I actually found a few owner pix of what I thought was this body or maybe the large chest a few weeks ago on Flickr but can't remember who posted them lol.

 

Rescued 'my' Qian from the dusty dungeon which is my son's bedroom today - I gave her to him a couple of Christmases ago rather than sell her, since she was my first ever BJD (from happyhouse4u in 2012) He totally ignores her but likes her just being there on the shelf apparently (because I have offered money to buy her back!!!) Anyway, today I dusted her off and gave her some new clothes! Here she is with my AoD Will

thanks Jigarkhvar I did find it hard to put her back in his room! ^_^ But then when he got home he said 'Yaaaay! My doll is back!' - so I think maybe he missed her (she'd been gone for days as I was cleaning his room thoroughly - ugh! Qian had to lay on a pile of washing upstairs waiting patiently!)

the weirdest thing is he said wow she's wearing a coat like ***** (his best friend) - he showed me a photo on his phone and sure enough she wears a beige raincoat all the time! What a strange coincidence Here is some more Qian spam, while I get the chance ^_^ She has such a sweet face - she was the first BJD I saw which didn't scare me or look really sad!

I have a Angel of Dream bjd, and I'd like to get some high heel feet for her. The original post on this thread says AoD offers heel feet, but I don't see any on their website. Anyone know if they're still available? If not, where can I get some that would match AOD normal pink ?

 

Hello! I just have a small question for the thread--can someone measure the width of their boy's shoulders for me in cm? I'm looking at the AoD body and it really doesn't look like it has 12cm shoulders. O_o It'd be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone ^^ nice to see all te photos and news.

I'm kinda meh lol I have my Zi yuan but i'm not happy with her I like happy dolls and she just to serious for me but as I notice she is too yellow! I'm her third owner but ugh, none of my other dolls are this color. Would anyone know how a luts delf might look like on the girl body? I have seen a delf on a boy body on flickr but that's it lol.

So many lovely dolls here! I have two AoD dolls on my list, two of Jimi to be my twins and Wu Shuang. Do any of you have a Wu Shuang? I can't find any owner pics anywhere and the company photos are so poorly lit and blurry that I can't tell for certain that I really want her...

 

I recently placed my order for my first ever BJD! I purchased a normal pink skin Juli from Alice's Collections. I can't wait for her to come!!!!!

 

I have AOD Kim and I am wanting to get him a friend. I thought Qi would be ideal. Where is the best place to get one, I'm in the UK.

Meanwhile....FINALLY I got my lovely Qian back from my son's dusty pit of a room - and she's mine forever! *happy dance* He is leaving home for Uni halls and doesn't want to take her with him - hooray! As you can see the stress of being trapped with him for so long has turned her hair grey - poor love I know how she feels! ^_^

Hi, newbie to the thread here. It's nice to see cute owner pics ^^ does anyone know what happened to AoD's site? The link at the start of this thread and the database now leads to junk. I've got a second hand body on hold for my girl and if it works out I'd like to get some heel feet for her. So her shorter-than-her boyfriend can hate me!

 

It won't load for me either - I'll try later on my laptop. The Chinese version seems okay but I can recognise like three kanji so, yeah, I think a dealer is the way to go! Thank you for updating the link.

Is Wamami a legitimate dealer for them? I couldn't believe it when I read on the database page that the bodies have been recast. Just when I thought I could be relaxed about buying dolls from less expensive companies!

 

What eye size does Izumi have?

He is on my 2016 wishlist. I'm planning on ordering both him and AF Xu in the very near future. And I'm going to order some eyes for my Izumi from SoulDoll

I have not heard about avanchick before. I could never get tired of j-rock but I must admit I don't listen as much to j-rock as I once used to. But even so, j-rock love lasts for life

Jon and Kyo are still sharing body (Kyo have the body now) Because of some limited dolls that's been I have still not found the time to order a body..

But I'm thinking Jon should get a SDF65 body so Kyo can get my old SDF body. I guess Izumi will have to wait a bit longer, but that's ok.

 

I've seen them and they are huge! I would be too afraid of buying a giant like that. What sculpt are you getting?


