The bodies are different- I think Eli posted a comparison somewhere, I don't know if on her Instagram or blog- but the size of both the new boy and girl are different.

I only have the old boy, but I have a new girl and an older girl pose body- I could take a comparison photo if someone were still looking and couldn't find Eli's, but I am no professional

I do love my new pose girl, the body is in fact better, much tighter strung and fantastic posing- it's amazing.

I found the comparison photo! I think I like the previous girl body butter and I'm not sure about the boy. I love the new Orion faceplate, but the body seems soooo much larger! Maybe it's just me but just a couple of centimeters is such a big difference... I guess it's like he looks more muscular and broad, which normally what I like; however, there is a lithe elegance to the older boy model... I have too much time on my hands right now lol!

Did anyone order the newest iteration? I really wanted to order the newest body just because it looks like it poses so much better... maybe if the the original doll bodies are sueded they can pose better? I'm not sure. What do you all think?

 

It just occured to me that I haven't posted a photo of my Menagerie girl here! I adopted her from the marketplace a few months back - she's a Lily in white resin on the 1st gen posing body (I think). I've named her Ghost

Does anybody have any recommendations for doll stands for the posing girls? (I'm trying to get all my dolls looking organised and tidy lol) I did see this stand on etsy that supposedly works for Marmite Sue dolls but I thought I'd check for ideas here too.

 

Did anyone order just a head a few months ago? I ordered and paid for Lithe and haven't heard a word since. I emailed Elly but no response.

Who here is going to order one of her new dolls? I've asked to be on the list but the price is higher than I expected and I don't have any information on if it's a girl, boy, if there are different faces to choose from, etc. Anyone know more than me?

 

Do you mean the limited order for "archival resin" and Moonglass? Or the regular order opening up?

You can check out her instagram for her newest sculpts- you may try just asking for a specific sculpt if there is one you have in mind?

Does anyone have recommendations on shoes for the second generation boy?

 

Oh it was a limited order- I think she was hand casting some stuff and she came up with a formula that is more expensive but shouldn't yellow over time as most resin does.

As for the regular order- don't worry, she will let you know which sculpts are available and you can usually order girl or boy. She also is very flexible with layaway.

 

Does anyone here have ideas for shoes for Marmite Sue dolls? Beyond the Marmite Sue custom-cast resin shop?

 

@Nerwign try to ask Eikollander (on insta). Nut sure they worked with Marmites already, but they definitely work with this size.

 

Has anyone gotten their new girl yet? From the November pre-order? My order was a little messed up so my girl won't ship until next month. But I think the main batch shipped in April? I'd love to see one!

 

I got my boy! But he still needs a wig- so... no pix yet (although I did post one on instagram to show Eli he arrived!)

Wow! Beautiful!! How do you find wigs for these petite dolls?? I ordered one of her extra boys and I don't know what I'm going to do about his hair!

 

Just contact your favorite wig maker? Or try to make one yourself?

 

Thanks I have never made a wig before but maybe this will give me motivation to try.

This thread has been so silent the last couple of months. It's sad, because Eli's work is so special and unique.
Did anyone get their boys and girls from the September 2022 pre-order or the December 2022 Special Adoption offer?

As for me, I am still waiting for my girls ordered late 2022 to arrive.
Also, I ordered one doll in April, 2023, but that's months off. ;-)

Did anyone else notice that her site is currently not working.

Not sure if I posted her picture or not. But here's my November in "tan" skin that I got last year. She's wearing a mishmash of clothes borrowed from here and there. I made her wig and did her faceup. She has a terrible smoking habit naughty girl!

Jay, she is so smoldering with that " I don't care" attitude. Fabulous! Even the cigarette smoke looks chic.

I ordered a November face and look forward to getting my girls in the mail.
When the orders are delivered, I should have one of each body type, Slim, Natural, and Muse>

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it or not, but my girls on the natural body can fit into Pasha Pasha mini clothes. And she can wear Tonner Deanna heels. I've only tried the open toe heels but they work perfectly.

@Jay - Thank you so much for these tips. I also have Pasha Pasha Minis and it's great to hear that they can share clothes with the Marmite Sue Natural Posing Body; It's alwas nice when different brands can share. I'm going to look into some Tonner "Deanna" heels, I wonder if the "Deanna" clothes can fit as well.
