Jeez, another Seolrok release? That's pretty crazy since it's been his third and it hasn't even been a year yet. LOL

 

Ooooh, more wigs! Maybe I stand a chance this time. XD

Seolrok is delightful, and I can totally see him being popular enough to merit multiple releases. Seowo is fantastic too!

Am I the only one who keeps going back to stare wistfully at Haji's page? I know we probably have another month of waiting for them to come in, but I can't wait for mine to be here.

 

The new wigs and colors look absolutely beautiful ;;v;; But I could never in my life buy wigs and pay for EMS just for them OTL Seems kind of a waste to spend money on shipping that equals one more wig...

 

Oh my goodness, Seolrok is a cutie patootie XD Ahhhhh man whaaaaaaaaat is this Switch nonsense, man. Man.

 

I understand what you mean but it happens so often in this hobby especially when their wigs are so hard to buy =(

 

I this the first time Seowo has been for sale from the switch site! I think the was the special at a doll show/fest. He is definitely interesting Why do you think you can't get the head only?

 

Yea but most companies release them in big quantities or limited time so it's easy to make a Group Order... u.u Oh well...maybe next time I buy from Switch and they release a wig >3<

 

@ Rohava: My guess is. . . to control the quantity of what they think they'll be expecting when the preorders come up. Quality and maybe more profitable? As much as people love the head, people may not want the full doll due to price, shipping costs, etc., so by forcing people to order the full doll, they'll--I don't think I'm using the right / good word for this, but--targeting those who are interested vs. those who REALLY want them bad.

 

I am so tempted by Seolrok, but I still have a blank Waseon head staring begrudgingly at me. So many lovelies and the wallet is crying...Any one painted their Waseon and care to share pictures of him/her?

Group order for Switch items? It is not possible because they have small quantities. You have to grab them fast and check out right away as soon as it is released. You can do that with larger companies like Luts and Crobidoll but not SWITCH.

 

Didn't they have like a 'holding' system? Atleast they used to. You could buy and pay for something and then have them hold it for you for future shipment with other products.

Edit: oof just read the faq about it, apparently it's only to be combined with items that have already a set release date

Edit2: I wonder if it's possible to request shipping with someone else's order? For dolls I know it's not, but wig maybe? Might be worth going to the Q/A for.

^ask them to ship your order with someone else's? That is something I've never heard of a doll company doing. What a weird request. I don't think they will do that. I mean they put limit on quantity of items you can buy for each item (example, 4 wigs per person, 2 heads per person), so I don't see how a group order can work unless it's like only very few items in that order and that everyone can get everything they want (which is unlikely). The hold system only works if you can even get the items in your cart and check out with all of them and that you pay on time.

 

Yes, exactly what I said... That with other companies in the hobby, you can do it because they have big quantities or their wigs are limited by time (like Leeke)

 

I only thought of that because I know they can be really reasonable; I've made weirder requests in the past.

Oh well, atleast there's large quantities available in each convention they go to, that's how we managed a 'group order' last year..

which makes me wonder if they managed to get a booth from Ldoll before they sold out :/

Even though I'm a tad bit disappointed that I wont get the gorgeous promo face-up, I'll have to suck it up and either accept the face-up she comes with or redo it. Hopefully I'll love it when it comes anyway, even though it might clash with the style of clothing she will be wearing.

 

@ AnnoDomini: If your orders haven't been shipped out yet, you can definitely combine them. That's what I did when I had ordered a Huisa from their Symphony sale and then ordered Seolrok from his first release.

 

SeventhShadow: will yours be a girl or boy? I think the option face up is super cute and androgynous, but it's especially nice for a boyish look. :3 I'm painting mine since she'll be a bit of a glamour girl.

AnnoDomini: they should let you combine. They've always been cool about that.

I heard that switch will release seowo soon.I like seowo very much but since they only sell the full set (head&body) ,I don't have enough money to afford one.I hope one day they can release seowo's head for people to choose.

 

I am seriously considering Seolrok XD Which is, uh, bad, since I just got a doll from them XD But I do have the funds from fortuitously selling other dolls recently @__@ He's just... He's just so adorable.

Is anyone else thinking of grabbing a guy? Most of the chat seems to be wig related.

I wonder if they could send two chaps together? The shipping fee was quite high for a doll. I suppose you would message them between making the order and sending payment?

EDIT: Oh you guys were talking about sending dolls together! I will ask Switch now, I am happy to hear that they will probably accommodate us

 

The wigs this time around don't interest me too much, so I'm saved. lol Out of the three boys though (and other than Seolrok since I already have that sculpt), I do like Sohwa! I don't really like him THAT much to buy him as a complete doll though, haha.

