Introducing &#338;thel! United with her little man, Eustace, in their blankfacey glory. I'm going to have a load of heads to send out for faceups XD

Her feet are so tiny they angle into those heeled boots very nicely. But she's all I wanted her to be and more. I'm so excited! I've also got some clothes on the way from our own frezje as well as some other people that make Minifee clothing. Styling her is going to be so fun! And looking at her hands makes me rethink some things about her character's backstory. Perhaps she took ballet lessons at some point? Because I'd love to get her into some ballet poses. Maybe after getting some new string in her. I think she's still got her original string from 2009 in her.

 

Somebody needs to, like, hold me down and keep me away from the Rosette site because every time I go, I want another Rosette so I can try them again but noooo. Must resist!

okokokokok I just had a bit of a brain explosion... You know how Soom are doing the fairytales thing this year right? And the latest release includes a Timp doll from the Neo website right? What if they use a Rosette for the next one?! ok, so maybe not Puss In Boots, but I just thought maybe...? What do you guys think? Which fairytale do you want to see involve a Rosette (aside from the obvious answer of ALL OF THEM lol)?

I did indeed~ One of the Firs was a birthday present for my bestie, and I decided to get one myself after a lot of thought xD Thus the fir twins ^^ I finished paying them off around mid Feb, so I'm hoping my Renee will be home soon with her twin ^^

I'm going for something very contemporary with some great eyeshadow/eyeliner that makes the best use of those bright eyes of hers. I was looking at her in different light angles courtesy of a flashlight and I was getting some great alternately serious and content looks out of her. Hopefully I can still take advantage of that. The character that goes with her is generally a happy girl with a lot to hide. Hopefully I can harness that.

For her wardrobe I'm going for great colors and lots and lots of miniskirts XD Gonna see if I cant sort out an ankle-length trench.

But for now I'm waiting on a second hand Happy Camille wig to come from Europe. It's dark green and black all mixed in so it should look great. And it's looooooooong which I've had such a hard time finding short of Leeke. Still got my eye on that Monique wig I've picked out, though. Also looking forward to raiding shops in Japan when I go next month :3

 

This is so easy- The Twelve Dancing Princesses! And no repeat sculpts allowed! Can you imagine? I would go crazy trying to figure out which one(s) to order. And the possibilities for dresses!

 

Annarchy: That would probably kill my economy, not being able to choose just one....

Among the fairytale I could envision for them Cinderella would come high on the list, that would mean a possible choice of three or four dresses (and glass slippers (high-heeled?)). Just dreaming...

 

Glass slippers would be EPIC!

 

I just got an answer to my WTB, so now I am the happy owner of a Rosette Fir. I can't wait to see her!

 

I sent soom a message to ask them when my firs will be shipped, and I got early-mid April! Sigh... A bit of a wait ahead for me!!

 

I'm still waiting for a shipping notice for my Fir with faceup that I ordered early December (paid straight away). Compared to the FCE and Steam Mia, it still feels like the Xmas kits are being processed somewhat faster. Or is that just my imagination?

 

Quick question: Has anyone bought these Dollmore fashion doll skinny pants for their girls? I'm probably going to join a GO and if I know those pants fit I'll probably get a couple... (since Miranda has refused to share her clothes with Hadassah, which might change when Hada has an awesome wardrobe of her own)

 

I don't know about those but I remember someone said at some point that Dollmore msd shorts fit?

That was me! Only not MSD shorts, but FMD shorts. The ones my Sakura is wearing on the previous page are from this set and are a perfect fit.

 

Chiming in with some more info about Dollmore, I have these Yosd shorts, and apart from being a bit tight around her thighs, they fit my Delilah pretty nicely~

 

OldMagician, your dolls are stunning! Here is my Xmas kit Fir in her new wig, patiently waiting for the weather to improve so she can get a faceup. I'm working on a corset, blouse, and skirt for her. She's borrowing minifee clothes - lol.

Finally finished Hadassah's column dress. She's so happy to not be wearing the couch afghan any more!

 

The girls had a tea party recently with our MiniFeé boy. He blends in too well! XD They're all very intense about their tea, apparently.



I was done with MSDs until we found Rosettes, and now they've got incoming friends.

They're beautiful together! What a nice contrast!

Thanks! Yes, she has the lady bust I have no idea what I want her personality to be until I start painting her - weird, huh? I let each doll tell me. What I'm thinking ahead of time is very waif-ish, hippie-like, but we'll see what happens - LOL.

I'm such a white resin addict it's a fun change to have a girl with some color to her resin! And my pasty girls don't look particularly great in white so Hada doesn't have to worry about anyone stealing her clothes

Also, as for the question about Soom's new fairytales, is there a list somewhere of all the fairytales they plan on releasing? I thought I saw it once but now that I look I can't find it. Whatever they do with Rosettes, I hope it involves some flippin high heel feet!

 

I should stop fence-sitting, just decide to go to the meet up and be mulish with my in-laws if they make a fuss. (my relatives won't say peep about it; they believe in cold wars) And I remember that sandwich! Or more specifically, finding it in my car some time later

Oh yeah if this Fairytale thing crosses to the Rosettes, I'd be mighty excited. as long as the outfits are available individually because there's no way I'd have the money to plunk down on a whole fullset doll But I think it's just the Gem line, otherwise there probably would have been an announcement on the Rosette site probably.

But my package from frezje arrived earlier this week. I'll have photos once my day off Friday finally comes. Making plans to send her for a faceup when I get back from Japan in May. Hopefully I can find things for her at the Tokyo Doll Show 8D

Though they have used Angel Regions before in some Gem crossovers Never Rosettes.

Oh speaking of high heels, I just posted on the Q&A bugging Victoria about them again. Just trying to be a squeaky wheel! I'll post here if I get a response this time. I'm betting it will be "We have no plans to do this but I've passed it on to the design team for consideration" but we can dream!

I think Rosettes would make a fine Alice! Our Fir is wearing a replica of an artbook picture from American MacGee's Alice Silje put together, and the crazy Victorian style of it looks so good on that tall body!

Violetpoof, thank you! Those are gray Soom Silicon eyes in 14mm. They are both the same colour, but they don fit to well which causes the light to reflect differently in both of them. I'm looking for other eyes for her but I first have to decide if I want silicon eyes, glass eyes or something else entirely

Fairytale Rosette's, now that would be something! I do like it that Soom seems to be going a completely different direction with their new MD's I think I would like to see a Red Riding Hood Rosette most of all (though a Puss in Boots Rosette could be fun too )
