66cm+ Dolls An Awaited Arrival :: Dream Valley Apocalypse Horseman

After 7 months and 1 week of production and 9 days meandering in the postal system, my Dream Valley Apocalypse Horseman Withered arrived! I ordered him blank and in pink skin, because I am hybriding him with a Soom Heliot head and it seemed the easiest color to match him to. I did a split so the head will be moving onward.




So first up is the box, it is massive, easily half my height (I’m short)




My postal system isn’t exactly gentle on these big boxes. Fortunately he arrived damage free!




Freed the company box from the shipping box, and of course a cat had to come check it out




First look! Foam first, but you can see the doll shining through it




Okay, now the first look! Bubble wrap mummy, literally!! His head and tail are not attached, to save on space I’m guessing as the doll is 75cm tall.




Fished out the head, but I opened it a little later as I was more interested in the body




The tail is a lot lighter than I expected! It’s hollow and strung together, but I will show that off shortly




Out of the box and ready to unwrap!




Unwrapped a Hand first, damn look at those nails! I’m not sure how I feel about them yet, but for now they are okay. Honestly I’m amazed there weren’t any breaks!








Closer look at the tail! The skull has notches on it to hold the different tail positions. Quite a nice feature but I’ll be making my own (unicorn) tail for this body. I keep giggling at that skull though, but it is beautifully sculpted!

Got the body unwrapped fully and it is quite heavy to be honest. Beautifully made with a loving attention to details in all parts. He moves smoothly and effortlessly.




Side view of the bum and legs, they really are gorgeously sculpted! One thing to note is that his ankles do try and buckle when I try to shift his weight around. I will likely wire and/or suede him, just for extra security.






Just a quick look at the Horseman head, he’s lovely and has a great nose! My split partner is thrilled! I’m excited to paint him for them




The moment of truth, putting Jamil, my Soom Heliot in cream white, on the body. There’s some minor gapping in the back, and the neck seems a little long, but overall I am pleased with the lanky proportions!




It’s even better with his wig on




I really love how expressive this body is, and how nicely it moves but still feels solid. Yes, he can just about hug his knees to his chest!




And finally dressed in his custom outfit. I’m so glad most parts fit, as it was made for his original Soom body, which got stolen by another head that dresses in mostly white and pale clothing… the only item I had to swap out was the shirt as it had 0 give and his shoulders are broader by 1cm at least


I will probably have to repaint his Faceup sooner than later as the head’s resin is yellow toned compared to the cool toned pink of the body.


I’m so glad the wait is over, he’s definitely worth it.

Thank you! And the tail just isn’t what I want for him, he needs a unicorn tail with a red tuft at the end. His partner, who is on the Heliot body, has a unicorn tail made by me as well! Tomorrow I will get a picture of the two of them together

Thank you so much, and yes it is mohair! It’s simple to make just takes a little bit. It’s movable too since the inside is aluminum armature wire