Anyway, I need to save my funds for face-ups on my Seolrok and Waseon soon--! And well, a body for my Waseon too, heh. ^^;

 

I love the wigs, but with only one boy at home with a big enough head for them ;,; All my MSDs need new wigs too, there are a billion of them after all @,@ The Pie Cut is seriously adorable, and the wider and wider range of colors they are providing to us over time is getting more exciting, I guess I will have to hope for 7-8 to happen at some point too (though thats prolly gonna be a click-war and a half&#8230.

 

Wow I couldn't check out with any wigs even though I kept putting them in my cart. If one item was not available as I try to check out they empty my entire cart and I have to start all over again so I couldn't buy a thing. I don't remember their cart doing this to me in the past. I do not know if it was because I always managed to check out before any of the items in my cart was sold out so it didn't do that to me before or what. I am a little confused ^^

I just decided to order my very first SWITCH boy in their 4th Anniversary event. He's SOLROK!! Then a lot of questions come in to my head and I would appreciate if someone could help find out the answer for the following SWITCH newbie questions.

1. Clothes and Shoes recommendations for SWITCH 65 Humming dolly body.
2. Does the SWITCH 65 boy body fits with Volks SD17 Boy clothes and shoes?
3. How long does the company normally take for the production of the doll (with face up) until it get shipped.

Thank you in advance for your help answering my newbie questions and I am so excited in awaiting him to get home so soon

 

@peck30 Welcome to Switch, peck. I know you well in the Supia thread and really like your girls. Well, to answer your question, the HD65 body is very similar to SD17. So, the SD17 clothes should fit as for the faceup part, I wouldn't know since I ordered mine without it.

 

Wow I totally missed out on the 4th anniversary sale XD does anyone know how many of each doll they released in the end?

rianne, it's going to be a super feminine girl. So the promo face-up would have worked better. But hopefully the regular works for all the lolita, tudor and other kind of dresses I will sew for her^^!

Ahhh so I guess Seolrok will be joining MB Sohwa I'm not sure I'll know what to do with this sudden influx of resin dudes.

Did anyone pick up one of the other two boys? All three sculpts are lovely. Congrats to everyone who managed to win the click wars! I actually had my cart emptied the first time I tried to get Seolrok, I was like whaaaaaaaaaat, but it went through the second time

I finally got my Seolrok, even though it's through MP, but that's not the point. Congrats to those to got their boys. I have MB Sohwa on the way so I'm on a pretty tight budget and can't afford another full doll at the moment. at least I have the head already. Now, I'm just worried that the HD65 body will have different resin colour.

Volks SD17 clothes fit very well I also like SD17 clothes from Vier4D, Ardeurdelamour, Tata's Paradise, Dollheart or 65cm clothing. Rrabbit has SD13 clothes which are vey nice and Shirts fit SD17 but sleeve are short.
Normal production is 55 days plus extra for makeup usually.

 

Big thanks for your help, Rohava. I have some Volks SD17 clothes and shoes of my former resin boys at home and I am glad to know that they would fit with the new coming boy from Switch^^

 

By the way, do anyone have any helpful knowledge/advice/threads about hybridizing switch heads?

SeventhShadow: I'm sure she'll be super cute. :3 SWITCH is super easy to hybrid. As long as you stick with standard size folks-matching bodies, you'll be fine. In particular, I think AprilStory has extended their sale, so that might be a good option if you're looking from something right now.

Rianne, those are beautiful eyes! What kind are they? Mel's Vings eyes came in today, but the weather is a bit gloomy for pictures I'm hoping to get some this weekend.

 

There were so many great releases recently, I'm looking forward to the upcoming flood of handsome boys!

I kinda wish I'd been able to go for MB Sohwa, but the timing was bad, and also I think I'd like to hold out for Seolrok to be released in that lovely mocha skin.

Speaking of Seolrok, I finally decided to wipe my boy and try again this past weekend! However, when I went to coat him after doing the acrylics for his eyebrows and eyeliner/eyelashes, my can of ZM spray decided to quit on me! It wasn't empty, just clogged or something. Now I'm out of town for work, so he'll have to wait until I get back and figure something out.

rianne - Your boy looks great! No complaints from me about his shirt allergy!

And my Seolrok (finally) and my Waseon will soon be sent off to the face-up artist. Ah, I already can't wait to imagine what they're going to look like once they're finished. * A * Gotta get myself a Humming Dolly 65 body as well. . .

Also, while I'm on SWITCH, three of their wigs are on sale right now. . . ? Or is this just an error? o__o
