HEY YOU GUYYYYSSS!!! Look! Miro's posted their colors! They have figured them all out. Dark chocolate takes longer to make because the resin needs a longer time to air dry and of course, where seams are sanded, the color is lighter as per every other company.

Dark chocolate costs $20 more because it is time intensive.

JO: Try Beachgirl Nikita. Either on ebay or at her own store. I think she still sells those. (And I agree- measurements from companies are often not what I get when I measure.)

ORANGEDISCORD: Nice to see you! Will the legs matter much if they're in clothes? I don't know, it could... sitting might look funny. I have no room to seat mine- all of them have to stand. *L*

$ABBATHA: Did I ever post my head findings? Thunder's was 10cm high. My MnM head was about 8cm. NOw give or take- domes are hard to measure that way. So mine would be about 66cm I think. Then again, it might sit lower on the neck, not sure. YES, much room for difference there. And I think more than a few neck holes will have to be modded to work, maybe even sanding the neck of the body a bit.... but it'll be fun to find out! And you're welcome! Yomidoll's owner/runner is Heidi.

 

chalyss: You asked me for a picture of the leg mods I did on the boy body - here you go:

It's not quite finished. I ran out of Milliput and I can't get a new package anywhere near … I was also hoping for leg extensions by Mirodoll … I think I did almost the same thing that they did on their new body. My boy stands 64,8 cm tall, his head length is about 9 cm. The mods I made have balls at the ends so I still have mobility joints.

I am wondering about the "tan" color on the Miro color chart. It looks cool, but which company does it match?

Chalyss, thank you for posting the link! I wonder if it matches Dollshe's pale tan. I've been wanting a Rosen then again I've been wanting too many!

 

huh...I'll try viewing those colors at home...for some reason my work computer isn't showing them. Unless someone would be kind enough to throw a few photos up on the thread.

 

My Lightning arrived today! She was delayed in transit because of customs.Her faceup is much better than pictured on the Mirodoll website. I also like her more mature features: She resembles Bobobie's Charisma in that respect.

EVIE THE KID: Thank you! How did you do it? I mean, what was the process? Did you make it solid or partly hollow, or...? He looks Fabulous, BTW! And as for the Burnt Sugar color... it's supposed to be the generic tan of AoD, Dollzone, Ringdoll, etc. Or they tried for the darker tan of Angelsdoll. Not sure if it is tho. That's what they were going for.

 

I can't wait to see my boys. I got the tracking number this morning for them. They are suppose to be here on Thursday. I got 1 ns 60 cm boy and a 60cm burnt sugar boy. Getting really excited now.

 

OMG! Pics of the burnt sugar boy when you get him, PLEASE! I am dying to see this color outside Miro's pictures!!

I think I'll be adding a dark chocolate girl body to my ...I'm thinking it may work with Resinsoul Dk tan...if not at least it would just be the head I'd have to blush to match.

I just lengthened the upper part of the thigh and made a ball joint on the end. Its solid (with a channel for the strings, of course). I like the body a lot better this way, it looks more elegant. It still needs some work … (but the only shop in this whole big city that sold white Milliput has closed down).
I actually meant the color in the middle. It looks like a pale greyish brown to me. I've never seen anything like it. My DZ tan boy is more like the second from the left.

 

EVIE THE KID: Ah!! Okay, that's their tan, but it's meant to match Angelsdoll vivid skin and IH's real skin. It also matches BBB and RS's lt tan/coffee.
About the leg extensions, thank you! I want to try it, just nervous. *L* I asked Miro about just extenders for the 60cm boys but never got an answer back. I wonder if I can just buy a pair of their thighs...

Big sale going on over there now...thinking of ordering an MSD boy body for a possible RS/Mirodoll hyrbid But I am total newbie and a little nervous...

 

Hey, hope its alright if I join in. I currently own the very muscular SD body from Miodoll, and after seeing their sale have ordered an SD female in WS for my floating SD Resinsoul Lian head. I sure hope the body is as lovely as the photos. I also hope DSL (I think that's how she'll be shipped) is decent to Canada. I've never had them deliver anything to me.

Everyones photos are lovely, but I have the mods made to the very muscular body I saw at the beginning of the thread are lovely!

LIVELOVEYARN: Welcome! The Miro doll bodies are great for newbies- if you mess up anything, you haven't spent $600 on it! I hear the MSD bodies are great, though I don't really do MSDs myself. You should check the Miro MSD thread and see what people are saying about them. A lot of RS/Miro hybrids running around now. They work well together!

