[Adopted] Mirodoll (formerly known as Lost Angel) Discussion Thread

Was just thinking/fantasizing about future heads from Mirodoll this morning. My fingers are crossed for a manly head to go with the 69cm body. Strong nose, defined jawline, broad mouth with plump lips. Something that would look amazing in burnt sugar or dark chocolate! >w<
Well, that's just what's on my wishlist, anyway. ^-^

 

I paid off my layaway this morning, and Mirodoll said they would ship my three bodies within three day.
I'm so happy to finally get some bodies for my many floating heads!

 

I received an email from Mirodoll too and they said they would be shipping my three orders together soon and would send tracking. I hope to receive tracking this week? Fingers crossed. Looking forward to these new bodies.

 

I love the bodies, they are very muscular. They are perfect for what I am going to do with them. I am already thinking about ordering a couple more dolls from them. As for the resin quality, sorry I'm not sure. These boys are my first dolls so I have no idea about the resin.

 

Actually neither is a girl's head. The burnt sugar color is the Wallace head and the ns is 60 cm boy head 02

 

Miro's now having a 40% sale!! Versus the 38% before. I might have to get the 68cm body but I KNOW once I do they'll release a new body mold.. waiting a bit!

 

I may have to get another 68cm body. As far as I know, there are no new molds coming out immediately. I could be wrong though.

Good choice! I love the male body but i need a girl one, so i will get first the girl one, i'm positive to put some heeled feet so to make her wear heels

 

Jumping in because I think I shall order one of the bodies... not before the end of May though... I have a con to go to.

 

ah my bad one of the heads looked way smaller than the other. I tried the 05 girl head on the boy body and it looked to small so I used the Lightning head on mine. Cool I was looking at the Wallace head so now i have an idea what both boy heads will look like thanks.

 

My order arrived yesterday and I have mixed feelings. I love the 68cm male body, poses nicely and looks great. The 60cm female body I am also happy with but what a surprise for me with the 1/4 bodies. i thought that they would be MSD size but they are much smaller. What heads fit these bodies? I have no heads to fit this size body and I am so sad that their tan body will not work with my tan Narin. Mirodoll 1/4 male body is so lovely.
I am pleased with their 60cm female tan, it is a bit lighter than my Iplehouse head but once she get’s her face-up I think it will work nicely.

 

May i ask Jo if your Iplehouse head is in light tan or real skin ?

there are only a few people with the MSDs you can check out the MSD thread http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...erly-Lost-Angel)-Mini-Discussion-Thread/page3, I know someone has a Chicline LTF on theirs...not sure but I know Resinsoul is considered slim, but some of their heads are quite large, perhaps Souldoll I know their heads are smaller.

Would love to see your Tan 60cm girl when you finish her faceup

I'm eyeing that 68 cm Thunder... it would be even better for my long term project than the 60 cm I got for it... Guess I can always make up another supporting character! LOL!

 

I hear ya, Donna! I'm not sure what I'll do with my outdated 60cm boy now either... I'm getting him a taller body. I have a good idea though. *grins*

 

Yea I have an idea for my NS 60cm boy...once I find time to work on him...I actually just want to get him in a different color..the NS is just way to pale. I might go for either the tan or burnt sugar...though I think the burnt sugar might be too close in color to my Angelsdoll..but we shall see I could just make my Angelsdoll shorter and put the Mirodoll head on his body. So many ideas...sigh.

 

My Iplehouse head is real skin. The Miro Doll has a bit shinny resin and a little lighter than IH but I am happy with the two together. Here is a quick (not great) photo:

Hello, everyone! So, this sale of Mirodoll's is just too good to pass up so I thought I'd grab a body for one of my heads. Problem is, the neck size on the Mirodoll 60cm body says it's 10cm but my boy's head is made for neck size 9.5cm. I keep wondering how big a difference this would even make. Does anyone have a head with a 9.5cm neck on the 60cm body? If so, how is it working out for you?

 

hmmm I'll have to check my dolls when I get home not sure of their neck sizes, but .5 doesn't seem like it would make much difference and pretty frequently the measurements on sites are not always 100% accurate. I'll see what I can scrounge up.
There is also a hybrid thread with a few different companies that people have hybrided the Mirodoll with that you might want to check out if you haven't already. What head is it that you are try to hybrid?

 

I have a Little Rebel Hachi head that I would love to see on this body. I don't know, I think the proportion with his head would look interesting. I'll check out the hybrid thread but, if you come up with anything, let me know. I'm sure I can make it work, I just don't want to have to do anything drasti/hastyc. Than again, I really can't ignore the price! Especially for a body that seems quite nice. Though, I WILL have to handle the lack of S-hooks. I can't deal with stringing that goes up through the neck, not sure why.

Just put a little extra hot glue in the neckwell and it should work fine!

Edit: OOps! I got the measurements backwards! LOL!

 

Alright so my resinsoul dolls have a neck size of 9.5 so I switched one of their heads onto my mirodoll 60cm boy. Of course head size various from company to company so I'm not certain the circumference of the head you have but hopefully this might help a bit. It sits on top of the neck, which isn't too uncommon with most companies..I'm sure it could just be a matter of sanding down the neck just a bit if you want a better fit. The head measurements are 21cm around the headcap 9cm tall 21cm from bottom of chin over the top of head to the back edge of the neck.

Hee! Thank you so much! That actually works for me. I probably could take a little off the neck but I'll see if that's even necessary, especially since this looks pretty good from here. I probably WOULD have to suede him, just to keep his head steady, but I have no problem with that at all. I think I'll just go for it. At the very worst, I'll have a floating body that I'll have to head-hunt for (which wouldn't be bad at all) or I'll get lucky and the body fits one of my other floating heads. I just think it would be awesome to see my LR head on such a muscular body. The combination intrigues me.

Just to ask, and I hate asking ANOTHER question, but does anyone have the dark chocolate? I just want to know what it's like in person. I think I may be talking myself into getting a Wind in that color. Her face intrigues me.

Everytime i think Miro doll is going to be ending their sale, i buy dolls. Arghh, then they have more sales with an awesome 68cm boy doll, im doomed. I have too many dolls as it is my husband says. Nonsense, so such thing.
