    1. A HUGE thank you to everyone who's comments, critiques, links and support has resulted in me finally finishing my 3 year project Alexis Rose. I wouldn't have made it to this point without "my peeps" and their help here on The Joint.....

    3. She is so statuesque, it is hard to believe she is only 38.5cm tall !!!
      Alexis Rose is truly gorgeous. :love
      How many dolls do you plan on pulling from your molds?

      With this successful project completed, do you have any plans for starting a new doll?
      Congratulations on completing such a beautiful work of art.

    4. Thank you so much, it was your links that gave her that final nudge over the finish line :)

      I was thinking 10-15 max before the molds are toast - I hate sanding seams and the best I've managed with this silicone is 12 consecutive pieces before the seams become too prominent.... I don't want her to be pro-cast... I had though I would but I like her just to be what she was supposed to be which is a dolly for me LOL

      Ummm plans.... yeah a male companion for Alexis is roughed out in foam which will probably turn into another 3 year project ;) A slimmer sister for Alexis and maybe a child in the same scale.... Plus I have a platypus in my head that if Sarah (MysticUnicorn) doesnt make one this year I'll try my hands at it LOL gawd so many things to do....... first things first though - I HAVE to get myself some ladoll clay and then some wax.... I am dying to try them out!!! they afford so many more possibilities than apoxy sculpt and polymer clays....

    6. Yes I cast her in a natural toned resin - these are technically her junk molds but I couldn't bring myself to throw them away so in-person she has a bit of dust embedded in places and traces of spray putty but the molds are now clean for other castings and she will always be my #1....

      Thanks for the feedback on the pearls - i wasn't sure if they would come off as sumptuous and a little bit naughty or just tacky LOL

      I think 2 or 3 for me will be enough LOL but yeah - I'll make them available through my website from this Saturday :) I took deposits on two for a couple of friends so I'm casting those now and I'll add to the pics on my site when they are done :)
