Okay, so in other words I'm likely to get the bodies before I see them show up on tracking. Thanks. That helps. I hate this. The waiting for these first two bodies, it's just KILLING me. I'm like pregnant Mom waiting to pop, and getting false labor pains every couple of days....

 

Try to track using China or Singapour tracking services, not your local tracking.

 

My last Mirodoll order.. the tracking info didn't show up until the day it was delivered!

 

Usually the tracking in some way is slow updating, but also the parcel stays stuck into the sorting center of Bejin for about 20 days, at least was like that the last time i've got a parcel sent out from China

 

I've tried to contact Mirodoll twice still no reply from them, i've used the mail address shown on their web site, am i doing something wrong?

 

Try IM their rep here. I must have sent 5 emails and they never replied, but once I sent a message here they did. I think they might have problems with their spam filters or something.

Yea I just saw their announcement earlier...that lilac is pretty bright..wow...kinda cool. I'd like to see a pink might have to email them and also ask about other elf eared heads. The girl body is perfect for one of my sketches but I need a prettier elf eared head and in pink..tee hee. Will be cool to see what they come up with for grey.

I love that blue color!! Currently I got no doll with fantasy colors. I do love unusual resin skin colors. I just have not gotten that far as to add any doll with a fantasy color to my collection.

Would have been interesting getting an MSD boy in that color. I really love that the colors is so dark Very different from the fantasy colors I am used to.

 

Luts is more like normal yellow, from what i've seen mirodoll is more near to pink pale color

Regarding the special color: the lilac is deffo awesome but i was hoping for a light color, nothing to complain anyway cause sincerely the resin colors are both awesome!
Mirodoll also replied to me that is possible to order blue or lilac you need to choosing tan and then add a note if you order via web shop or orders can be submitted via mail
I'm very interested in both colors, but i need to decide and right now i don't know which color get

 

Oh, those new colours are awesome! Very unusual - I love them, especially the dark blue.

 

Thanks. Unfortunately it's not showing up with that either, my tracking #. Grr. They're both very interesting colors nice and rich but I particularly like the blue. If they do green I just might have to get an MSD sized green Wind for myself for Christmas. I like her sculpt and she's not that expensive so I thought about it grabbing that head in the smaller size and another NS body. A green color like that would really clinch it for me I think. Oooh, just a thought. If they go there I can have them make me a green or blue skinned boy too, can't I? (Grins...) Yup, this fantasy color thing could get very dangerous, lol. I think Tonner just lost a serious chunk of my business to Miro Doll. If there is one thing I've been really coveting as a doll collector it's a fantasy skinned 16" boy.

I love the lilac! Not even close to grey! YAY! They chose it as a fresh, flower color. Vivid. However, I could suggest a tone-down if it's too much.

The blue is great for both Avatar blue and Nightcrawler/Mystique blue, I think!

 

I really want an MSD character in that blue

 

Yeah Chalyss..i think that a tone down for both colors would be better
I would love a sky blue and not a dark blue, but you know this is just me cause i'm in need of a sky blue color for the girl body
Don't know if Mirodoll is planning gray color or other special colors

So many pretty colors! I can't wait till I dye my doll and put her together again... It would have been nice to buy a full doll in the color I wanted, but I just had to hybrid.... using a head from a different company, jointed hands from another one, and heel parts from yet another. Plus I did so much modding on the body it may not be so recognizable anymore hehe.

Miro doesn't have heel parts do they? I didn't see them when I bought.

I'm so totally grateful to Mirodoll for having dolls that are affordable enough to experiment with.

 

I've asked to them to add heeled feet, they didn't replied to this
I love so much the girl body cause it's just different from the other around, the legs are just awesome
it's a shame that Mirodoll doesn't offers heeled feet but never say ever

 

I have to say, I don't love the face sculpts so much but the thought of having a bright pink doll is pretty awesome. I looked on the site and it's not up available yet, I have the patience of a four year old at Build a Bear. I didn't see when it would be for sale.

