Wait Times Angel of Dream doll still hasn't arrived?

Nov 6, 2011

    1. Hello everyone! Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. :sweat

My friend ordered an Angel of Dream Hun Dong directly from the company's website on September 25th. The website told her she should expect her doll around the end of October. She hasn't received him yet, and she's beginning to worry. Since the only doll I currently have was ordered from Denver Doll, I'm not sure how long the shipping takes when a doll has been ordered from overseas. Is she wrong to be worrying? Or is something amiss? AOD's website sill lists her doll's status as 'Pending', but from what I've heard, that's normal and that even once the doll arrives the site still lists it as pending.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much! :aheartbea

    2. AoD ships in 30 business days, so that means Monday through Friday, not counting holidays. That equals about 45 days total, give or take, so around a month and a half.

Usually when they ship, they don't change the status. It's quite possible the doll has shipped but they didn't change the stauts. I ordered hands back in May and they got here without me ever knowing they shipped.

I would give it another week or two, especially with it being holiday season. If still nothing, then email them or ask on their Q&A.

    3. Holiday season..? Where in the world is it holiday season right now..? :P

He could also be with customs right now, may take a couple of weeks. I wouldn't worry if I were you :)

    4. Thank you both so much! She and I will just have to be a little more patient, I guess. ^^

    5. Thanks for the feedback guys! I guess I'm just worrying since it's my first doll purchase!

    6. We've had several holidays in the past couple of months in the US. Nothing majorly big but the PO is closed for Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day...Thanksgiving is coming up in a couple of weeks and people are already shopping for Christmas, so sometimes shipping is already getting slow. And I know nothing about holidays in other countries, so I wasn't sure if anybody else's postal service was closed. :)

    7. Well they had Chuseokm, a national three day holiday (which people travel to their home towns to celebrate), in mid September, their Foundation Day AND Hangul Day (the day they celebrate the origin of their language) were both in October. :) I wouldn't worry too much since all of these are considered national holidays and are typically celebrated- so you would naturally see a delay. I would post on their Q&A But they will likely tell you that they were celebrating the holidays. They won't have another holiday until Christmas. ^_~
