Amadiz Chocolate Holly Boy

    1. Hello everyone!

      I wanted to share my unboxing with everyone of my Amadiz Chocolate Holly Boy since there isn't that many pictures of this sculpt and this resin color around. This is going to be a full video later on when I get the rest of my order, so the unboxing photos are screencaps of that video. There are additional detail pictures after the unboxing.

      About my order: I've wanted this doll in this resin color since I first saw the picture of the sculpt in 2018. I ordered a full boy doll with an extra Holly head with all hands and feet options, a full girl doll with an extra New Virginia head with all hands and feet options, 2 SD Minou open eyed heads, and 1 SD Minou sleeping head. The total cost for this order is around $4,800 after US sales tax. I placed my order in July of 2020 and was told it would be ready 6 months after my layaway was completed. I completed my layaway in September and then added the Minou heads in October. I emailed them about my order about 3 times while waiting for it and finally recieved the first part of my order September 2021. I'm still waiting on the rest of my order, which is why there is no full video for this unboxing.

      I was full expecting the doll to come inside of a company box because every other unboxing I've seen had them. There was no box at all. The doll was only bubble wrapped and then surrounded by bubble wrap and air pillows. It really felt like I just purchased a second hand doll from someone without a box and not a full doll directly from the company. This was incredibly disappointing for me.

      This was the absolute worst part of this unboxing. Because of the position of the doll the s hook from one of the legs became loose and when I lifted the doll the entire left leg fell down.

      Luckily though, I know how to restring dolls and I'm comfortable doing so, but this was still incredibly upsetting after all the time I waited and how much money I spent.

      It's not very visible in photos, but the head on the right has sanding all the way down to the brow bone. The other head does not having sanding that far down.

      Even though I asked for all hands and feet parts and it was stated in my invoices, I'm missing the Amadeus hands.

      The wrist has very slight indents on the ball joint.

      And lastly, a resin comparison. The left is Harucasting's Moist Chocolate, middle is Amadiz Chocolate, right is Iplehouse Light Brown.
      The resin color of this doll is incredibly beautiful and has a slight pink undertone. I'm very happy with how the resin turned out.

      I'm really not looking forward to unboxing the rest of my order from them if this is how it's going to be presented. :(

    3. Yikes. He's a pretty doll, but I'd be mad too. No box? What is with that! You pay nearly $5000 and don't even get a box with your doll? Or the hands you ordered? I hope that they send your hands later with the heads.

    4. Oh wow he is gorgeous! Sorry to hear you haven't had the best experience. I just received an in stock minou they listed and I was so impressed with the doll and especially the sculpting! Mine didn't come in a 'company' box like from a big production company, but was packed in a lovely white box with their logo stuck on. I hope they let you know about the hands soon!

    7. Lovely doll sculpt. Sorry the quality wasn’t what you expected. It sucks not having the magical feeling of a long awaited box opening. Unfortunately, this shipping method seems to be the new norm now with many companies.

    9. Congratulations! It’s a very beautiful doll you got there!
      I’m sorry to hear all you have been through…I think Amadiz is having trouble with so many things and orders. I ordered 2 wigs more than a year ago and I still don’t know about them. They were very expensive wigs and I’ll be ready disappointed it they aren’t like expected.

    10. Love the color and the sculpt of your doll!!! Sorry that the unboxing experience went unexpectedly bad for you consider how expensive he is…
      I just placed a order on their ready doll a week ago but haven’t received any shipping information. I hope the wait is not too long :(

    15. Amadiz's service is horrendous, I had a very bad experience with them myself, so I feel for you :( The doll is beautiful though, did you end up getting him painted and all? I really like the SD boy body, are you satisfied with it?

    16. I did end up finishing the doll yes, but I only like how the body looks. I do not like how the boy body moves at all and I would get another, but I don't feel like finding another body that would match in color and feeling (for the character)