 

If you ask for the new color adding a note when you buy on their shop they will send it right away

 

Is there a thread some where that has the posing abilities, or just naked poses of the female 60cm body? There are three pages worth of search in the galleries under 'mirodoll' but DoA will only let me look at the first page..

$abbatha: They are going to do a grey. I sent them a sample. Red and Green will be on the way too. I think they want to keep their bue as-is, though, since Avatar blue has been one of their dreams. They're willing to move on the lilac a bit, but maybe we can get 2 out of them. I'll ask about a softer pink instead... or rather, a lavender.

Chalyss i've sent to them the correct sample of lilac, cause the one they pictured to me seems too colorful, again stunning color. Lavander will be great, or wisteria pink..
Again blue is stunning but not what i'm looking for, expecially cause i'm not into avatar vibe at all

But truth be told she's not really a poser. Standing is tricky, especially on carpet. I have since restrung her, hot glue sueded, and wired (but I think my wire was too thin so I have to redo) and she's ok but still not the best. Her joints are also creaky, even after sueding. Still a nice body though!

Maybe they can tone it down a bit. Make it alot less dayglow.

 

Aw, I love how vivid it is. But yeah, personally I could go for a deeper purple/something less pink. In addition to a TRUE pink. :3

 

$sabbatha: I'm not into blue either, neither sky nor Avatar. But a lot of people are and if it matches the majority, that's what they have to look at. You can't please everyone all the time, but if you can please most of them, you can make a profit. However, they may be willing to do their dream of Avatar blue and also a lighter version. I know BBB/RS did that. I think their lilac is great because no one else has it. If additional can be done, super. But Miro should be Miro and not a remix of BBB or RS. They should have proprietary colors, whether we all love them or not. I have to keep reminding myself of that with burnt sugar, as it is SO not the color I was hoping for and trying to direct them to. But maybe they'll do special requests, especially if they match resins. We have to remember they'll do that too, on a person-to-person basis. So we all get what we want in the end. I'm interested in knowing what sent as the correct shade of lilac, as that can vary by opinion. Was it a physical sample or a picture one? May I see it?

 

I like the colors as they are. But I would not mind a tiny bit of tone down just to make the colors a little bit more natural.

 

Agreed if the lilac was just toned down a little and like someone said less dayglo that would be great (though it is quite unique and I could totally figure out something to do with it..hmmm bwahaha, just had a great idea), it is definitely a far cry from RS/BBB's purple, which even since they changed it still has a greyness to it. I agree they should try to be their own and not do colors exactly as maybe other companies with the fantasy colors but if they are to do that they will definitely need to work on the head sculpts to draw in more people for those colors, heads are huge I'd like to see those scaled down just a tad as well. I think its great with the natural skin tones though that they can potentially match others.
Oh and definitely a pink that is not as light as RS, something a little bit more pink but not dayglo pink..lol.

 

I agree with you Kitty, i agree also that Mirodoll needs to be Mirodoll, but to do that they need to create new heads sculpts, i'm not asking them to replicate any other resin color to matching with a floating head of mine, personally i was just speaking about my preference based also on my needs.
Chalyss i do undestand what you're saying but i'm not asking for a personal resin color expecially to match with a specific floating head i own already, as told both colors are stunning to me, not sure what i can do with them mainly cause head sculpts from Mirodoll are not in my tastes, that's all.
Again if someone found stunning blue then it's good for them to get it.
Again lilac would be awesome if just would be a tone down, but that's just my personal opinion.
I would love to see by instance some heeled feet for girl body, to make an example.

$abbatha: I totally agree about the high heeled feet, I think that was a great call. Their lilac IS pa-POW! And some tone-down would not be remiss. My comments were not meant to be snide or anything, I apologize if they ended up sounding a bit harsh. I still think their resin-match service is just awesome though I'd like to know its cost. You'll be happy to know they are working on getting 'prettier' sculpts and are looking for a sculptor. I agree- I'd like to see some different sculpts too. I know they want a head for the Big Boy body that isn't Thunder. I believe he will be called Storm eventually. That bluegreen color they made, no, that's not their green. It was a first attempt at blue. But they wanted avatar blue which they eventually got. I COULD use that blue, I just realized. I have one character for it. Hmmm. I would like to see their red and hope it's a nice true red. I have use for that. I'd also like to see an NS-Y from them. And high-heeled feet! The jointed ones from William don't work on the Miro Dolls.

