hmm. i guess you are right. I only order doll without any addditional clothes aside for gift clothes. I don't know whether it make a slight difference for the shipping ^^;

Yeah I also thinking about the new outfit and since only available 7, need to hurry.

 

Wow, that is one heck of a storage problem! I guess the good thing is that it's like opening a new doll each time.

What a nice surprise! I think that Azrael arriving with the original face up damaged spoilt it for me and then I lost my mum straight after. I just never felt like opening him after that. I need to decide what to do with him after all this time.

 

I know I asked about heel feet that'd fit the vito boys before../// I just thought about this tho.
...Would zenith girls' heel feet fit ? :0! The vito boys and zenith girls flat feet are close in size.
If anyone could try it, please!

Just wondering, does anyone here also had Vito Sean? or free gift head of Sean that already been custom faceup? I kinda wonder what would his sculpt would be without company faceup. Since I think his sculpt is handsome, but he is not that popular.

 

I'm currently waiting for my free gift Sean head to come home! His shipping got delayed because I ordered my Lester through a dealer and wasn't aware of the event, so the gift head was only added to my order about a month later or so. Either way, I'm planning to give him my own custom faceup when he comes home (he's gonna be a sort of a "practice head" for me, I want to try giving him a beard and some old looking scars, as well as a more mature look, hopefully), so I could definitely share a pic or two! ^___^

Oh, by the way, I have a question concerning Vito guys as well: has anyone tried a 60 cm Ringdoll outfit on them? If so, how do they fit? Generally speaking, are there any 60 cm doll clothes from any brand that could easily fit a Vito boy?

 

@Astraea Nevermore oww. congrats for your new boys! At first Sean also as my practice head, but now I'm thinking to give him body xD.

For 60cm ringdoll outfit, I've never try, but as far as I know nine9style and freedom teller SD13 girl outfit is fit for Vito boy, as you can check my post in page 45. Jeans or jacket look good on Vito boy. A little long in the hand or leg, but so far didn't show much. I didn't dare to give Vito boy an outfit for SD13 boy or 60cm since it'll look very big on him.

 

Thank you so much, @larva-zax! Yeah, I think eventually I'm going to get a body for my Sean as well, but for the first few months I guess he will be sharing a body with Aaron (aka, my Lester)

And yessss, Nine9 Style SD13 girl jeans are a pretty good fit, I got a pair for my boy as well! ...Strangely, though, the SD13 boy tank top I got for him (also from Nine9) wouldn't fit him at all o____O At a first glance, it looked like it would fit pretty well (it looked a bit too long, even), but his head wouldn't get through the neck hole of the shirt and, even when I took his head off, it wouldn't fit his shoulders either .___. I guess that has to do with the fact that Vito boys apparently have a massive chest and shoulders, despite their size.

For now, I got him a 70 cm t-shirt and plaid shirt from Nine9, which... don't look too bad on close-ups, I guess:

(And yes, poor boy has got no wig on him right now because the one I got turned out to be too small and way too much of a pain to fit on his head XD)

Hahah thx. the outfit that i bought for my boy on freedom teller only the jeans jacket, I want to buy the black jacket, but dont bring enough money TvT. Freedom Teller offline store is a lovely place to try all the clothes in there, it sure looks like a boutique for doll.

 

D'aaaw, thank you! Yep, I got the shirt from Nine9 Style, too. They have it in green and red (and same, haha, I have a similar shirt too!)
And oooh, Freedom Teller does certainly have some amazing clothes! Those jackets are so pretty! ...But yeah, some of the price tags are a tad too high for me as well ;___; But there's a few simpler shirts available at fairly reasonable prices I really like, too *O*

Thanks! I love how it looks, but it was an awful struggle to put on. The decorative bands and buckles on the coat sleeves keep the fabric from stretching, so it's hard to get the coat on over the other two long-sleeved pieces. The set was packaged with the coat already fitted over the short jacket. I tried to get the combination on over the sweater but couldn't manage it. All three layers are very thin and somewhat flimsy. Now that I've got it on him, I suspect he'll never take it off!

In Flickr, when you have your photo on the screen, look for the curved arrow. Someone told me it was on the left of the photo but mine was on the right, between two other symbols at the bottom of the page. Click on that and choose BB Code. Copy the highlighted code, then click on the image icon here, and paste the BB Code into the space for image url. Before you click on Insert, delete everything in the code in front of the first set of img brackets and after the second set of img brackets. In other words, keep only the code between those two sets of brackets. Also delete the image brackets. I wait until the end to do that so I don't get mixed up. Then click on Insert and there's your photo! (Sorry this is so wordy. When I type the brackets and what's in them it all vanishes when I post it here.)

Also, if you need to change the size of your photo, you can do it in the drop down menu under the BB Code.

