Alternative Genji (Volks F38, Maki)

    1. I am nuts about Japan, so I try to get my hands on all the traditional Kimono I can get my hands on. So when Volks released Genji I really wanted this outfit for my Japanese Boy, Kaitou Ayanokouji, badly.

      In my opinion, Genji, F38 and Maki are like brothers - since they have very similar features.

      Here is my Kaitou (F38) in the Genji outfit and Kento (Maki) in a Hakama outfit. (Ok, do not nail me on this. Yes, I know the two outfits are from completely different era. But that is the closest I have right now so, please just ignore the period difference between what these two brothers have on. Eventually, I will make outfits that match for these two.)

      Kaitou is the older brother and Kento is the younger. (Someday when I get Genji, he will be the oldest of the three).

    6. Wow! I love the Heian get-up! It's really lovely, I bet I could appreciate it even more if I knew more about pre-Edo period fashions. But those hakama in the modern outfit just slay me, they are just so perfect.

    11. Kaitou i love you~~~ @.@ your face is so beautiful, and he makes a wonderful alternative Genji. I totally agree about the similarities of these three molds. <3 anavel don't convince me i need a Maki....D: bah Kento is so handsome....T.T Awesome pics~
