My first BJD in years, having sadly lost all my BJD during several chaotic relocations in 2020. Finally settled down for a while now I hope, and wanted to start sewing again! Hoped AoD, true to form, would be speedy to deliver - which they were I've had AoD before and they're absolute bargains IMO - reliably well finished and strung, stand straight out of the box, etc. A very underrated company! Ordered from Alice's Collections just 5 weeks ago, she was dispatched on 24th April EMS but took a fortnight to get here (UK) due to the May Labour Day national holiday in China last week (I do not begrudge these guys a holiday though - they deserve one!) opening pics by elve, on Flickr headwrap by elve, on Flickr I ordered her on the small bust, so she didn't come wearing a bra like AoD girls usually do. Interesting new headwrap too rather than a plastic facecap - She was really well wrapped in bubblewrap too with no chance of damage from movement - Plus a lovely wig in the $1 spring offer which I'd forgotten to add I'm sure so very pleased to see it included! Also included freebies of eye putty and magic eraser. I'm SO pleased with her faceup - I love those eyes! faceup by elve, on Flickr Surprised she fitted into the outfit I'd sewn for the monthly DoA sewing project! And as I was convinced I'd forgotten the wig, I'd bought another from Alices separately a couple of weeks ago, which I also received yesterday. decisions by elve, on Flickr Having seen a newbie struggling with wigs on youtube, this is how I put them onto dolls without touching the faceup. Use your right hand to pull the back of the wig cap around and down to the neck. wig demo by elve, on Flickr AoD Shang Nai by elve, on Flickr But in the end we settled on this one...for now AoD Shang Nai by elve, on Flickr
