all my handmade BJDS...

I have a rule... if I can make it, I won't buy it. When you're a student it's usually a good idea. XD It usually goes for food and decorations... Like I make my own cards. Granted that means the house it typically full of "decorating" items and I never get around to finishing most of them. XD


So here are all my boys.



This is my latest effort, Bastian v2. Bas is the same size as an SD, as I started him after I got Ghaleon. I find i cannot sculpt hands or feet worth a darn! Bas is made from Apoxie sculpt with a thin layer of super sculpey on top. I want to work on him more and fix him up(his leg got broke in our last move) and give him some hands and feet. But I don't really have time to. I'm going to try to make a tiny doll this weekend maybe. I love Bastian very very much. Probably as much as I love Ghaleon, which is saying a lot. Unfortunately for Bas... Ijust don't have time to put in the effort needed to complete him right now. :< (he's wearing Ghaleon's spare hands... which are WAY too small and delicate for him! XD)



Alain was the second attempt at a bjd, long before I'd ever heard of a shiwoo let alone heard rumors of a shiwoo elf. He's about 14in high and made of super sculpey with a paper mache core. He belongs to my mother.



This is Ambrose. He was my 1.5 attempt at a little BJD. My first, Nicodemus, is not shown as he got stepped on recently and I have no older photos of him. Ambrose belongs to my best friend, Kathryn. He's also 14 in high.



This is Bastion #1, also 14in and probably the one I like the best. He won't stand work a darn and his legs are sort of spindly. His coat is fully lined tho, my first attempt at that. I absolutely love how his face turned out. He's grizzled! He's covered in scars and I made him a little sword.

Both actually. :3 I used just round elastic from Joann's... but that's not really strong enough. They're also wired with the super thick kind of floral wire- especially Bas #1 because as I said... he just won't stand up. e_e

 

It's a lot easier when they're really /small/. XD Each boy took me about a month.

awww! thanks! He seems to be everyone's favorite. Especially my mom's. o.o;;

Recently I graduated from college and at my party my mother's friends gathered round my dolls and depanted them one by one. XD My friend's poor 12 year old sister was standing right by them and was completely traumatized!