KITTY BLUE: I'll suggest a pink and that the lilac is not so vivid.

I personally think they should keep to the vivid colors, that is really eyepopping and different. Bobobbie and others have done the muteds, and greys are everywhere, but bright pink? Nobody else does bright pink.

The body looks nice aesthetically, too bad it doesn't pose after all that work. the problem with using a thicker wire is that the doll becomes kind of stiff. Try a copper jewler's wire, you can get it from Fire Mountain, in like a 22 gauge.

 

I`m just happy to see a company who try out some new colors that we have not seen before.

Many of my favorite BJD companies offer still in 2013 only white skin and normal skin. Some offer tan to but that is about it.
What we need is more colors to choose from

But I agree on more head sculpts. More head sculpts for both SD and MSD. And the big heads is a little bit to big I think.

I would like to have an blue MSD boy. But I am not so sure if any of those head sculpts is anything for me. But I do like Robin a bit though.

Perhaps they will do it after hiring a good sculptor, which isn't easy to find..i hope they will find someone soon.

huh...I don't have problems posing my girl or boy, they stand like rocks. I would suggest electrical wire it is thicker and is coated I have some in my Resinsoul dolls arms and legs and it works wonders, craft wire I just don't think is probably sturdy enough. plus witht he coating on the electrical wire I think it kinda sticks on the resin so it doesn't slide around or scratch like craft wire.

True red would be cool, I don't think I'd have any characters for it since I already have my one demon boy, the only company I know that did have a red red was 5stardoll. Resinsoul red is brick red. I'm not opposed to dyeing though if the colors are not the exact shade though. I love dyeing.

 

Second the red color I remember when I ordered my first Resinsoul doll. I choose red because I wanted to make a devilish character. I did not realise that the red was more of a warm redish brown tan. So yeah, a real red color would have been awesome

 

Got my bodies today and I think I got NS but I'm not quite sure. It could be that this particular batch of resin was a bit less pink? They're definitely not stark white, more of a cream color but they're not as pink as I was expecting from the descriptions and other pics I've seen. I'm fine with that. Doesn't bother me, if I needed them pinker a little blushing would easily take care of that, but there is a good sized chip on the female's neck in the front that I am far less happy with. I'm really not sure it would sand off and I have to wonder if the head I bought will cover it or not. I'm going to have to IM them I guess and let them know. My first pair it's just been one glitch after the other with them. I will be glad when they are together in one piece and whole...

 

UHM..you can fix this with a bit of epoxie..it's not hard to do it..message them anyway and ask what they can do..i would enquire also for color cause to me you got white and not NS..

 

This is the pic of the girl. Actually the jpeg setting blurred it a fair bit. It looks worse in person and is fairly deep. I need to try taking a macro later. I sent Mangotree an IM with this pic just now. I'm tempted to try sanding it but I'm not sure if that spot on the neck is a good place for me to be attempting that. Most doll necks are fairly fragile. They can crack easily under any stress. It might be covered by a head when it's on but I'm just a bit miffed that my very BJD is a bit messed up.This pic is off a bit on the reds. These dolls are a bit more peachy pale than pink but there's very little peach. They don't look pink at all to me but they don't look paper white either. I think they are a pale NS just the batch might not have been as pink as some I've seen that's all.

