Unfortunately, I'm unable to help with the length as I have the double jointed, but I have to agree time to wake up the thread (for me especially as I've been lurking too much and not posting! tsk tsk)
Last week I was looking as Supiadoll again and I've fallen head over heels for Heeji... I'd love to have her on the new body but the 65cm is making me feel hesitant. I assume it's too early after its release to ask for owner pictures of it?
She'd make the perfect GF for my Dia but I'd wanted them to be different heights. What to do, what to do..

 

I can measure the single jointed body tonight.

 

I get 14.25 inches from the front waist to the floor with the flat feet.

So that sounds perfect for the Hakama I just got for my daughter's Eunice! Maybe slightly short, but maybe I can lower the hem, or leave it, as then you can see the feet, which I might wrap up with gauze LOL. Either way, at least she'll have something to wear until I can make other things, LOL

@Kentarin D'Ley I have the dreaming Rosy and 65cm body coming, some time at the end of the month and I think someone else has one incoming mid month. I hope we'll see owner pictures soon!!!

Yes, I was thinking that as well. It's only a cm though, so not that big a deal, LOL. The Hakama is supposed to be loose and hide the fighter's movements, LOL. I think she'll be pleased (except I got her a girly one, LOL)

 

I'm pretty excited, I decided to take advantage of the 10% off + free shipping event and ordered Heeji. Her face is so adorable and even though I'm not sure how often I'll actually switch them around, I like having the ear and tongue/teeth options.

Oh tell me about it, @scoodie . I didn't realize when doing layaway, that they don't start your doll until you finish paying the layaway off, so I ordered last August /September on Layaway, got it paid off in November, and they said it might be finished at the end of this month. This particular order has been killing me! Especially since this particular order has a doll for my daughter in it!

 

Hi everyone! I just started a layaway for a Supia Lina on the double jointed 60cm body in light tan. I couldn't pass up the 10% + free shipping event. She will be my first doll larger than a YOSD since I sold one in 2013 or so. Lina has been on my wishlist for over 2 years now, so I'm so excited to finally order her and join you guys in this thread.

Hey folks! Does anyone know the measurements of Supia girls? I'm considering purchasing a used body off someone -- I think it's the 60cm with the hip joint -- but I can't find measurements anywhere! I've got a kind of a big head I'm trying to fit on it -- originally intended for a male SD, I believe, with a neckhole around 9.5 cm ...

 

The measurements are at the bottom of this page: LOVE, SUPIADOLL Just choose the double jointed body. That's strange that they put the double jointedbody in again in another spot!

Thank you @IngieBee I checked this thread before ordering to make sure how their procedures are with layaway, so I was definitely aware, I wasn't going to risk being sad finding out later because I didn't check before I'm not planning to make use of the full three months anyway, I hope to have her paid off in a month or so!

Are there any Haeun owners out there who can help me with eye size? I prefer a smaller iris on my dolls, so I was considering 12mm, but if they leave considerable gaps I might go for 14mm with a custom iris.

 

You know. I think I ordered during an event and free shipping, and that may actually have made it worthwhile I just really want my dollies, LOL

My Supia 65cm girl body arrived
TBH I placed my order close to the end of their promo because I was hoping the free limited Rosy head wouldn't apply to the order because I already have enough floating heads at home, but I ended up getting one (it's a nice sculpt, don't get me wrong, I'm sure she'll find a place).

Anyway, here's some quick horrible pictures with some floating heads:

 

Ahhh congrats on getting it home!!! Your photos make me want to buy even more heads.... Supia dolls are so beautiful. Would love to see some photos of the body Do you have the 60cm body is well for some comparison photos? I'm still torn as to whether i get the 60cm or 65cm body :/

 

Oh so awesome! Can you say what you think about it? Or perhaps you have not played with it enough yet? I think the bigger and heavier the doll, the tougher it is to pose in general, so sometimes it takes a little longer to get a feel for them? At least that's how it feels for me, as I only got my first SD size doll about 5 months ago, LOL. Anyway, congratulations! I'm dying to see more pictures!!!! By the way, who is the face on the end??

@satyrsmoon What's your feeling toward this 65cm body? The shoulders look really nice, but does the body poses well? Anyway, congrats for you new girl!

 

I was worried that the shoulder caps wouldn't stay lined up correctly so I'm curious to know if you had to fiddle with them or if they just stay in the right spot? If they stay correctly oriented, that's quite amazing, and I'd be super happy Ugh, I want my dolls!!! LOL

Thanks Ah tbh I don't really pose my dolls (basically if they can stand and look pretty, I'm happy haha). I'll try to get some posing pictures hopefully this weekend. Switch Doha is the head at the end.

@satyrsmoon , looking so forward to more info and pictures! Your Doha looks like she matches perfectly! I know the difficulties with those floating heads. I'm suddenly reminded of the witch who stole and collected all the heads in "return to oz" LOL.