I have a very difficult dilemma right now. Saving up for a SDF65 body for my Jon Underdown MNM so he and Kyo do not have to share body anymore. Or saving up for my Izumi

It's important that Jon get his own body. But I can't stop thinking about Izumi

 

I'd love to see more pics of Izumi! I find it so hard to get past the official photos, and the ones of Izumi are from a strange angle mostly? Would be great to see more photos of AoD dolls in general - I think they're great value! Meanwhile another boring pic of my Qian - I have no photography skills and no imagination She's happy to be sitting next to my sleepy girl now as there is no need to share the ice cream with her

thanks manabusama ^_^ On the left of the pic is my AoD Qian - my first bjd bought in 2012 - and I've had many other bjd since come and go, and still totally impressed with her engineering and quality - although her hair's gone grey as I've had her so long! ^_^ Her companion is my newest bjd - a very old volks f-05 sleeping sister - found her on ebay!

I really want a huge chested sd girl oneday in the future. But I have not decided yet if I should go for a Luts SDF girl Dahlia with a type 4 body. Or one of the AOD girls with the giant chest!

I only have one sd girl (my CP Delf Soony) so I feel strongly it's time to get her a friend.

 

oh yes I'd forgotten AoD do that giant bust! They had no choice back when I got my girl - but it is yet another thing AoD offers which is really quite unusual and special - I love the flat chest option too!

 

The flat chest is amazing I like the MSD flat chested body. I saw a picture of the You head on it and I thought it could make a real cool elf or pixie character

I try not to fall for any more bjd sculpts right now. I don't want any more dolls on my wishlist than I already have. But with this hobby you just never know

 

That's where I bought her body but not her feet :X I'm not sure if the shoes there are the right dimensions for her feet

 

It's not the best picture and she badly needs a new faceup... But this is my AOD Zi Yuan, I've had her since 2010.

 

Does anyone knows please if AOD pink body will match Musedoll pink?? I have a Musedoll head on her way and the AOD body seems pretty, poseable and affordable so it's my number 1 choice...if the resin will match ^^; I wouldn't need 100% match, anything north of 90 will be awesome.

 

Hello all. ^-^ I was wondering if someone could give me some advice here.
I own a 60cm AoD girl who I bought second hand (well, actually, she's at least third hand). I've owned her for awhile now, and she has an outfit, wig, etc.-- everything except shoes. Then comes the problem-- she didn't come with high heel feet, and most of the shoes I like have heels. She was originally a white skin doll, but due to her age, has become a creamy yellow color. I'm not sure which skin tone feet (also was considering jointed hands) to buy. She seems somewhere between the WS and YS. Should I opt for white, and possibly sit the feet (and potential hands) in the window for a few days, or would yellow be a better match?

I'm sorry if that was fairly wordy. ^^'

 

I'd go for white skin and try blushing them if you're comfortable with that.
I've never tried to yellow resin myself but I'd be interested in seeing the results if you try it.

 

@dr_jekyll1372 I suppose I could try blushing first (since it's much easier to remove than yellowing is anything goes awry), although I don't think I have the right pastel shades, so it'll take a lot of mixing.

If I get too frustrated, I'm thinking of placing them under a UV lamp or on a windowsill-- although I think a lamp would yellow them more evenly. I'll document the results if I try it. ^-^

@Jigarkhvar I haven't tested her flat feet with any heels higher than those that would equate to a 1 or 2" on person shoes-- she does have some pretty flexible ankle joints. Although, due to the curve in a lot of high heel shoes, I'm not sure the feet would fit. How high are your boy's heels? ^^

 

I've got two AoD ladies that only have flat feet and they do alright in high heel shoes but some of my ladies from other companies have high heel feet on and they seem to stand a bit better when I (rarely) pose them to stand up. The biggest issue I've had with not having high heel feet is that shoes are sometimes a bit harder to zip up.

 

I have those same exact shoes in black! I've never tried them on my AoD girls but I vaguely remember them a big snug when I put my Impldoll Iris' reg feet in them before I got her some Resinsoul high heel feet.

AoD scoop anyone? Does anyone know if they will be updating their large-sized body? I am interested in getting their 60cm boy, but I really am bothered that they don't have shivel joints. It's their 10th anniversary next year (2017) and I wonder if it's smart to wait a year to see what they come with.

 

I have come to the decission that I will not be getting Izumi after all I'm a too big Luts fan and the SSDF Cane have been my ultimate grail SD guy for years now!

I'm planning to get a couple of more SDs but they will be my last ones. There's a limit to how many SD dolls I can have. I base any future purchases on Cane ( He's quite the special guy ). And I feel Izumi do not fit in with Cane or the two other Luts SD guys (SDF 65 Regen and SDF Bliss) I'm planning to get.

It's a good thing money do not grow on trees. Gives you the time to think things through!