Oddly now that I've seen them in person I think I like her breasts just fine. They don't look nearly as fake as I thought they would. I feel a bit perverted but I think I must have spent at least 5 minutes checking out his genitals. They are just something else. I'm really tempted to paint him to make him look like the real deal. This is my first male doll with a peen and I think his just rocks! I could do it. I could paint them both to look anatomically correct all the way, even make little merkins out of faux fur to put down there, but I suppose that would be a bit too much, lol.

i've painted the happy trail on msd from whitdoll, i think that what is incredible for bjd is how they look so real!
About color..well mirodoll NS then could be more like a neutral beige than not near to a real pink color..but could it be that you got the correct color in the end.
For the flaw: to me seems a bad chip, sanding would create a worse gap imo, also dust is very toxic so i would not reccomend it
Again epoxie seems the best solution to me, hope that Mangotree will reply sooner to your message, finger crossed for you.

Thank you everyone for the swift links. I did find a very nice video on youtube, I see many things I would want to mod like the straight lines/rough corners, the elbows, and it needs a locking part on the knee. I'm not sure what I want to do...it is such a good price though.

 

Yeah, the price is considerably nice to allow some modding

 

My dolls I received from Mirodoll were not as pink as what others were stating either though they did match quite a few of the normal pink resins from other companies. So it could have just been monitor settings that may have made them look more pink than other or different resin batches. It definitely doesn't look white to me as their white is stark white. The creamy white is only an option for the other company dolls that Mirodoll sells.
Sorry to hear about your damaged neck, I'm sure Mirodoll will be able to do something for you, most companies are pretty good about sending out pieces that have been damaged in transit.

 

I hope so, very first BJD it kind of sucks that's she's chipped. Kitty, have you tried your other MSD hands with yours, and if so what did work? I actually like them very much otherwise but the hands just have to go. I figure you probably have ideas of what might be a good match. You know the MSD crowd pretty well. I know the miro wrists are oval and they'd probably need to be boiled to fit, but I'm wondering what I should try to get. I definitely want something a lot more graceful and smaller in size.

 

I'm thinking to put dollmore female hands on mirodoll gilr body, these hands are quite slender so should fits fine, anyway i have a pair wandering around already so i would give it a try.
Kitty may i ask if NS mirodoll is a very subtle pink or merely a pale volks pech pink?

Check the album a few before and after for more shots. Those are either AoD or DZ feet. Not sure which, think it's DZ. They bulge a bit around the ankle.

Ankle girth is 6.5 cm according to official site but I get closer to 7cm.

KITTY BLUE: I have had the worst experiences dyeing dolls- I'm dye shy now. I'd rather it be a color that comes with the resin. Good to hear about RS's brick red though because I was considering them. I do really like 5star's red.

 

Sorry I'm not familar with volks peach pink at all don't own any volks besides a DDdy. I believe in my thread I have several photos of Mirodoll NS with RS,DC Impldoll and Angelsdoll. It was a closer match to Angelsdoll which was pretty pale and RS. I believe my DC in the photos may be slightly yellowed as I just got a brand new DC Normal pink head (MSDsized) and its much paler than the one I have already.

I don't actually have any of the Mirdolls in the MSD size so I don't know if the MSD hands would fit the MSD Mirodoll. But I could see how the RS SD doll hands fit on the SD sized Mirodolls, because yea the hands on both aren't too attractive and are pretty huge. As far as matching there seems to be quite a bit that match well from what people have posted in this thread and the hybrid thread. I only have a few different companies but as I was saying above RS, Angelsdoll see too be good resin matches, which also along those lines Doll Chateau, 5stardoll and possible dollzone. Angel of Dream didn't seem too bad but mine is older so it may be yellowed, oh and Impldoll.

No I got the MSD guy actually. Sorry. I don't have the big boy and he is sculpted differently from mine.

 

Just thought I would share that my boys made it home. They made it here last week, but I have been very busy with family stuff. I have a box opening video that I need to upload soon. They are 60cm Miro doll boys, in ns and burnt sugar colors. They are going to be ninjas and I will post more pics as I work on getting their look together. I hope the link works as I am not sure if I am posting it right.

which heads are those, the one in the tan is pretty nice looking, the other looks a little smaller so can I assume it might be one of the girl heads?
