I'm pretty excited to be "officially" part of this thread now that Ivan is finally travelling in the states T__T. I do hope he gets here by the end of the week, though!

But, hello! I've badly wanted to own a Switch ever since I laid my eyes on the Detective of Destiny boys! My grail is Seolrok, and I'm happy to say he's my first doll from them! I want to get him the HD65 body sometime this year. (Not only does it look nice, but I really like the manual, hahaha) But for now, he'll be sharing a body with my SDF boy. I hope I can post more when he's here!

@Calfuray Congratulations on your Waseon! He's also one of my favorites *__* Do let us know how the Rosy White color looks in person!

On the talk of Waseon, I do hope they rerelease Mocha Waseon sometime again. I adore Switch's Mocha Brown resin, and Waseon is also my favorite, but hnnn I can't really afford to have him anyway (at least for this year)

I feel the same way about mocha Ryun. I have a normal skin one but if I see a mocha one, I'm dead!

 

@mionnaise Hi dear congrats! You do lovely face ups so it'll be exciting to see how you will paint your boy I love Seolrok and I'm thinking of getting a Waseon again so I know the feeling. Once you get one it seems odd not to get the other huh? XD

 

Has anyone else checked their email from Switch? Are they having a photo contest??

 

@Buckybear yep! They're also seemingly doing an auction and a Alice themed riddle game. I'll probably enter that one as I don't photograph well enough for a contest QAQ And I love riddles

@AnnoDomini oh my god i really.... i want to get all the hands and feet choices for my Ryun The only thing I'm dreading is the shipping...

I hope we can find a korean or japanese version of the text because the english in the email really didn't make any sense to me either... At first I thought it was any switch doll then I thought it had to be Milhwa... but i'm not sure...

 

I want to join the riddle part of the event, but I suck at them. And you have to solve the riddle if you want to purchase event items (from what I understood in the e-mail.)

 

yes.. but I'm thinking, @FiftyPills , that if they have to be solved to purchase the goods that they can't be that difficult! Plus you could always consult us for answers?

ok from what I understood on their page, you can use ANY switch doll you want to make a story (words are optional) but that your entry can only be one JPG total... I guess it's time to brainstorm! We only have till the 22nd to enter I think ......

 

I think that the riddle probably won't be too hard either. Since it would be unfair to not allow customers to buy based on not solving it.
I asked Switch about the story part I'm confused on. I'll see what their reply is

Could anyone explain how the point system works with switch ? Such as 1 point = ?
I tried to find some info but ended empty hand.

I haven´t been looking at switch dolls for some time but I feel like owning one more of their gorgeous heads. Maybe Seoha, or Waseon.

 

I think every denomination of ten gets you a small point. So if you order a $105 item, you get $1.05. If you order $500, you get $5. Once you are ready to order something you can look at how many points you've accumulated and it will take off that monetary discount. Once I racked up $13 worth of points so I got that much off of my last order

 

Does anyone know if Seolrok will ever be re-released?

 

@orangetarts I'm sure he will. But unfortunately we never know when :/
Just look out for them in their Instagram and twitter pages for updates

 

AnnoDomini : So you´re telling me if you have 10 points, it´s $10 discount ? That can´t be it O.o
They gave 5000 points to all finalist in their photo contest :
"We will save 5,000points which can be available in SWITCH to all winners in May 25th, 2016"
I am one of those finalist and I am wondering how much discount I earn with those points.

 

Yes, I think so. Sometimes Switch make limited dolls, not a long time ago it was Seolrok, I think he will be released in a different skin again.

 

@Sjota Congrats!! Your photography is gorgeous! I believe that would be $50 worth, giving you 50 discount. It will tell you the monetary denomination when you check out with said products

 

Thanks! I really found myself falling in love with him but I noticed that he was not available for the monthly release.
Hopefully they re-release him in that beautiful mocha brown skin *^*

I think it is $50 as well or maybe they have some kind of maximum point to be use for a purchase (such as 50 points). I´ll check at next sale opening.

orangetarts: Switch bring as well random heads during doll festivals, if you know someone that can purchase one for you during the event.

Have you guys seen the new body? It's slimmer than the regular body and seems to pose really well (from the pictures posted). I'll definitely get it for my rosy white Waseon

 

I didn't see the photos either but congrats to sjota! Is the new body slimmer? I didn't notice the differences perhaps I didn't look closer.

 

Yes, if you compare the two bodies it is noticeable - like the legs for instance

Edit: I checked again and I think it looks like it's slimmer, but the measurements say it's the same, so I guess I was wrong

I still like it better than the regular body though

 

Hello there, popping in as I am not super familiar with Switch dolls and their random/monthly release schedule, but I won a gift certificate from Switch at a recent convention I attended so I am a new convert. In terms of the point discussion - the certificate was for $100 so they gave me 100 points. The points do seem to be 1=$1 so if winners in this photo contest you speak of got 5k points, I definitely need to enter future contests! XD

 

SporeXP: I have 5000 points in my account. I tried to place an order and you are right 1 point = $1
I contacted Switch regarding this because there must be a mistake and it´s sad to see them loose so much money on their hard work !

Congrats @Sjota I love your Soseo! He reminds me a lot of mine since I think they are both painted by AngelToast?
They could be brothers anyway I think it's the lip beauty mark hehe. Anyway congrats again!!

Our boys are a bit different (Axel looks like a lost puppy most of the time) but your Soseo really look like Axel´s twin brother, they are almost identical ^^"

Anyone else REALLY like blank switch heads? I'm planning on redoing the faceup on my Ajeong but I don't know if I can because he's just so beautiful.

SporeX: Switch replied to me, they made a mistake translating korean points to english points.
Ravenwolf: That´s true, Angeltoast know how to embellish Switch dolls. I am thinking of sending her my winning doll. After all it´s as well thanks to her beautiful face-up ;D
Loeki: It might, maybe Switch will keep rosy white and natural skin as monthly choice and other color for event ?

I am planning to get those new hands and feet too. I just hope mocha skin will be available T_T

I see on Switch website that it takes 60 business day for the orders to be sent. Is that correct or are they usually early/late ?

 

@Sjota I think that their dates are pretty accurate! And they send a news update when they ship them all out ^^

 

Has anyone been able to solve the Bahm riddle?

 

@FiftyPills : Yes it is really easy. You have to find the sculpt name with the small image they give you. Just be carefull to write the sculpt name exactly like on Switch site. It starts with TAEHEO for exemple, not Taeheo. If you can't find you can as well see the name by checking the image history xD. Good Luck !

 

Switch's dolls are so beautiful. If only they had more options for monthly sculpts, though. ;-;

 

@Selenae I know what you, mean. Hopefully they'll introduce more. Don't get me wrong I love the current ones but there's always room for more.

It's hard always perusing the second hand market for them.

 

I hope so, too! I really regret selling my Aejong Closer Ver., especially now that I realize he'd be prefect for a character I'm working on. But, oh well. I love, love, looooove the 65 body's hands and feet. Hngngng.

That's enough for me to overlook the fact they only offer 3-piece torsos, which I am not fond of. xD I'm secretly hoping by the time I have enough money saved up SWITCH will be close to their anniversary or something.

 

@Selenae Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. I've seen a couple FS pretty recently if you have available funds. I hate when that happens
I like the tip toe feet and hand parts, I wish they were available always. Also for HD60 boys too.