As the picture says (since I already deleted it on my phone and don't wanna find it again for a new pic lol) has this happened to any of your dolls? Or should I say, have any of your Supia girls come with ears this thin? I compared them to my Supia Nael's ears and they don't look like this. But both heads are from different years, I think.

Not that I've seen on mine and I bought a set of human ears for Maia/Muse (I bought her second hand and she didn't come with human ears) when I got Zenka/Jacob last year. But I didn't check closely to see if they had this problem, so when I get home I'll take a look at them. Thanks for sharing.

 

@GoodbyeYouHelloMe Gosh, is that from a recent doll you got? It looks like it's so thin that the battery could fall off? I don't have our dolls yet, but all of them come with the switch out ears, I think... so I'll report in March when they should arrive. Actually, does dreaming Rosy come with elf ears? I don't even know!?! No, I just looked, Rosy is always a human

 

...I for one am very happy that Rosy comes with fixed ears - I really don't like the fact that a doll's ears might pop off! Not a fan of magnetic bits in general, I'm too afraid to lose them...

Here is Ragnell, my Rosy, with her husband Gawain. She is five, six years old now? and I think she must still be as white as the day she arrived. I have difficulty photographing her because her face always looks washed out, but today it worked out rather well .

 

I think their a beautiful couple and look very comfortable together. I hope my Maia's (Muse) normal skin holds up over time as well as your Rosy's white . I found the best way to deal with the ear problem was to decide which ears I liked on her the most and Elmer's glue them in (I didn't want to use super glue, that would be more permanent or may damage the doll getting them back off) That way they stay put until I want to change them and I still have the option of what character I want her to be. I see your point tho', a lot less hassle for sure, but if you ever decide your girl wants Supia sisters or friends at least it's an option that would help in ear loss

 

@Sigune that is a really lovely picture together I find it hard, so I know you got talent when you can make such a thing look natural

I was wondering if you've had a chance to play with your doll body a little more, and what you think of it @satyrsmoon? You're the only person I know who has received theirs I hope this weekend allowed you to try things out!!! And I'm dying to see more pictures, LOL. Thanks!

 

@IngieBee I'm pretty sure that there are differences between Lana and Lina, but they are quite similar. I think Lana has more round, bigger eyes and a more pouty mouth, while Lina has a little bit more of a smily mouth

 

I guess that not many people have Lana. I can't seem to find owner pictures And I'm horrible at finding written things for some reason, and I couldn't find Lina's name under the pictures until just now, LOL

Hi all, newbie here, hope its okay to chip in! I'm still waiting my first doll, an original tan Muriel, and its been nearly 6 months (but I did order through a dealer which seems to always take longer from what I've read).... Supia says that she's made and should have been sent out late Jan, but nothing yet :'( Sadly I think I'm more annoyed that I missed the deadline for extra tan parts as I wanted to get some heeled feet, but I will probably end up getting the light tan and airbrush them as necessary - the main priority is getting her home first!

The wait is killing me, anyone else in the same position?? I've ordered so much fabric and sewing supplies for all the outfits I want to make for her, and it's getting tough seeing that lonely pile of craft supplies every day lol. Does anyone else here have the Muriel? I'm starved for owner pictures!

If the WS is any indication, Maia's resin should be very stable! I thought my Rosy would be creamy by now... Also, with Muse I can certainly see the appeal of elf ears, she has such a sweet, elf-like face!

Thank you so much! Truth to tell, they are pretty much holding each other up and they both have knees that buckle easily (I think a tightening of some elastics is in order ). I was worried throughout that they would jointly collapse on me! But so long as the camera doesn't show that...

@Howlisher that's disturbing, it only takes a few days for a doll to arrive normally... well at least in the USA. Have you contacted the dealer you bought from? I hope you've gotten more word by now!

Yes, Supia has several dealers listed in their news section- I don't want to name which one I have used yet because I want to save my feedback once my doll is here safe and sound, but I can say that I think they have been very patient putting up with my constant messages!

Supia seems to have been behind with their orders for the dealer due to production delays... And I have seen messages on these forums saying that the tan colour tends to have longer production times aswell. The last I heard was that my Muriel would be posted the week of 22nd Jan after shipping was arranged, but nothing further as of yet. My dealer is chasing this. I definitely got the impression from the emails I've seen that she has been made atleast - for a long time I wasn't even sure of that!

I'm predicting that she probably won't get here until March (I just get that feeling) so fingers crossed it isn't later than that

 

Tan resin is harder to work with so I am not surprised that there are production delays with the tan resin and sometimes delays are caused by bad weather which make the resin even harder to deal with. We need to remember that Supia is a small company and probably doesn't get as a high a priority with the casting service. They are worth waiting for!

 

Heya, sorry I was a bit MIA about the new Supia body (got really busy ), but for sure I will have time as soon as my camera's battery's recharged to take pictures of it.
