[Adopted] ~SWITCH Discussion- Part 4~

I wanted a Chocolate Cut for a long time, but I'd given up hope of ever getting one and found a suitable alternative on Etsy instead...oh well! Hope everyone else who wants one manages to snag one. It's such a nice style!

 

The chocolate cut is very cute ;3; but I have to say the Macaron cut is my favorite.

i have to ask, would anyone be interested in me opening a switch waiting room?

 

I think there IS a SWITCH waiting room thread, but it's pretty inactive. lol I think most people just come here instead.

 

Oh my, so they did push back the ordering date! I was all psyched, so I'm a little disoriented now, but I hope the delay can help some people amass the funds on the thread here

 

I'm a bit torn on the delay of release for Sohwa. On one hand more time to get funds together (yay!) but on the other 5 more days to worry about if I'll be able to snag one fast enough ( D8 ). Does anyone remember how fast the other mocha boys have gone?

 

Looks like Switch changed the date again. Now it's on May 14

 

Maybe a lot of people were inquiring about Sohwa? But, it still doesn't change the limited quantity of 50. Hmm.

 

It did used to say that it was limited to 2 dolls per person, now it says only 1 doll per person also

 

hnnnnnn, I NEED a Millefeuille-cut for my Taeheo I think. May have to grab the the chocolate cut in the new peach shade too.

I wonder if the delay has more to do with recent disasters and such... I hope they're not too overwhelmed.

Does Switch have separate sale period for their Korean and English sites? The MB Sohwa on their Korean site is already sold out and the sale period is on May 12...I wonder if I could have snatched him on the Korean site instead.

 

Yes I believe so Makkaon, as in the past most events have first taken place on the Korean site and then later on international. :[ but I wish you the best of luck on the 14th! Tape your index finger to the mouse, and prepare for a battle... Dun dun duuhh

I think the promo face-up is of their own personal doll so I can understand that they wouldn't offer the same thing for optional face-up. If a face-up artist that I am commissioning has a Milhwa of her own, I sure wouldn't ask a her to paint my Milhwa to look just like hers. It would be rude in my opinion, no? If I am the artist I wouldn't accept such commission either I don't think. Anyways, I love SWITCH wigs and I really like the new color choices. I look forward to the wigs re-release.

 

Hi, just wondering if anyone is having problems logging into switch website? wondering if it is my password i got wrong (i already tried the password search) but still can't log in. Tried to make a new username and can't either.

 

well, I'm stuck at work until 4 in the evening and the computer they have wouldn't let me go to Switch's english web. So, either I'll miss the sale or I have to borrow someone's smart phone since I don't have any phone.

Those wigs sold out too fast and it didn't help that my cart kept emptying out every time I added the third, specific wig to the cart. Oh well. I was hoping to get a wig for my Waseon, but now I REALLY have to find someplace that sells 8-9 wigs (other than Leekeworld). orz|||

I wish SWITCH would stop making 8-9 heads. . . lol

 

^ I have recently gotten addicted to Dollheart wigs.. They are so soft TvT ! But Crobidoll's 9-10 is good with an elastic cap thingimajig.

Meanwhile I've been doing a lil switcharoo with a local girl, and will be getting her beautiful NS Shiho in exchange for an unoa that was floating about here without a purpose.
Now ofcourse I wonder, what will I do with two Shihos... But... She will be my WS-rehab I guess, while waiting for Haji xD;

I can't believe all the wigs are gone!! I tried to checkout 4 times and it kept saying my cart was empty, but I finally managed a chocolate cut. I wish I got a millefeuille cut but I missed those. There are still MB Sohwa left!!! oh I want one!

 

It seems that from the comments Switch's wigs are really good. I don't own one, but could anyone that do own them tell me what you think about the wig? Is it the style that you like or the quality of it? Or is it both?