Hello all! My friend, mom and I just got our SD boy bodies in today. They're going to be used for Migidoll hybrids and another hybrid that is not yet decided.

I know a lot of people have had a bit of trouble finding clothes, though I got really lucky! I have a 70cm boy at home and his shirts, pants and shoes fit VERY well! I tried two of his outfits on my new body and they were perfect. ^^ The only thing is that the pants were a bit long, but it's not that bad. When I buy his actual clothes I'll either hem them a bit or just bunch them up. (Either should look good, since the extra length isn't that long at all!) My clothes came from Angell Studio and Yomidoll and all of it fit the same. Hope this helps some of you who have gotten the SD boy body and are stuck without some clothing pieces!

 

I want to see pictures!!!!! Did you put it together with the Migi heads?

 

I'll post some later tonight after I get back from an hour long field trip for school. xD

We haven't put them together yet. (Still have to order them actually. >< Anyone know if Migidoll does summer events at all, or if this will be the only event for a while? We kinda wanted to see if we could get them at a bit of a discount, but I'm wondering if they even will do another one by August. Haha!) But once we do get them ordered and they come in I'll definitely post photos of those too. ^^

 

I have no idea, I got mine on the MP. I think I saw a Cho and a Jina on there. Good luck! Did you get the Miro body in white or Normal?

 

Nevermind, I'll post them now. xD I have extra time before I have to actually leave. And I got the body in normal. I saw some MP listings for heads but they were either more expensive than the one on MD's website or weren't in the right color. ><

Well, i got woke today by the EMS woman with my order. Miro didnt tell me they had shipped, so i wasnt expecting them. I ordered another Thunder in normal skin, a tanned 1/4 boy body and the best of all, a Wind in burnt sugar. I havent seen any pictures of the burnt sugar, so heres one of her next to the NS Thunder. I have to say, shes lovely, shes very floppy, but lovely. I started out in this hobby with white dolls, and now im loving the tans much more, they look soo much more realistic. No free eyes this time though . Also, there are paler sanding marks on her head and so far ive seen her hands.

Miro is now working on their lilac and blue skins!

 

Yeah, my bad, i edited post, its Burnt Sugar.
Blue skin? Arghh, they are killing me. I emailed them a while ago about blue skin, and they asked what shade of blue i wanted, i told them, something vibrant like Avatar blue, but that was it. Maybe they just had to go work on it.

 

burnt sugar is gorgeous...I'm really wanting to try out the dark chocolate for a hybrid with RS. Really have no idea what head I'd get if I got burnt sugar...it looks close to my Anglesdoll in color...And I guess I could make him shorter..and switch a lightning head onto his old body...hmmm. excited to see the other colors as well.

 

LadyDeath: Congrats on your new dolls! The Burnt Sugar is quite an interesting color of tan. I'd like to see a comparison of that with other tans. ><

I asked Miro which tans their burnt sugar matched with, but did not get a response. They DID say it is close to Angelsdoll but slightly redder. I thought it might match to Volks, but looks too deep, I think.

LADYDEATH: *LOL* Oh you must have made their day! I was told by Miro that their big company dream is to make Lightning and Thunder into Avatar people. That color of blue is one they have planned for a while. I'm sure they were happy to hear customers wanted it. I revealed that on the thread but it was some pages ago now. I am interested in seeing their lilac. Not that I have a need for the color, but companies who do a lilac often make it look kind of grey. Grey is also a color they will be working on. ALSO, can you tell if the color is through and through on their dolls or just surface color?

 

Kitty Blue:I cant even figure out a good outfit for her. I had planned a Sari as i love the wonderful colours and her skin would be perfect as my Indian Goddess, but i cant find a bjd sari ANYWHERE. I cant even sew a button on a shirt, so making one would be completely out of the question.

Chalyss:Haha, that is soo funny. Im not particularly into Avatar, but i love the skin colour. I have a lilac Yun from Bobobie, and she is VERY grey.
Her colour seems to go all the way through, without sanding, its hard to tell. But, she does have alot of paler sanding marks im noticing now. All around her head cap where it meets her head, and along the top of her shoulders, which i cant imagine they would sand there, i dont know. Its nothing major, but then, shes my first dark tanned doll so ive nothing to compare her to. My only other tan doll is the light tan from bobobie, and hes wayyy lighter.

 

hmmm maybe look for some handkerchief/scarves I know there are tons of scarves and such out there might be one close to a sari looking fabric/print. I have a few of my dolls at the moment and a make shift outfits out of scarves because I haven't had a chance to make any clothing for them yet.
I can't really see either lightning or thunder as avatars just not the right shape of face/ears ect..but the blue color could be interesting.

