LOL In Japan "hint of mint" means gay man, usually with just a touch of effeminacy. I wonder if it means the same in Korea? Anyhow, Robbie is a very cute guy and now I will forever see him as a Twink, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe he will join my crew of macho men. Not sure at this point.I wish the fashion size dolls were more cohesive in scale so the FID and Raccoons could mix with the Dollshe and aGatti guys. But they have stylistic differences so I suppose they would stay separate anyhow.

 

@Therealwalter - your post cracked me up! Now when I look at Robbie's police uniform I hear "YMCA".

 

Yes but of course there’s no reason he could not be both a Twink and a police officer at the same time.

 

Totally safe this time, that Robbie guy is not for me.

But the girls... I'd like to order Steeze Rosie, Bellis Daisy, Monochrome Beauty Letitia (but I've still order two dolls during the last month so I should better not add one)

 

They're available till the 15th of December. . Soooo you could order one next month and then it wouldn't be like you ordered two in the last month. It would have been two months ago, right?

Here you go, I took this one to show the size with the girls sitting and standing. You can see it a bit better here. I was trying to take some pictures in the light but they didn't exactly happen before the light suddenly left.

Yes! Or I could say it will be my Christmas gift I think there is no lack of excuses when it comes to buying dolls !

 

I like the new guy, he’s got a great nose, but I’m going to pass on him. He actually reminds me of Zachary Quinto which makes the ‘hint of mint’ meaning pretty funny. Finally what I’ve really been waiting for has come back, dark mocha! I’m just still torn, Monica of Laetitia? I could get Monica and a sleepy eyed Laetitia head but that would take me over my spending budget.

 

Very nice window seat. It is bigger than I thought. Perfect scale for the girls.

 

I really like Robbie..................he reminds me of Iple Leonard, who I have a big soft spot for.
Received Nina in trade recently............she is my "Mini" Claire based on the Outlander character. Her Mini Jamie just arrived today, although he needs to go off for a face up. Mini Claire was happy to see him regardless. Her shift is by Robyn at Period Threads

I think Daisy needs a fringe/bangs. I agree I hesitate about her blank sculpt but always love her painted up. She looks like my son's girlfriend and she has the forehead too but is such a pretty little thing I'd still like a Daisy.

This round of offerings I love the new skintone. The guy's face still doesn't grab me enough to want him but its great to see new faces. I'm tempted by sleepy Laetitia still now that she is being offered again...and Daisy...and Monica...hmmmm

 

Your Nina is gorgeous! Is that a default faceup? I almost got a Nina, but maybe next time... Is this a Jamie a Leonard too?

I’ve been avoiding fringe on my fashion dolls but you’re right, she might look nicer with them. I love the look of Bellis Daisy, and she’s got that fringe down to her eyes. Can’t wait to see Mocha in person! I hope it’s more reddish than gold.

@JinCIncy That’s Bellis Daisy’s faceup?! I got those eyebrows but I picked Elf Daisy’s faceup because I thought her eyes were more dramatic. She’s very striking with that coloring and wig.

 

Jackie, your Nina looks wonderful and perfect for Claire. I can't wait to see you Jamie with his faceup.

 

Nina arrived Monday! To my parents house. I got here yesterday and unboxed. She’s amazing. Bigger than I was expecting! So gorgeous. I’ll have her shipped to my house once Damien arrives here too. I’ll have time next month to do faceups. Yesssssss.

 

My hand may have slipped and ordered Billie her piano today from the Etsy I got the window seat from >__>. I think that I may pass on getting a new Raccoon doll this event. . though I may get one come Tax time, especially if there's a boy I am particularly fond of then. I'm thinking I'll get an Iplehouse Bianca though to be Julian's girlfriend-kinda-ish. Pictures of course will ensue once the piano arrives.

I think we need more doll spams in this thread to make the wait till it's time to ship for the boys more tolerable! I am trying very hard not to check every day even though I know it won't be time till at least next month at the soonest.

I'm searching for a wig for my incoming girl and I'm having a hard time finding the right one. I know they generally take 5-6" wigs but are there any companies where 6-7" wigs fit well?

 

The only time I've been able to put a 6-7 wig on a Raccoon girl is when a wig has been mislabeled. I haven't found any that run consistently small for the size.

