Hi there once again! I recently started working on another head concept. I'll get back to Spade eventually, but he's going to get a major reworking when I do. I decided that I wanted to make an angel character, and did some initial sketches. I wanted them to have more than two eyes, because I like the biblical angel aesthetic, but wasn't sure where to put them or how many, so I sketched a bunch of variations to choose from! After that, I asked a lot of friends for their opinions, and settled on the middle right head. I got to sculpting the head in Zbrush pretty soon after that, making sure to take my time blocking things out before I would divide polygons to increase the poly count. This is what they looked like fairly early on. They're much more detailed than my previous sculpting attempts were at this resolution. Once I'd made sure everything was smooth, in the right place, and as detailed as I could get it at this level, I divided the poly count and moved on to some finer details. I defined the eyes and nose further, added the brow ridge, and gave the mouth some much-needed definition. This was as far as I ended up getting last night! I plan to sculpt more later today, specifically to refine the ear-wings and possibly the mouth if I reach a point where I'm ready to go to the next division level. Feedback is very appreciated, also!
I am loving all of your projects! My favourite of this sketch is for sure the whole vertical central row but top center has stolen my heart hah! Can't wait to see updates on this project