 

Great idea, Maybe find some silk ones. Maybe i could find the underneath long skirt/top combo that goes under a sari, then maybe i could wrap the scarf over.

They start adding more fantasy colors and my wallet might be in real danger. I'm trying to be good but oh gosh, that blue sounds wonderful. I was looking at an OOAK green BJD this morning and I thought it looked just amazing. I kept thinking green would be really interesting with snake eyes.

 

Wow! I love the burnt sugar girl! I am really curious about chocolate, but now I'm getting hungry for dessert!

 

Concerning tans, maybe we can request no seam sanding? That way there's no resin color differences but you'd have the seams.

MAGKELLY: You might be in trouble then! I do believe they mentioned green and red as future colors, too!

LADYDEATH: They forgot my free eyes last shipment too. They said they'd send them next time around, but we'll see. I actually have tons of eyes, so it doesn't really matter, but, you know--

Oh and general info... they also said they'll be working on a leaner body; one between William (which is not their doll- the jointed feet dolls are not Miro) and Thunder. Woot!

 

uh oh.. now if they just worked on their face/head sculpts to make some better looking ones in both MSD and SD I'd totally be in trouble with more fantasy colors..lol..because those I would think will be harder to match with other sculpts.

 

Oh KITTY BLUE... but they ARE. They're looking for a new sculptor. They asked if I knew any Korean/Japanese ones, but honestly I don't. I asked instead if they could use anime pics and have their sculptor use those as a base. I know some great artists for that, but haven't received a response yet.

 

LadyDeath, your Wind looks beautiful in tan colour. I can well imagine her as an Indian goddess. Her face looks a lot like those of the the deities on Indian paintings.

Chalyss, great to hear Miro are working on a new body &#8211; I am definitely interested!^^ New head sculpts would also be awesome, very much looking forward to their new ideas.

 

All this news is making it hard to stick to my resolve of no more dolls this year....

I'll suggest smaller-chested girls after the leaner men. *L* I don't want to overwhelm them with requests. But yes, I agree!

 

hmm I like anime and all but I like more realistic or fantasy faces..the too pointy noses and sharp features are ok but just not my thing when it comes to dolls. Will be cool to see what they come up with. I may just hold of indefinitely until I see the new heads on future dolls. Well that is accept my dark chocolate girl body I figure at least I'll only need to blush the head to match. Also just to note they said they were going to attempt Black as well....and that would be a definite for me if they can do it.

 

Has anyone else had problems getting shipping charges added to their orders?

During this sale I ended up placing three orders and none of the orders had shipping added. My first order was placed a month ago and they had emailed me that my order should ship shortly. I did email Mirodoll that the shipping had not been added and to please let me know shipping. Today, I checked my orders and there was a note on my first order that said I still owed $65.00 for shipping. I just paid that and emailed them as I think this has held up my first order and I still owe shipping on the other two orders.

I did check my other two orders and it says - shipping costs can not be determined??

If anyone else has had this happen, please tell me what you did about it or if you did finally hear from Miro doll about shipping? Thanks so much, Jo

 

Chalyss:Yeah, i dont ever use the eyes i get with dolls, i have a big bag of them.
I love the shape of the girl bodies, but their boobies are a bit too big.

I actually found a sari on etsy for sale, but its a funky yellow colour, so my wind is going to have to stay nekkid for a bit yet.

Jo:Yes, this happened to me, they emailed me before they shipped my order to tell me to pay the shipping through their paypal. Its hit or miss with their shipping, it added it once with my first order, then my last order it didnt.

Kitty Blue:Black would be awesome, wonder if it would be charcoal or pitch black. Makes me wonder how you would get any pastels to show up though.

Jo: The first time was around a month or slightly longer, but i heard of other people getting theirs quicker. My second order i think was just under a month.

 

they sent me an email as well regarding the shipping charges back when I ordered, it seems to be an on going problem as I remember quite a few people had the same problem.

I don't know I've seen the souldoll souloids that were in black resin blushed pretty nicely, though I'm not sure if they used pastels or paints.

 

JO: It seems to be a common complaint. I haven't had problems, but many have with the shipping not being added.

I've changed my plans and now i'm quite near to order a female body in sd size, still don't know which color .
Their actual female body is just perfect for my recent project i love big breast bjd even if i know that can be issue for clothing..

Tracking # they gave me not working, grr. Nothing and it's supposedly been like 2 days since they sent them and it's not even in the system. Normal or should I be getting cranky?

 

Well usually it's like that..tracking doesn't show any update till 3 or 4 days it's like that since December..
