Hey! I am so flipping excited guys, my Tae arrived today and she is just stunning. She was my dream doll all these years and i kicked myself when I didn't buy her back in 2008/9. I haven't been this excited to bring home a doll in about 2 years.
She needs new eyes and wig and clothes, the poor thing got thrown in hand me downs (I hate the default outfit). However, I really love her default faceup! I didn't think it was anything special from the promo pics, and I'm glad I don't need to rush to change it.

Wow! She's beautiful!! Anais/Tae has always been one of my fave girls. I really have no idea why I don't own one!

 

She's so pretty! It just makes me more excited to get my own. Is that her default wig? Congrats on getting her home!

That is her default wig, but my 4 year old got a little excited about the hair and the half pony needed to come out
It's really not a big deal, I'll put it back in later. ^_^

She's gorgeous, Tetradeka!! I've never paid a lot of attention to this mold in the past but my mind has been changed. I think Volks did a lovely job on her face up. She's very sweet.

 

Tetradeka:OMG! she is much cuter than I had imagined! wow! makes me regret not getting one!

On another note, I got my FCS that I made at the Volks Tea Party! she is soo cute! I should take some pics this weekend.

I just got my shipping notice the other day for my FCS from Volks! Crossing my fingers she's here on Friday (and that she slips by customs … haha)!

 

InvisibleWings, your post prompted me to check the mail. My headplate arrived as well! The calligraphy on the envelope was a really nice touch. My Michele should be home tomorrow. I should gathering all the goodies I want to try on him.

I expect there are going to be a lot of pictures like this one on the thread in the next few days... It sounds like a lot of us have (or are soon expecting to have-) our hands on new arrivals. ^_^

This guy has been a long, long time coming. Alain was one of those sculpts I tried for several different times, but just never managed to get. 'Guess I was unconsciously saving up all my luck to snag him as a One-Off.

Anyway, Ceredyn may have taken his own sweet time getting here but I forgive him.



The huntsman of the Summer Court isn't exactly the kind of faerie who'll get in a hurry just because some silly human wanted him to.

(The original, tabletop RPG version of Ceredyn was a Sidhe knight from White Wolf's Changeling: the Dreaming. He was always a stubborn thing. I'll be keeping the wine red hair color for him, but that wig reminded me very quickly why I don't like Volks' wigs. Also, the shoes they sent him with? They have to be made for Gru feet. I swear they'd fit my EIDs... On an SD17, they look like clown shoes. o_0

OMG, Brightfires! He's awesome! Typical Volks photos did not do him justice at all. Congratulations!!

I got my Tae on Monday, but just today found a bit of time for her. We came to say 'Hi' to everyone ^^

 

Tetradeka, she's so exquisite! Her face up os amazing and she has such a coy look about it. I'm jealous. Must now try to save up for one hehe.

I've literally tried on every single wig in the house for my Tae, and nothing is speaking to me. Time for wig shopping!

My own one-off Michele, Buttercup, arrived today. I posted a box opening. ^_^ I don't usually do crazy box openings or videos, but when I do it is for a really special doll. Immediately after opening, I stuck him in the freezer and started to wrestle his default eyes out. There is still some glue in his head, but here he is pictured with some ED Milky #48's and a Leeke premium mohair wig (which is a lot like Jpop's regular fibers).

His head is so much smaller than I thought it would be from photos. I thought it would be huge like Kun, but it isn't. It is an odd 8/9 like my old Unidoll limiteds.

 

Congratulations to everyone who brought home a One-off! WOW!!! They're all gorgeous! I couldn't pick a favourite. Thanks for sharing photos everyone!! For some reason I thought these guys had already arrived home. It seems like the draw was so long ago. haha

@ FunnyLori, I've always used the Volks scalpel method dipped in a little bit of thinner. Never damaged a face up yet and the glue just pops right out like magic. I take some paper towel after and gently wipe the inside eye well to take out any possible excess. Works like a charm for me.

Congratulations to all the one-off winners and to everyone posting photos of their Volks! Our Suigintou arrived today, and I managed to get one in-focus picture of her. She came with "Tae" orginal wig, and it was not easy to get on, reallly tight and I don't have any wig holder to keep it from popping off. Face-up is by Ciera and I expect to keep her default eyes, but I will have to go wig hunting in my wig stash for a better fitting wig.

He has on a different wig now, and I'm debating getting him a pair of slightly darker brown eyes, but for the moment he's still in his defaults.

Lisianthus -- How interesting that your Suigintou came with a Tae wig. Lieselotte came with a "Kurumi-styled" wig. :P

Oh, when I picked up Lieselotte from the Volks USA office, Hideyoshi Shigeta mentioned that he carefully chose these One-Offs for the web event and made sure they didn't end up at another Volks store. He was also proud and happy that many people entered the One-Off lottery, making it more successful than they expected. Go us!

Congrats to everyone welcoming home dolls! It's so much fun to see everyone's gorgeous creations and new additions to dolls families. My Bianka came home the other day and I thought I would share a pic of her here. My camera doesn't even begin to capture all the detail in her face-up. She's got the best face up I have ever seen- only Una has come close. she has darling lip lines and really detailed eyebrows. Maybe someday when I acquire a better camera and some decent photography skills I'll be able to share those specifically.

She's beautiful, Nakita! She looks like she has dark enough eyebrows that she could pull off a darker wig too if you ever wanted. I was curious what they were like under those bangs, couldn't tell at all in Volks' pics.

Yea, I'm really loving the Tae's too. I think the Graffitti body really changes her overall look. She's so thoughtful and beautiful.
