That's a seriously fab wig...

I may have to trek over to Crobi's site and take a look at that one. I can imagine Gaia (my Elf Lishe-) wearing that with her pearls-and-fuzzy-sweater outfit.

 

Whew... is anyone encounter a problem with volks airy wolf brown wig? looks like the wig cap is smaller than any volks wig I have... @_@ only fit with my SDGr boy sized head... not fit with my SD17 boys and SD Girl... @_@;;;

Really? I would think it fits 9-10 size as well because it was modeled on F34

Izam and DarkRu : Sadly, the Airy Wolf Wig is indeed for the smaller Volks SD heads. ^^;; Some like Kujoo can never wear it due to the wider head circumference. >.< I haven't tried it on my SD17 boys yet. But they have rather small heads compared to Kujoo's.

 

Oh I had no idea. Perhaps I didn't really paid attention to the size since I have both slimmer heads and big heads at home so I figured someone can use that wig regardless LOL.

 

Yup... You'll find someone who can wear it, for sure. XD My Tsuyoshi~kun claimed it.

 

Those are some nice wigs, is Volks still making them? I did not see any on their website?

 

The Airy Wolf wig is under the DD section of their international site, I think. I don't know if the USA site has it yet.

Edit: Actually, I can't see it there at the moment. I'm sure it was there the other day.

Yes, it is indeed - some people have gotten theirs shipped earlier than others - so now they're discovering for the rest of us that the wig is smaller & darker than expected.

But it's so cute, I don't care, as long as ONE of my dolls will fit it & get to wear it!

 

Oh no. I was hoping to use the Airy Wolf wig on my Yukinojo... oh well.... I guess Minoru will be getting another wig...

 

Hi everyone! Basically Michele is my dream doll and I'm currently hoping to find one. I was just wondering what bodies are you guys using for yours? Just want to be prepared for when/IF I ever find her. lol.... I know absolutely nothing about Volks or SD size, so I apologize if this is a silly question!

 

So you are hoping to make Michele into a girl? He was released on an SD10 boy body so the head will fit on any of the Volks girl bodies. It's generally only the SD13 boys that can be more awkward to turn into girls because of the larger neck hole.

 

Well... I did a huge test on 20 of my babies using the Airy Wolf Wig. XD Volks and non-Volks alike, most of them can wear it and simply rock it. XD;;;; Sadly, Kujoo's still THE ONLY ONE who can't. And here's a comparison shot between Kujoo and Reisner's heads, so you can see why :



Kujoo has a really REALLY huge top head... (_ _)

One more thing, after the test, I finally caught the exact color of the wig! ^^;;; It turns out with a particular lighting (and skin tone, of course), the wig color comes out on photo. >.< So if you want to see the exact color, here's my tan Chalco with the wig : http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/11286270/img/shinmakoku/wolf-13.jpg

Jenny: Judging from Tsuyoshi Maki's head, yes Maki head is indeed smaller than any SD sized... (similar to SDGr sized head)

Fransyung & Izam: I supposed thats the case... my Williams can't wear it... @_@ well he can, but the style kinda messed up @_@;;;;

Lucyhayashi: well at least he can wear it... but from my experience, I have to stretch it until the limit of wig caps

 

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention I'm planning on making him into a girl. hehe.... Ideally I would like a body that I can get straight from the doll company.. Is it possible to order Volks bodies separate, or has to be second hand? thanks so much for the info!!

 

Volks only sells complete dolls, so it will have to be secondhand. Although sometimes I just buy a whole doll and figure out what to do with the extra head later.

Fran~ Personally, I think your Soom guys look best in the wig!!! Chalco looks dreamy! I am so happy right now because my Ender and Shoshon will look great in it!!!

 

Those who ordered from Japan some have gotten theirs already. So there are some on Y!J and ebay now for sale from those people. Volks USA for SURE will get theirs way after people in Japan (who some are still waiting to get theirs in December)

I figured as much-- the fastest way to make any color look lighter is to put it on a tan doll.
(Aww, my Chalco can't wear short hair, but that is entirely too adorable. ^^)

Three cheers for Fran, having all that patience to try the wig on that many heads! Trying 1 wig on 20 dolls only sounds simple. It is good to see that you can actually get it onto SD17/DD heads; that probably means it can be stretched enough for a Tokyo Boy.

Anyone know if Dollheart shoes for SD13 boys would fit SD13 girls? I'm in love with these and would be perfect for my soldier-girl's dress uniform.

Yes SD10/13/16 (SDGr) are of different height
But they also differ in regards to the body design SDGr is the latest in the line thus has the improved joint designs etc. SD10/13 are the older designs - also they have different chest pieces (mainly the one you order via FCS)....

SD16 looks more mature (originally 10/13/16 are somewhat referring the "age")

This is how I imagine her before she became the 'Annie' that I know her as in my head I can't wait to get her twin! I'm wondering how hard it is to get a Crobidoll body, too... I really like the proportions!

My Joe head from a split came in, and he's on a Crobi body, too (B-line), for the time being -- in the future I'll probably put him on a lankier 70cm. His eyes will also be changed, and better pics taken, but I'm happy to have him home at last, ergo spam!

This cutie arrived during the downtime. He doesn't seem to photograph as well as Soji but he's lovely in person.

 

I'm still waiting for my Hasekura to ship... But then, that's Hadrian for you. The original Castle Falkenstein version of him was never on time for anything in his life (WAY too easily distracted-), so I guess it's only appropriate that the resin version would take his time getting here.