 

Don't mess with the image URL,

Simply copy that BBS code from Flickr and paste it
into the text field. If you want to preview it then
click the preview button. Otherwise when you
post it it will show up here correctly.

I'm confused. Do you mean you can bypass the image icon in the menu bar and just paste the very long BB Code right into the box where you type your message?

You're right--it works! I just tried it on another thread. For what it's worth, the BB Code took up two lines in the message box. I was really happy to see that mess turn into a photo!

 

New Limited heads at SoulDoll! I like both Vito heads. Thinking of maybe getting Dick to share bodies with Jin. No way can I afford a whole doll right now.

lovely new heads, I was hoping for new vito heads though Dick isn't quite what i'm after (he is stinking cute though) and I do like the girls. Ahem.

I have a love-hate for this dolls because they are so realistic and beautifully sculpted, but their size...

Their size is a great option if you collect MSD and want to have a taller one, the height different is perfect.

But myself I have mostly SD and the difference would be so much it wouldnt fit.

 

I would say for the boys that that is true, the girls don't really fit with MSD dolls at all though in my opinion, their proportions are too different.

Really thinking about getting the head, not going to get another vito girl body though until they change the knees. The vito girl has legitimately the worst knees out of any doll they make. They stand solid enough, but they drive me berserk trying to pose, really wish they'd redesign them to be more like the Zenith knees or even like the Kid knees.

 

I can't seem to stop buying Souldolls... I've got Paw on layaway and told myself this is the last one for a while ... but this new event came along and the Vito boy head is so cute! Must have. He'll have to wait for a body along with Dane and Sean.

 

congrats @ashcat-desu ! I'm debating myself whether I'll do the same or not. The Vito boy head is so cute. But I'm curious since Souldol put the tag '2017 limited head (1st)' possible they will release another tempting head

 

I was thinking the same thing! If they do I'm hoping it won't be at least until June or July so I have time to save.

I'm pining for souldolls. Wish more companies did dolls in this scale honestly, I like it. It's not too big I feel like i'm carrying a child around yet gives the options for more mature faces that msd simply cannot accommodate. I need me more mature boys and girls in this in between scale. Pain to dress sure, but they look soooo nice.
I wonder why more companies haven't jumped on the 50-59 range sizes, there seems to be a market for mature msds after all and having them that bit taller makes them distinct but also allows them to fit in heightwise with the more teenaged looking msds at 44cm. For when you want a grown up dolly, but don't want something 65cm tall and so heavy you may as well be lugging a human baby around hahaha.

I didn't notice the 2017 limited head 1st thing. Ooo that makes me hopeful for more limited heads. I'm still crossing all my fingers that they'll release a vito boy head that I can finally use for my oc that I want to shell. I'd love them to do more of those same head, different expression ones too. That'd be super useful for my twins.
Come oooon souldoll, then you can just have my wallet hah.

 

I think a small 6-7 (say 6-6,5). All my 6-7 fur wigs fall off, and the other one doesn't suit him so I ordered him a new one

Souldoll vito and new NL kids are perfect sizes large enough to be admired in full, small enough not to be scary.
Now all we need to do is convince the bjd clothing industry, hehe.

 

He's looking good, @Widu, even without a wig or clothing. And I love the shot of the wolf head with Groot looming behind him!

Velcro strips might help your fur wigs stay on. I've found that wigs on a stretch cap with elastic around the edge stay on best. You need something to grip that odd-shaped noggin.

 

I usually put a dab of pva/craft glue because i'm terrible and don't care enough to use anything else hahah. It comes off with a light rub anyway but holds the wig on nice. I glue most of my wigs, only problem is then you have glue residue on the wig itself but eh. I never change wigs once I settle on one so whatever hahah.

Totally the perfect sizes. I have plans to shell 4 of my oldest ocs into souldolls and the scale between the kid body and the vito is perfect for two of the brothers. It gives me a weird scale to work at 1:3.63 lol. Because I HAVE to make things hard for myself don't I?
But it means that my two boys who are 5'6" and 6'2" match up almost exactly to 47cm and 52cm in height. Whoo.
Of course their other two siblings are 6'4" which gives me a really awkward 53.7cm height. I'm considering if shoes might help, or if there's any 54cm bodies out there... somewhere. *headdesk*

 

on a related note, can anyone give me the measurements of the vito body without a head? or the length of the heads on average?
that'll be helpful heh. I'm scheming.

@purple_monkfish so agree for more company make Vito size. I love carry around my Vito when traveling, they didn't too big like SD, but mature enough to be seen like an adult BJD.

So 4.5 months after he arrived home I finally decided it was time I unpacked my Azrael. I can't get over the quality of his costume. I had dithered over whether I should let him go but I'm very pleased with him. I apologise for the awful phone pic but I just wanted to get a snap quickly in case he fell over from the weight of that outfit
