NOTE April 24, 2018: I just came back from a long dolly break and I will fix the images in this post, as soon as I find somewhere to host them. I recently noticed other people were receiving their DragonDolls, so I figured mine was on the way as well - and here he is! He should've arrived Monday, but the post sent him to the wrong part of the country. A rather small, light box with my name on it! Any dark blotches in my photos are from my camera - it's got dust inside the lens. Very pretty certificate. Aren't these ribbons supposed to be tied in bows? I can only assume the boy had a panic attack sometime during the flight and tried to escape. Lovely! I have been a bit worried about what his body would look like, as I couldn't find any photos of it before I ordered. I even dreamt that he arrived and had the body of a ragdoll. Phew! His hands are intact. This photo does not show how pretty he really is. His face-up (which was an event gift) is so delicate and he's got cute rosy cheeks (rosy cheeks always get me... lol). Then I found this little goody bag at the bottom of the box - magic eraser, eyes, and eye putty. Here pictured with borrowed eyes and a weird flippy wig (that's my hand in the back holding it down!).
Whoah! He is really cute! His face-up is super nice and he looks so delicate! Congratulations on that beautiful new family member. (Btw those darker smudges aren't dust in the lense, they are dust on the sensor within your camera, I suppose. Just in case you wonder why they don't go away after cleaning the lense. )
@OnlyPaintMode Thank you! He is very delicate, I'm pleasantly surprised. Yeah, it's inside the camera so I can't get to it, and apparently it's expensive to fix?
He is so lovely! Congratulations! :-) That certificate looks absolutely gorgeous too. Prossibly the fanciest I've seen haha! I love how the body looks. How is the posing? I think I might get one myself. I'm a sucker for nicely sculpted and poseable bodies. :-)
Usually not. If you have a DSLR where you can take off the lense, you can carefully clean the sensor all by yourself. There are several cleaning tools - dry or wet - so you can do it yourself. If you are afraid of cleaning it yourself, I'm 100% sure every photo studio or photography shop offers a sensor cleaning. It does not cost your soul, no. Just ask them and they'll do it.
@A S H E R Thank you! He's quite good at posing, I find his arms look a bit too stiff when held straight, they also have these ugly squared elbows (I'm more for aesthetics over posing) but they're good at holding poses. His knees look better - they look single-jointed to a point (like when he sits normally). The torso could benefit from some sueding, but he has one slot front and back so that he can slouch and bend backwards, and he can also bend to the sides. He stands very easily! Probably the best out of all the dolls I've had. @OnlyPaintMode It's not a DSLR unfortunately, that's why I thought it might be expensive if they have to take it apart. I could always go into the shop and ask. Thank you for taking the time trying to help me!
Wow, that body looks really nice. Makes me want to get something from DragonDoll! Congrats on your new kiddo~
Thank you for the review! I did not even notice the elbow at all. Thank you for letting me know! Like you, I'm more of an aesthetics person, but posing is important for me as well. But we unfortunately can't have the best of both worlds yet. His posing range sounds good though, so I might think about getting the body. Thank you again for the review! :-) And congrats on your lovely new boy!
