AS dolls? The listings on eBay are confusing me.

 

I mean something that is 2-piece with stretchy material and elastic waist flared skirt you could get on, but my fitted Blythe dresses...no. The shoulders and chest are far larger for Baby AS the back won't even be close to fastening.

Capricorn - Starry body (31cm)

 

Came late to the BJD game, but I really, really want Baby Huaxi 2.0 and Baby Yandi 2.0. Any chance someone here owns them and can post owner pics?

Oh, he's a darling! Though I do wonder if the head would scale with the starry body better.

 

fionvarre: Probably would look great on the starry body. I just have quite a collection of 26cm so I got him like this. I haven't gone for the bigger size yet.

 

I was wondering why the starry body has a single jointed torso, since that sacrifices some mobility and posing possibilities. But I guess that doesn't matter as much with small dolls vs bigger ones?

 

fionvarre: On a doll this small for me it's not an issue (I don't do a lot of posing), but some would prefer more articulation. I don't know why AS made the body like this. I wouldn't mind having the starry body, I love the 12 Constellation Series, just not the price! I've bought all my AS dolls nude, as the full sets are pricey.

Butter is such a lovely skin tone. All the dolls I've ordered so far have been big boys, but I really must get me some tinies since they're easier to carry around.

And yeah fullsets are expensive, especially on the English sites! Sadly there's this double standard going where dolls are always way more expensive in the English site vs. the Chinese site or Taobao store.

My local AS dealer's prices are pretty competitive though, so I'll probably be coursing any future orders through her instead of through the website.

Leon is so cute! I can totally imagine shelling him as the Little Prince. But sadly between the two big boy fullsets I put on layaway I doubt I can afford him.

I looked through AS's other babies though, and I think FuBao and Ice would be good stand-ins for Yandi and Huaxi with the proper faceups.

 

fionvarre: Ice reminds me of Cheney - Bella - Nero...maybe it's the nose and mouth. FuBao is really cute. I kind of favor the half-closed eyes with the Baby AS dolls. Really love Scorpio SP for example!

 

Re: Ice and Cheney/Bella/Nero, it's definitely their cute little button noses. Baby Huaxi's nose is a bit sharper and has a more defined nose bridge. But other than that I think Ice can cosplay as Huaxi pretty well.

Half closed eyes are chameleons. They're sweet on the baby dolls and sultry on the SD ones lol.