 

^ I love the quality, I've had zero problems with wigcaps showing or such and there are nice styles to choose from. They are easy to style yourself too! The only downside is how darn hard they are to get a hold of sometimes >.<

 

Oh man I didn't know the wigs were released also so I didn't even get to try to buy them. Their wigs are great especially for SWITCH heads because their heads are hard to find the right wigs for.

O_O Well then I might have problem looking for the right wigs for my Switch boys at home. Anyway, I went back to their site and saw Sohwa was available, needless to say I snatch him as quick as possible. I thought he was gone for sure since earlier he was sold out. Looks like it's my lucky day Does anyone know why they keep putting the "sold out" label up and then have him available again?

 

It may be because someone has pressed 'buy it now' but then has gone out of their shopping window. It automaticly clears your basket then.

@ Makkaon: SWITCH wigs are nice! Great quality and their sizing is pretty exact.

 

The thing was, I was trying to buy on my phone. First time trying and probably wasn't the best opportunity to try. Only one of the three wigs I wanted after the first 10 minutes of the sale starting was in stock so I decided against buying anything. XD I guess it was a sign.

 

I think other people checking out was stealing the stock items in my cart all because I couldn't't check out fast enough! The sugar blacks sold in 9 minutes and the m. cuts in 12 minutes

 

All switch wigs are great! I just hope I ordered the right size, the size M seemed kind of tight last time so it's a L this time around.

 

I just can't agree more!Yesterday,the wigs sold out very quickly that I failed to buy even one wig.And most of the switch new heads are smaller than former heads that make it very hard to buy a fitted wig.

 

I got a confirmation e-mail and the payment went through so it's safe to say I got a MB Sohwa! I was really worried about running into trouble paying via Paypal as that's happened to me with another company and I've heard there have been similar problems with Switch so I was so happy when it worked. I've been trying to shell the character Sohwa is going to be for a couple of years, including ordering a doll for him and not being able to pay due to the PP issues. He'll be my first Switch boy and I am so excited. *__*

I thought about attempting a wig after Sohwa was ordered but decided against attempting that. It's crazy to hear how fast they sold out. I hope Switch has a healthy supply of wigs at Dollism as I'd love to try to get a few someday.

 

I missed out on wigs too! It seems to get crazier with every release at SWITCH...

So happy for the people who grabbed Sohwa though (especially you, bronzephoenix ).

 

Congrats! Maybe I'll get to see him sometime! Hopefully they bring tons of wigs to Dollism and some of the hard to find heads

Wow my wig has shipped already!! Yay!

 

My Ryun got home from his faceup! I'm really happy with how he turned out Unfortunately his face mask rubbed a bit of MSC off the tip of his nose. I sprayed it with a little MSC, which I'm hoping will keep it from peeling...it's such a nice faceup! I can't wait until I have time to take proper pictures of him.

I was wondering which wig size I should pick for my Ryun:R since on the SWITCH website it's written 9" for his head circumference. 8/9" or 9/10", which one is better ??

Aww, thanks annodomini. I think my wallet is happy I missed out haha.

ninapun: depends on which fit you like. If you want the wig to be snug, go with 8-9. If you want room for a wig cap or just like a fuller look, go with 9-10. Hope that helps.

NinaPun, my Ryun is wearing a 9-10 with a wig cap underneath and it's a perfect fit. Not super snug, but it definitely won't fall off.

I took a quick pic of Mel from the meet today. His urethanes are on the way, and I'm thinking of getting him a longer wig, but it's so nice to have him complete!

Wow, another Sohwa release and this time it's NS in full body. Too bad I can't afford him now since I ordered the MB version recently. Hope there will be another event where I can just get the head

 

Augh, a Seolrok release! I think I'm going to stick to my guns and hold out hope for an MB Seolrok, someday. Seowo is very handsome!

 

Oh gosh, another release. Switch is really trying to get my money - I barely resisted the last MB boy! But that Seowo is really calling my name...