 

My Stella wore a black Monique Gold 6/7 Paris wig for a while which I filled in the gaps with a rubber band. It looked OK on her but was still way to roomy. She's much happier in the Iple wig of a similar style. Here's a picture of the Paris

Since everyone's so quiiiet (I blame Thanksgiving and Iplehouse) have another picture of Billie!

I knoow that it's too early, but I keep having to check every single day to see if the boys are shipping yet. I want my boy!!

I ordered my boy over a month ago and am trying very hard not to check on him. I checked my Daisy head every day (sometimes multiple times a day) after the first month and it just about drove me crazy. I'll give Damien another couple of weeks before I start looking for status updates.

thank you! The sweater is something I made for my JID girl some time ago. I need to make something like it for Billie in a more white white rather than cream. It was just too cold for her to still be wearing that little crop top!

Also that sweater is adooorable!

Does anyone have Nana photo? I'm interested in her now so it would be great if you can help me.

Gorgeous picture!!!!! I check everyday too. I’m hoping he arrives at my parents house while I’m there for Christmas.

 

I really hope he does show up then for you! I'm hoping Julian gets here by Christmas time. I think I'm gonna make some salwar type pants for him this week once things are clean here. Those should be easy since they're loose mostly. I need to find a perfect fabric though. Something with an interesting colour.

Still waiting for Safrin to open their eyes. I need three pairs now. Hopefully I don't need more than that. . . Maybe I should get some extras just in case.

Juno is actually quite pretty. She sort of looks like Monica and Kate's sister by way of Lady Gaga. I like her a lot.

I'm considering getting an Elf Daisy head towards the end of this event. I will have to see how funds are like by Christmas and after my Iplehouse Layaway payments and all that. I like her face, not so sure on the alien forehead and ear placement though. I think I need to see her in person to decide.

Someone on the Q&A asked about them making an Elf Momo I think it was. They said they might be able to do it next year. So there may be more elves in the future? I'd love to see Elf Kate myself.

 

Juno is lovely! She looks like a cross between Rosie and Monica to me. Thankfully, I don't think I need her. Phew! I did order a mocha Laetitia and sleepy head when the event opened, though. Really excited to compare the new resin tone to all the others!

 

Need to find this lady some shoes! Are there any casual style slip-on styles that look good for these ladies?

Super cute outfit! I have no idea on flats for these gals. Fabric and Dolls has some of Raccoondoll shoes in stock. You might want to check there. If you don't mind sharing what pattern did you use for the leggings? I am finding the best fit is Adams Harris patterns.

 

I'd be much happier with those uniforms if Juno's wasn't the sexy Halloween costume version, but it's great on those Raccoon legs.

It amuses me that Daisy looks strange to several of us... but then we buy her, or at least think about it. I can't WAIT to see mine in person, especially in Mocha.

@LaurieESW - Much as I hate to recommend shoes that are no longer available, Denver Doll used to sell flats from Doll in Style that are a perfect fit. I think these were called Bow Flats. I bought several pairs while DDE still had them--I wish now I had bought them in every color. They might turn up on the secondary market or from another supplier.

 

This clothing fit so good and suits very well for Daisy! I really like her ) She looks very smart and sensible girl.

@Imateo - Thank you! I actually wish I hadn't centered Rosie in the middle of the fireplace, but I do love the 3-piece room setting. It's from American Girl for their 18-inch play dolls. Unfortunately the room is discontinued.

@LaurieESW - It wasn't me who mentioned Dale Rae but I'm glad to know. She seems to have discontinued her shoe lines but they might be available from stores that had them in stock.

Denver Doll only has the SD size and I don't see them on ebay.

@LaurieESW I bought the white tennis shoes for Raccoon doll from F&D. They fit nice as they are made by Raccoondoll. I wish they fit FID but too small. Thanks for pattern.
I have Dalerae shoes. They fit FID but big on Raccoondoll.

As for clothes, I am still learning what fits as I have not owned mine long. I plan to make most of my dolls clothing, but it is nice to know if she shares with any particular doll, because then the patterns would work.
I believe there is hit or miss on her sharing clothes with dolls of other lines, like vinyl fashion dolls. But that in general Iplehouse FID are usually a possibility. There are sellers in the Marketplace, on Etsy and Ebay sewing for them too.

I hope this helps some and that those more experienced with the RD line can give you more in depth answers.
