Adult-like 1/4s?

Sculpts like the ones you described are becoming a lot more popular actually, I think they’re called mature minis. Iplehouse has an FID line that’s their SD sculpts in MSD size. SartoriaJ also has their sd sculpts available as 45 and 51 cm versions. Raccoon doll pretty much exclusively sells mature minis and smaller. Doll noize is an independent artist who also exclusively sells dolls in that 50cm range. And finally even IOS doll opened up their unitot line this past year which sells their 70cm dolls in 40-50 cm form.

 

Conarium Doll, which you can purchase through the dealer New Clover Singing, also has mature minis!

Bumping this to add that Luts also has Model Delf line who (some, not all) are more mature looking.

I would propose you to check Chimera doll and joydolls. The size is 1/4 (43cm more or less, it depends on the feet).
They are mature dolls very well sculpted with realistic features.

I wish there was a 1/4 doll that looked more mature in the face but also could fit slim msd clothes? I used to have a fashion size Arsene that KIND OF fit my minifee's clothing but there were some awkward spots like the shoulders and hips.

 

I'm not sure how mature you are looking for, but MYou dolls have lovely 1/4 sized. I had been looking for a lower priced adult looking doll and they had a lot to choose from in my opinion. I hope you can find a doll you like

 

Dream Valley and Dollzone make more mature 1/4. They have a larger head size than Iplehouse FID or Racoon doll, but slimmer bodies.

 

I also prefer more adult looking 1/4s and tend to gravitate towards Dream Valley personally (I also really like their fantasy sculpts so it works out great). I also like Gem of Doll but I think you might Iplehouse better for what you're looking for. They have an FID line with more mature sculpts and you can actually get a more muscular body if you want. Iplehouse also has decent skin tones to pick from for their FIDs.
